World Hunger / Famine Statistics

One-third of all childhood deaths in sub-Saharan Africa is caused by hunger

Every five seconds, a child dies from hunger-related diseases

Where is the worst hunger?  Asia and the Pacific: 578 million, sub-Saharan Africa: 239 million

What if these were your children - and there was nothing you could do?  Most of these people are victims of being born in extreme poverty to begin with, then put that together with a war-torn country, drought and polluted water.

Warning:  The following video contains extreme content with regard to desperation in one's attempt to relieve the pain of hunger; view with caution.

I would like to extend an invitation to you to minister food to the dying - dying helpless children.  If you would like to join in the efforts to help save the lives of these suffering "little ones" whom Jesus spoke of, please follow this link to: World Vision

World Vision Is There To Help

World Vision is a Christian relief organization founded in 1950.  86% of WV donations go to help victims; 14% to administrative costs.  Relief workers and physicians volunteer their time to WV, which keeps administrative costs to a minimum.  World Vision serves the needy in about 100 countries throughout the world at any given time.  They provide food to the starving/hungry, medical treatment and facilities to the diseased/sick, they dig wells and provide clean water, and they minister to the spiritual needs of victims.  I have partnered with World Vision since Africa's great famine of 1984, and I can tell you first-hand that when other relief organizations have packed up and left, World Vision continues working where there is a great need.

Jesus said, "Then the King will say to them at His right hand, 'Come all of you blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me meat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'  Then the righteous will say to Him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food, or thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you as a stranger and take you in; or naked and clothe you, or when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?  And the King will say to them, 'I tell you truthfully, that when you did it for the least of my brothers, you did it for Me.'  Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me you who are cursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: I was hungry and you gave Me no meat; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you would not take Me in; naked and you did not clothe Me; sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'  Then they will answer Him and say, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked, sick, or in prison and did not minister unto you?'  Then He will answer them, saying, 'I tell you surely that when you did not do it for the least of these, you did not do it for Me.'  And these will go into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into eternal life" Matthew 25:34-46
