A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit Vanuatu on Friday, February 3, 2012, at 03:46:23 UTC, at a depth of 21.7 km (13.5 mi).  This is third major (>5.9) earthquake to hit in less than five days.  Jesus said this would be a sign prior to his return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  The graph below shows the dramatic increase in earthquakes only in the last year:
