A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit Vanuatu on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 16:40:39 UTC, at a depth of 10.3 km (6.4 mi).

This is the fifth major (>5.9) quake to hit in the last seven days.  Jesus said these would precede his return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  The graph below shows the drastic increase in earthquakes just in the last year:
