USGS:  A 6.2 major earthquake hit the Pacific-Antarctic ridge on Wednesday, 11/2/11, at 14:59:26 UTC, at a depth of 1.1 km (~0.7 mi).

Commentary:  Four major (>5.9) earthquakes have hit within just the last seven days.  Jesus said that preceding His return, these things would happen: "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  The graph below shows just how much of a sharp increase in earthquakes have occurred only since last year:
