USGS:  6.6 earthquake hits New Britain region, Papua New Guinea at 00.03.36 AM UTC, at a depth of 21.5 km (13.4 mi).  There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.  The area is along the Pacific Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanoes and fault lines that stretches around the Pacific Rim (source AP).

My Comments:  These major earthquakes are occurring more frequently on a consistent basis.  Mark 13:8, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be earthquakes in various places, there will be famines and troubles; these are the beginnings of sorrows."
