A major 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit Negros (Cebu region), Philippines on Monday, February 6, 2012, at 03:49:16 UTC, at a depth of 46.6 km (29.0 mi). 

This is the sixth major (>5.9) quake to hit in the last seven days.  Jesus said these would precede his return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  The graph below shows the drastic increase in earthquakes just in the last year:
