A major 6.9 earthquake hit Loyalty Islands on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 12:19:55 UTC, at a depth of 15.2 km (9.4 mi).  This is the second major earthquake (6.7 and 6.9) to hit in the last week. 

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  You may have noticed that the frequent major earthquakes throughout the world are hitting in various places.  This is exactly what Jesus said would happen.  The graph below shows the drastic increase in earthquake activity between 2010 and 2011 (look closely at the 2011 increase on the graph near the border).
