Earthquake location 1.167°N, 77.384°W
A major 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit northeast of Yacuanquer, Colombia on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 14:16:09 UTC, at a depth of 153.8 km (95.6 mi).  There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

Twenty-two major (>5.9) earthquakes have hit various places over the last eight days!  This much activity with such great magnitude within a week is phenomenal and something I have never heard of before.  If you scroll this blog page for posts over the last eight days, mostly what you see are major magnitude earthquakes; among which are five 7 and one 8 magnitude quakes.

Something mighty is happening in the world right now, which reminds me of what Jesus said would take place just before He returns, "Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, famines and pestilences and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

During the previous 27 months, there have been at least 242 major earthquakes reported on this site.

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places" Matthew 24:7.

The Word of God says, "When they say, 'Peace and safety,' then sudden destruction will come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they (the wicked) shall not escape" 1 Thessalonians 5:3.

Jesus also said, "Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching" Luke 12:37.
