A major 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Vanuatu on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 13:34:40 UTC, at a depth of 23.1 km (14.4 mi).  This is the second major (>5.9) earthquake to hit in the last four days.  Jesus said that before His return, these signs would manifest, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  The graph below shows what a very drastic increase in earthquakes there has been in only the last year:
