Earthquake location 52.769°N, 131.927°W
A major 7.7 earthquake hit Masset, Canada on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at 03:04:10 UTC, at a depth of 17.5 km (10.9 mi).

Residents were evacuated in British Columbia, as that region shook from the greatest magnitude earthquake to hit the area since 1949.

Four major (>5.9) earthquakes have hit in the last week.  The graph below demonstrates just how much earthquake activity has climbed in the last year and a-half.  Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  "There will be great earthquakes in various places, famines and pestilences and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

Jesus also said, "When you see these things, know that it is near (His return), even at the doors" Matthew 24:33.

The graph below shows the drastic increase in earthquake activity between 2010 and 2011 (look closely at the 2011 increase on the graph near the right border).
