CNN.com by Dominique Debucquoy-Dodly (excerpts):  At least 20 dolphins have died after washing up near Cape Cod towns, an International Fund for Animal Welfare spokeswoman said Monday.  Between 40-50 common and Atlantic white-sided dolphins have been found stranded close to the shore since Thursday, and the number will likely rise, said IFAW spokeswoman Kerry Branon.  Some animals were released Monday near Provincetown, bringing the total number of animals saved to 19.  "It may not sound like a high success rate, but when you consider that 27 were alive when they washed up, I think we're doing pretty well."  The other eight that were stranded alive died.  The six-member rescue team is on call 24/7 and will continue searching this week.

Commentary:  There are many more animal deaths throughout the world that I don't have time to download to this site.  Because of the sins of mankind, the Bible tells us that the animals and man will mourn and languish on the earth, all a result of disobedience to God.  "...the Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land...Therefore the land will mourn and everyone that dwells in it will languish, with the beasts of the field, the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:1,3.  The Word of God also tells us that when these things take place, the Lord will return.  Just after this passage in Hosea, the prophet Joel wrote, "Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm in My holy mountain, let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord has come, it is near at hand" Joel 2:1.  God created a beautiful paradise in this world for His creation to enjoy and take care of, but the gross sin and negligence of man have caused the very creatures of the earth to cry out.  At this moment it is not too late to get right with God; tomorrow may be too late.  If you want to be saved, please receive Jesus as your Savior and visit the How Can I Be Saved page of this website for more information.  God bless you.
