Islamabad - A few hundred Christians have fled their homes in fear, after the arrest of an 11-year-old girl in Pakistan, for allegedly burning the pages of a Qu'ran. The child is also said to have Down syndrome.
Families have fled to a forested area and began erecting a make-shift church from tree branches. These people have no food or water, but they fear returning to their homes because of prevalent Christian persecution in Pakistan and the recent arrest of the little girl in their village.
Please pray for these villagers, for God's Almighty hand of protection upon them and that the Lord will provide food, water and shelter for them. Jesus said, concerning the last days, "You will be hated of all men for My name's sake, but he who endures to the end shall be saved" Matthew 10:22.
Christian persecution is on the rise throughout the world, especially in Muslim nations throughout the Middle East, and especially since the Arab Spring. We need to pray that the Lord returns quickly, in that Christian persecution will only increase all over the world, until the Lord returns.
