Fires Grow in New Mexico, California and Colorado US

New Mexico: Crews battling a massive wildfire in southwestern New Mexico's Gila National Forest were unable to stop the blaze that has raged across more than 190 square miles of mountainous forest lands since last week. The White-Water Baldy Complex fire grew to more than 122,000 acres and was about two miles away from the privately owned ghost town of Mogollon. Residents in the area were evacuated over the weekend. The fire destroyed a dozen homes and several outbuildings on Wednesday in the community of Willow Creek.
Arizona: Arizona fire officials said the Gladiator Fire, a blaze that has charred 16,000 acres, is now 40% contained and electricity has been restored to some areas.
Southern California: Crews were fighting a stubborn wildfire that burned through 4,100 acres of grass and bush in rural San Diego County. They had it 90% contained by Sunday evening.
Utah: Firefighters expect to bring a 2,200 acre fire under control 290 miles south of Salt Lake City.
Colorado: Crews battled two wildfires in Colorado that burned 12 square miles. The larger fire burned public land about four miles north of Paradox and 220 miles west of Denver near the Colorado-Utah border.
The Word of God says, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapor of smoke" Acts 2:19. It appears this may allude to many fires in the last days. In fact, last year and in 2010, nations throughout the world experienced record-breaking fires. Several hundred fires broke out in Russia in July 2010, due to record temperatures (the hottest recorded summer in Russian history) and drought in the region. An estimated 56,000 people died that year alone. The Bible also says more of those scorching temperatures will occur during the tribulation period (last 7 years before the Lord returns), "The fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire" Revelation 16:8. Very dark and horrifying times are coming upon the earth, as we draw nearer to the return of the Lord. This will be a period during which the wrath of God will be poured out upon the wicked for their evil works; the people of God will not be here. Jesus will catch up His people before the 7-year tribulation period begins, "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
