USGS:  A major 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Vanuatu region on Sunday, 7/31/11, at 14:34:50 UTC, at a depth of 23.1 km (14.4 mi).  

Commentary:  "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  Jesus told this to his disciples, when the asked Him what would be the signs of His return.  These things are happening before our eyes right now.  According to the scriptures, the church of God will be raptured, caught up from the world to meet the Lord in heaven before His return, so that makes the rapture even closer.  "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and we will forever be with the Lord" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.  This will happen before the Lord returns with His saints to defeat the enemies of Israel and set up His kingdom on earth.  The Lord's return is very near.  Are you ready?  If not, would you receive the Lord?  Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page of this website.  God bless you.
