A friend referred this (2000) transcript to me and I am pleased to share it with readers:

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at a football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, TN, by Principal Jody McLoud on September 1, 2000:

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and country. Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of federal case law.

As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate lifestyle and if someone is offended, that's okay.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that's okay.

I can even use this facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control. If someone is offended, no problem.

I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, mother earth, and call it ecology.

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as simple-minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment.

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, federal case law is violated.

This appears to be, at best, inconsistent, and at worst, diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except God and His Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules, with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be, at best, inconsistent, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression. For this reason, I shall, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.

However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God and ask Him, in the name of Jesus, to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

This type of stand for God is rare in our nation today, even among Christians, for fear of losing their jobs, or simply being outnumbered.

It was a tremendous blessing to receive this testimony given by Principal McLoud!

If every Christian principal, teacher and parent in America would have taken this type of firm stand against evil in our schools and society years ago, this nation would not be in the pathetic spiritual condition it is in today. The unGodly and atheists would not have been able to come into America's schools during the late 60s - early 70s and kick prayer out, bring in evolution and inappropriate sex education to very young children in the first place. Tragically, this is what happens to a nation full of spiritual wimps!

They came in and said prayer is out, the curriculum which teaches your children they evolved from monkeys is in and, by the way, we are going to start telling your very young children how to have sexual intercourse! Most "Christians" never said a word, but went about their daily business. NOW, the unGodly are teaching very young children that homosexuality, which the Bible tells us is an abomination in the sight of God, is good and appropriate and they even tell them how it is done!!!

Is God angry? I can tell that He certainly is and if you are in any way interested in knowing what He is going to do about it, you only need to study the Book of Revelation. In fact, Jesus said,

"For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" Matthew 24:21.

God is a loving, forgiving God, if people will repent and turn from wickedness; yet, the Word of God tells us that His wrath will be kindled against the wicked in the last days and His wrath will be poured out upon the wicked in a manner the world has ever seen, or ever will see, which would then pale the holocaust in comparison! Jesus said this parable about His return,

"But and if that servant says in his heart, my Lord delays His coming, and shall being to beat the menservants and maidens and to eat and drink and be drunken, the Lord of that servant will come in a day when he does not look for Him and at an hour when he is unaware and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers" Luke 12:45-46.

The wicked think they are getting away with breaking God's laws, and even some Christians think they are going to get away with denying the Lord before men, and for neglecting to teach their own children the ways of God, but no one, according to the scripture above, will get away with anything, because God sees all and He is a righteous and just God.

Ms. McLoud is no longer the principal at Roane County High School. Many unGodly people cursed and called for her job, as her statements were publicized throughout the internet. I was not able to determine why Ms. McLoud is no longer employed at the Roane County High School; she may have quit, transferred, or even been fired for her firm stand for God in that school. I can tell you this, wherever she is, God was pleased with her and He will take care of her; He promised:

"If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?" Matthew 7:11.

We are living in the last days, friends. Evil abounds in this wicked world, but Bible prophecies foretell the signs which will prevail in the earth when the Lord returns to gather His saints, and we are living in those days now.
