Obama Opposes Boy Scouts Ban on Gays

President Obama announced his opposition to the Boy Scouts reaffirmation of their ban on homosexuals on Wednesday. Obama called their ruling against gays "discrimination," in his statement to the Washington Blade.

Actually, I would call it "protection" against sexual abuse.

You need only look at the percentage of child molestations and homosexual activities among Catholic priests to realize that homosexuals practice perverted lifestyles, which the Bible tells us is an abomination, "You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is an abomination" Leviticus 18:22. "God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves; for this cause God gave them up to vile affections, and even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is grossly improper and receiving to themselves the reward of their error (like AIDS), which is just" Romans 1:24,26,27.

The Word of God is very clear about God's "rule" on homosexuality: "abomination." God loves everyone, homosexuals and all sinners alike, but that doesn't mean they are in the right. Even though God loves everyone, He created hell for satan and the angels (one-third) that followed him in his rebellion against God. Bible is also very clear in teaching us that those who do not follow God's commandments will end up in hell also. The Bible says, "He who says, I know Him (God), but does not keep His commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him" 1 John 2:4. The Word of God also says that we will be judged according to the life we have lived on earth, "We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad" 2 Corinthians 5:10. Homosexuality is forbidden by God and He will judge those who practice such sins.

The Bible teaches us that God not only forgives and saves those who repent, but He also provides deliverance, "...God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will, with the temptation, make a way to escape, so you can bear it" 1 Corinthians 10:13. New Zealand Volcano Mount Tongariro Erupts

New Zealand's Mount Tongariro erupted for the first time in 115 years. Flights were cancelled and roads closed after the eruption yesterday evening at about 11:50 pm local time. The eruption sent an ash cloud five miles into the atmosphere. An alert was issued July 20th regarding the volcano's possible eruption, but when it came, it wasn't expected and it surprised authorities.

The smell of sulfur was reported 80 miles away from the volcano, on the east coast of the North Island. In February 2011, a significant earthquake occurred just outside of Christchurch, on the South Island and 185 people were killed and countless buildings were destroyed, although the deaths were not widely publicized.

More volcanoes are erupting and great earthquake stats continue to climb, unlike we have ever seen in history. These events were foretold by the prophet Joel and Peter in Acts 2:19, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapor of smoke." Jesus also said these things would precede His return, "There will be great earthquakes in various places, famines, pestilences, and fearful sights and there will be great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

Another Economist Puts 100% Certainty on Global Recession

Marc Faber, the author of Gloom, Boom and Doom Report and well-respected economist, was interviewed recently on CNBC; and when asked what sort of odds he put on a global recession happening, Faber, famous for his predictions, answered "100%."

Faber is the "umpteenth" high profile economist to straight-forwardly give that answer to the news media. Although, with this being presidential campaign season and the liberals at the media helm, you won't hear much about this economic forecast for America.

Faber's prediction, however, pales in comparison to another well-known economist, Robert Wiedemer. Wiedemer's talents are unique, in that he predicted the economic collapse of the housing market as far back as 2006.

Wiedemer's outlook on the US economy today makes "Dr. Doom" Faber look like Mr. Rogers. In a recent interview for his newest book, "Aftershock," Wiedemer says, "The data is clear, 50% unemployment, a 90% stock market drop and 100% annual inflation starting in 2012."

Before this year is out, folks!

Various online news media networks repeatedly shunned Wiedemer's interview and refused to air it. Nevertheless, Newsmax is pushing the information and the interview can be viewed on Newsmax.com.

Instead of going fishing for another interesting news story, please stop and pause a moment to ask yourself if you are prepared for the skyrocketing prices, public protests and possible riots to follow. Now is the time to think about home defense and stocking what you can, because just a few months from now and early next year could be too late.

Scenario: If protests and rioting break out, the president could declare martial law. It is important to know what martial law involves, so you can be one step ahead of the disaster.

FACTS:

Martial law is defined as military rule imposed on civilian populations (Hitler turned Germany into a Nazi dictatorship through executive orders). Martial law can be declared due to national disasters, stock market crash, utility black-outs, riots, biological attack, ...anything leading to the breakdown of law and order.

Executive Order 10997: all electrical power, fuels and minerals would be seized by the federal government.
Executive Order 10998: all food resources, farms and farm equipment will be seized by the government. You will not be allowed to hoard food, since this is regulated.
Executive Order 10999: all modes of transportation will go into government control. Any vehicle could be seized.
Executive Order 11000: all civilians can be used for work under federal supervision.
Executive Order 11490: establishes presidential control over all all US citizens, businesses and churches in times of "emergency."
Executive Order 12919: directs various cabinet officials to be ready to take over all aspects of the US economy during a State of National Emergency at the direction of the president (Obama would really love that).
Executive Order 13010: Directs FEMA to take control over all government agencies in time of emergency.

TIPS ON SURVIVING MARTIAL LAW

Prepare before a declaration of martial law by becoming self reliant. Instead of being dependent on a bureaucratic system, be ahead of the crisis through preemptive preparedness. You might also face mob rule, chaos, panic, or a complete breakdown in law and order. Survival may be easier to handle in rural areas.
Avoid populated areas of martial law.
Create alliances with like-minded neighbors or community members who share your views.
Become transparent in the sense that you do not draw attention to yourself and your family. Do not tell people that you are storing food, just store your food and extra water.
Assist your neighbors, if they need help. You never know when you might need their help at some point.
Remain calm and do not panic.
Get informed and stay informed. You can get a SW/LW crank radio that even charges your cell phone with an SBC cable for about 60.00 at Sears.
Declaration of martial law means your rights are suspended and they may no longer apply. People can be arrested and imprisoned indefinitely without being officially charged with a crime (per Obama's National Defense Authorization Act, which he signed in HI on New Year's Eve!).
Freedom of speech and assembly may be suspended and media censorship imposed (it already is!).
Gun ownership would come under attack. Military personnel could be dispatched door to door to confiscate weapons.
Be ready to take a stand on important issues (you might consider letting the small things slide to focus on more important issues - like self-defense). If you believe as Patrick Henry, "Give me liberty, or give me death," understand you may have some very hard choices to make and prepare yourself spiritually and mentally.

I understand some Christians have the "door mat" mentality and we are to succumb to all authority. Please consider asking yourself, if you knew Hitler was coming in advance, would you be compliant?

A government which enacts laws that allow its own citizens to be arrested and held indefinitely - could be for life - without a charge and without a trial, is a real threat to its citizens. This type of law is unconstitutional and un-American. Because of the blood spilled by our forefathers, who died mercilessly on many a battlefield for our freedoms, we, as Americans, should never tolerate such a government in action.

Before the Romans invaded Israel and slaughtered most of the Jews, Jesus forewarned the Apostles, "...he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one" Luke 22:36. Jesus counseled the Apostles on self defense, against such monstrous and vicious men as the Roman soldiers. Jesus knew they would torture and mercilessly slaughter His own people and He let them know, in no uncertain terms, that He wanted them to defend themselves and their families. He let them know they were not required to be martyrs, because He would soon die for them. Groups of Christian Jews did flee Jerusalem, although the Apostles chose on their own to lay down their lives as martyrs, as did our Savior. The choice is also yours. If you have little ones, you may want to think twice about what Hitler did to Jewish families, including children, before you make that choice. God bless you.

Mass Fish Deaths in Epic Proportions

In Iowa last week, about 40,000 shovelnose sturgeon were found dead, which also brought about a $10 million loss in caviar sales. So many fish also died in Powerton Lake near the central Illinois city of Peoria that they clogged the water intake for a nearby power plant. Operators were forced to shut down the plant, because they couldn't take in enough water to cool it down, reported Time Newsfeed.

The Bible says, "The land will mourn and everyone that lives in it will languish, with the beasts of the field, the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:3.

These deaths are attributed to the heat and rising water temperatures. The Bible tells us the beasts, birds and fish will die, but the Word of God doesn't say there won't be reasons why the deaths are happening, just that they will occur.

The effects of solar flares and heat waves has also been foretold in the scriptures concerning the last days, "The fourth angel poured out his vial on the sun and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. Men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues, and they repented not to give Him glory" Revelation 16:8-9.

Peacocks Dying in Pakistan

Peacocks have coexisted in Pakistan with humans for centuries, but they have suddenly fallen victim to disease and they are dying in mass numbers there. In only three weeks, 167 peacocks have died and many others continue dying.

Peacock deaths were reported in the villages of Tharparkar, including Gullan Jattar, Bapuhar and Hoti Jattar, among others. The carcases of peacocks can be seen lying in and around many villages in Thar.

The Bible says, "The land will mourn and everyone that dwells in it will languish, with the beasts of the field and the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:3.

Since late 2010, mass bird, fish and animal deaths have occurred all over the world unlike anything ever seen before, and they are still dying. This is one of the great signs spoken of by Jesus, as He taught about the events preceding His return, "There will be great earthquakes in various places, famines, pestilences and fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11. Peter spoke about the prophecies foretold by Joel, as recorded in Acts 2:19, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke." Volcanoes are also becoming active and erupting throughout the world in record numbers.

Two Horses

My sister, Sheila, sent this story to me (author unknown). It touched my heart in such a way that I had to share it with all of you.

Two Horses

Just up the road from my home is a field with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse, but if you stop and look closely, you will see something quite amazing. One horse is blind. His owner chose not to put him down, but has made a good home for him. If you are nearby and listening, you can hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will find that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. A bell is attached to her halter and it lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her. As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he listens for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect, or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are blind horses being guided by the little ringing bells of those who God places in our lives. Other times, we are guide horses, helping others see.

Good friends are like this... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Damascus Exodus Prophetic

Bab al-Salam, Syria: Syrian troops have driven back rebels in two districts in Damascus, a week after insurgents launched a major attack on the capital. Witnesses say that young men are summarily executed in Damascus, reported Reuters. Government troops took control of the Damascus neighborhood of Mezzeh and executed at least 20 unarmed men aged 20 to 30. "Most had bullet holes, one with as many as 18. Three had their hands tied behind their backs. Some of the men were even in their pajamas. Several men had their legs broken and fingers missing. Others were stabbed with knives," said Bashir al-Kheir, one of the activists.

In Barzeh, members of the Syrian army under the command of Assad's brother, Maher Assad, executed several young men to regain control northern Damascus. The rebels have gained control of a border crossing with Iraq and another crossing with Turkey, which is a show of progress for the revolutionaries. Rebels also seized an army infantry school in the town of Musalmiyeh and captured several loyalist officers, while others defected, a senior military defector in Turkey said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 1,261 people were killed in Damascus, including 299 of Assad's forces. It is reported that the uprising has claimed about 19,000 lives.

Arab countries would help to ensure safe passage out of Syria for President Assad, if he stepped down quickly, something he has shown no inclination to do, reported Reuters.

As we, who discern the times, watch the "count down" of Bible prophecies being fulfilled before our eyes, I have been waiting for the invasion of Damascus, according to the prophecies given by Jeremiah and Isaiah thousands of years ago regarding the last days. The Bible says, "Damascus is waxed feeble and turns herself to flee, and fear has seized on her; anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail" Jeremiah 49:24. In fact, after Syrian forces bombed a northern Damascus suburb in an attempt to seize the town from rebels, thousands fled the area, just as Jeremiah prophesied they would.

These battles mark the beginning of the end of Damascus. The Word of God also says, "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city and it shall be a ruinous heap" Isaiah17:1. This is among the many signs marking the last days, the last generation, which will see the return of the Lord.

President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, Calls for World Forces to Annihilate Israel

The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, posted a speech on his website today, calling for the annihilation of Israel. He posted, "The ultimate goals of the world forces must be the annihilation of Israel."

Ahmadinejad's most recent antisemitic tirade should serve as a "wake-up call" and erode any doubts as to the true character of the Iranian government, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's spokesman Mark Regev said Thursday.

Iran's hostility toward Israel dates back to the Islamic Revolution led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979. Since that time and to the present, the surrounding nations are gradually being taken over by Islamic radicals and there isn't a nation left in the Middle East that is civil to Israel. With the help of Barack Obama during the Arab Spring, the few remaining nations that were nonviolent and civil are now radically opposed to Israel.

These events are right in line with Bible prophecy, "I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, the women ravished and half of the city will go into captivity, and the residue of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle, and His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives will cleave in the middle toward the east and toward the west, and there will be a very great valley and half the mountain will be moved toward the north and half of it toward the south. And you will flee to the valley of the mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azal; yes, you will flee like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah King of Judah. And the LORD my GOD will come and all the saints with Him" Zechariah 14:2-5.

So, there you have it! The little wimp Ahmadinejad can rant all he wants about destroying Israel, but the LORD will return as soon as Jerusalem is invaded and half of the city is taken captive. He is going to destroy all of the nations that come against Israel, it is just a matter of a bit more time. The LORD will return with "all the saints" and fight that last battle against evil in our dispensation. Will you be with Him? A major 6.3 earthquake hit the New Ireland region of Papua New Guinea on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at 09:56:44 UTC, at a depth of 70.6 km (43.9 mi).

This is the fourth major earthquake to hit in the last five days.
