African swine fever caused thousands to be slaughtered in Russia.
Bloomberg.com: A southern Russian farm had to slaughter all 30,736 of its pigs because of African swine fever, the country's largest outbreak of the virus. The pigs at the Plemzavod Industrial farm in the southern Russian Krasnodar region were used to supply pork to local markets, said Alexei Alekseenko, a spokesman for the Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's food safety agency. Veterinary officials at the Timashevsky district were fired, he said. A farm worker who kept his own hogs probably brought the virus in, Alekseenko said. African swine fever was discovered in 21 of Russia's 83 regions since 2007, according to Rosselkhoznadzor.
Commentary: Jesus's disciples asked Him what the sign of His return would be in these last days. Arutz Sheva by Tsvi Ben Gedalyahu (excerpts): Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran. "Iran is our neighbor," Russia's outgoing Ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, told reporters in Brussels. "And if Iran is involved in any military action, it's a direct threat to our security." Kremlin Security Council head Nikolai Patrushev accused Israel of provoking the United States towards war against Iran, the Russian Interfax news agency reported Friday. Last week's assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist has aroused more "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" protest rallies in Iran, where the scientist was buried on Friday. Iranian state radio said the 32-year-old scientist was involved with enriched uranium, a key ingredient for a nuclear weapon.
Commentary: Obama has hinted to Congress that he intends to release top military missile information to Russia (see recent post dated 1/8/12 - Obama plans to share nuke secrets with Russia). Apparently Patrushev doesn't watch the news. I would think everyone in the world knows that Islamic religious leaders in Iran lead mass crowds in chanting, "death to Israel, death to the America!" (see video dated 8/16/11 on the News Video page), so how is it that he blames Israel for inciting the US against Iran? Iran has incited the US against Iran. If you are familiar with Ezekiel chapters 38-39 in the Bible, you will easily identify these events involving Russia and Iran as the formation of Ezekiel's prophecy before our very eyes! A major 6.2 earthquake hit south Shetland Islands shortly after the 6.6 magnitude quake hit on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at 14:21:31 UTC, at a depth of 14.2 km (8.8 mi), according to the USGS. This and another major 6.6 quake hit Shetland Islands only about one hour apart yesterday. Jesus's disciples asked Him what the sign of His return would be and He told them, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. Obama hugging President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, who states he wants to "wipe Israel off the face of the map!" Obama has already taken "Israel" off of the White House maps!
Arutz Sheva by Tsvi Ben Gedalyahu (excertps): The Obama administration is sending the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey to Israel this Thursday to try to change what it sees as Israel's increasing readiness to attack Iran. Both Israel and the United States have stated they would not rule out a military strike on Tehran to prevent the Islamic Republic from reaching the capability of attacking Israel, or elsewhere, with a nuclear weapon. However, American officials are worried that Israel is closer to concluding that the "point of no return" is at hand, after which it may be too late to stop Iran. With 15,000 soldiers, diplomats and contractors in Iraq, Iran's neighbor, Washington is worried that an Israeli strike would place them in danger, the Wall Street Journal reported. Israel is concerned that Iranian nuclear capability would give it leverage to achieve its dream of dominating the Muslim world and "wiping Israel off the map," in the words of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Dempsey will meet his counterpart in Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, as well as Defense Minister Ehud Barak and possibly Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. President Barack Obama telephoned the Prime Minister last Thursday and expressed his "unshakable" commitment to Israel's security, but the White House declined to describe the content of the conversation. The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, on his first official visit to Israel, will try to convince Israel that new sanctions on Iran and the deployment of thousands of US soldiers in Kuwait demonstrate its intention to deter Iran. The United States has also sent a second aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf and underscored its vow to prevent Iran from holding the Western world hostage by closing the passage of oil tankers. The nervousness in Washington is aggravated by its officials not really knowing what are the intentions of Israel. The Obama administration is now in a position of slapping harsher sanctions on Iran, as a response to Israeli threats. Meanwhile, Iran claimed last week that an underground nuclear facility is now producing 20% enriched uranium, a key ingredient for a nuclear weapon.
Commentary: It would most certainly be wise of Israel to continue keeping its "intentions" veiled from this very untrustworthy Commander in Chief. President Obama has demonstrated time and time again his ill will towards Israel. First, on May 19, 2011, during his speech to Congress, Obama suggested Israel should return to its pre-67 borders! Second, the White House has removed all references to "Jerusalem, Israel" to just "Jerusalem" on their website (per Weekly Standard, 8/9/11). If that doesn't spell A-N-T-I-S-E-M-I-T-I-S-M, I have no idea what else does! This "turn-coat" only wants to delay Israel long enough to get them slaughtered by Iran, because he has already proven his disdain for Israel. Ahmadinejad hates Israel and said he wants to "wipe Israel off the face of the map;" well, it appears Obama has already done just that! Because of our antisemitic Commander in Chief, if I were Prime Minister Netanyahu, I would kick out all of the US forces and say, "Thanks, but no thanks; we'll fight our own war against Iran!" In reality, God is going to destroy those who come against Israel, "I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel and I will not let them (the enemies of Israel) pollute My holy name anymore: the heathen will know that I Am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel" Ezekiel 39:7. He also said, "You will fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your bands and the people that are with you. I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured" Ezekiel 37:4. Obama really should read the Bible; he might then take on a different perspective concerning God's elect.

Obama wants more power! HuffingtonPost.com (excerpts): Washington - Seeking more power to shrink the government, President Barack Obama on Friday suggested smashing six economic agencies into one, an election year idea intended to halt bureaucratic nightmares and force Republicans to back him on one of their own favorite issues. "The government we have is not the government we need," Obama told business owners he'd gathered at the White House. Lawmakers seemed unwilling to at least consider his ideas. Sounding like a manager of a disorganized company, and looking like one by pointing to slides as he spoke, Obama asked Congress to give him a kind of reorganization power no president has had since Ronald Reagan. It would guarantee Obama a vote, within 90 days, of any idea he offers to consolidate agencies, provided it saves money and cuts the government. His first potential target: merging six major trade and commerce agencies into a one-stop-shopping department for American business. The Commerce Department would be among those that would cease to exist. Attacking senseless duplication across the executive branch he runs, "Obama said, 'Why is it okay for our government? It's not. It has to change.'" Politically, Obama is seeking advantage on the turf often owned by Republicans: smaller government. He is attempting to directly counter Republican arguments that he has presided over the kind of regulation, spending and debt that can undermine the economy - a dominant theme of this year's debate and one often cited by his potential reelection rival, Republican Mitt Romney. Obama said he would use his expanded authority to recommend the collapsing of other agencies across the government, not just in the business field, without getting specific.
Republicans skeptically pointed to Obama's past promises, as the size of the nation's debt keeps growing. Indeed, Obama promised more plans to shrink things, if given more power!
Commentary: Given the manner in which Obama has bypassed Congress, to the point of illegally making "recess appointments" when Congress is not in recess at all, and going to war in Libya without Congress approval, in violation of the War Powers Act, it seems he could have accomplished a lot more for the good of this nation before now, had he chosen to do so. This is a campaign ruse if I ever saw one! He has relentlessly spent this nation into inconceivable debt; he has illegally bypassed Congress to make appointments he knows they do not approve of, and he recently signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act, which gave him dictatorial powers to arrest and hold indefinitely citizens of the United States without a trial! This man is dangerous and I wouldn't believe a word he says, especially during his campaign. He promised to end the war in Iraq as soon as he took office, but consider what he actually did. He kept the war going until about three years into his presidency, then brought the troops home. 905 US troops lost their lives in Iraq since Obama took office. If he had actually kept his promise, almost a thousand of our young sons and daughters would still be alive!! According to Political Facts, Obama has broken 57 promises in the last three years! (See the list: Political Facts) Congress better watch out, their jobs may be the first ones to go, in order to bring himself into a total dictatorship! The Word of God says, "Why do you spend money for that which is not bread and labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen to Me (God) and eat that which is good and let your soul delight itself in fatness" Isaiah 55:2. "If they obey and serve Him (God), they will spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures" Job 36:11. Obama makes fun of God's Word (see the video on the News Videos page). Huffington Post: You'd better watch out, you'd better cry, you'd better pout, I'm telling you why: North Korea is punishing insincere mourners, according to the Daily NK. An anonymous source tells the Daily NK, a South Korea-based publication in opposition of the North Korean regime, that "authorities are handing down at least six months in a labor-training camp to anybody who didn't participate in the organized gatherings" to mourn the death of supreme leader Kim Jong II, and to those "who did participate, but didn't cry and didn't seem genuine." Newser reports that mourners who came off as insincere have already been sent to join the 200,000 other North Koreans already in labor camps. An Amnesty International report published in May 2011 paints a dark picture of what's in store at those camps - estimates suggest that 40 percent of inmates die of malnutrition. The exact number of those to be sent to camps is unclear, reports the Daily Mail, but the paper estimates it could be in the thousands. The punishment news comes shortly after an announcement Thursday that Kim Jong II's embalmed remains would go on permanent display in the Kumsusan Memorial Palace in Pyongyang, the Associated Press reports, just as his father and previous North Korean leader, Kim II Sung, was enshrined. AP notes that along with the enshrinement, a new statue and "towers to his immortality" will be erected to salute the late supreme leader. The New York Times points out that the late ruler's birthday, February 16, will be recognized as "the Day of the Lodestar." North Korean state media had used the term "lodestar" in reference to Kim Jong II, as well as the name for long-range rockets the country tested in 1998 and 2009, the NYT reports. Since Kim Jong II's death announcement on December 19, his son and successor, Kim Jong Un, has made a significant push to establish himself as the reincarnation of his grandfather and North Korea's founder, Kim II Sung, AP reports. The Daily NK's anonymous source also told the publication that "Every day from 7 am through 7 pm, they have vehicles for broadcasting propaganda parked on busy roads full of people going to and from work, noisily working to proclaim Kim Jong Un's greatness.
Commentary: For those of you who believe that the Bible, especially the Book of Revelation is far-fetched, consider what you have just read. The Bible tells us that in these last days, a world dictator and false prophet will arise and force the world's population to worship this dictator, the Antichrist, and they will also be forced to receive a mark in their right hand or forehead, which they must have in order to buy or sell. The Bible says that those who refuse to receive the mark of the Antichrist dictator will be beheaded for the sake of Jesus and the gospel. "[He - the false prophet] deceived those who dwelt on the earth by means of miracles, which he had power to do in the sight of the beast (Antichrist), saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast, which had a wound by a sword and lived. He had power to give life to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast would speak and cause those who did not worship the image to be killed. And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, that no man might buy or sell, except those who have the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let he who has understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred, sixty-six" Revelation 13:14-18. "...I saw the souls of those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands..." Revelation 20:4. I repeat, if that sounds far-fetched, you might want to review the story above once again. We are headed in that direction, according to the scriptures.

The prayer banner has been on the school walls since the 1960s.
Fox Nation by Todd Starnes: A federal judge has ruled that a Rhode Island high school must tear down a prayer banner that encouraged students to be kind and helpful, because it offended non-Christians and was a violation of the US Constitution.
US District Court Judge Ronald Lagueux ruled that the prayer banner at Cranston High School West must be removed immediately because it promotes religion. Jessica Ahlquist, an atheist student, had sued the City of Cranston and the high school after they initially refused to remove the banner.
Commentary: The corrupt courts in the world today won't even allow some public school officials to promote the attributes of God, such as kindness and helpfulness, because they are wicked and in the hands of the "prince of the power of the air." The Bible says, speaking to God's people, "Previously, you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air (satan), the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience" Ephesians 2:2. Atheists do not want the Word of God exposed in public schools and because satan is now the prince of this world, until the Lord returns to set up His righteous kingdom, he reigns, and the people of this world will be obedient to him, their master. Since they do not want God in their schools, or His attributes published, they will receive more of what they are bargaining for, illicit relationships between teachers and students, shootings on campus, drugs, gangs, etc.. The Bible says, "Do you not know that to whom you yield yourself servants to obey, his servants you are...whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Marie Johnson, high school teacher arrested for sexual relationship with 14-year-old! HuffingtonPost.com by Aaron Sankin (excerpts): A teacher at Livermore's Granada High School was arrested on Wednesday for having an ongoing sexual relationship with a student. Police took 40-year-old Marie Johnson, a 13-year veteran of the school's math program, into custody after they received a call from school officials, who had just been informed about the six-month sexual relationship by the student himself. "They met each other through social media, texting, Facebook, and then through Words With Friends chatting option." The student in question, who was 14 at the time the relationship took place, told authorities that the majority of incidents occurred in Johnson's car. The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District has since placed her on administrative leave. Livermore Patch reports that Johnson was a popular figure on campus. According to NBC Bay Area, Johnson's son is currently a senior at Granada. "We don't think that there are other victims, but we're not ruling that out, being that she's a teacher and has had access to kids throughout the years," Goad told the San Francisco Chronicle. Even so, Livermore Police are asking anyone with additional information related to the case to call them at (925) 294-7531. An ABC News commentator said, "This is the fifth incident in the past five weeks involving school officials who have been arrested for child molestation, a coach, three teachers and a janitor."
Commentary: If you have a child or children in public school, does this "one a week" statistic bother you? It would horrify me, and I can tell you this, I would do whatever I could to get my child(ren) out of there. I have covered so many molestation incidents involving teachers on this news page recently that I have lost count. It is extremely alarming, but not surprising at all. Why do you suppose we didn't hear much about such incidents even 15-20 years ago? They weren't happening as rampantly as they are today, and I believe I understand why. The Word of God says, "Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will become cold" Matthew 24:12. Jesus said that in the last days, "iniquity will abound." As the return of the Lord nears, the world is becoming more and more wicked. Public schools are becoming the "devil's playground," since they kicked God out of the schools and brought sex education in. Their focus now is on teaching children, starting with Kindergarteners, sex, sex and more sex, and now they are introducing homosexual relationships. That's right, put sex on the minds of babies, right in front of their eyes and keep it there, then introduce perverted lifestyles and see what you get! A bunch of children having intimate relationships with the teachers! If you aren't quite yet convinced that this is a rampant evil sedition throughout public schools, I invite you to take this link to a very, very long list of teachers (just the females - not including the males!) who have been accused/convicted of molesting their students: Teacher list. I have recently discovered that this is only a very small section of the actual list, which is much longer still! The teachers are listed in alphabetical order and this list is ONLY the A - E list! Someone has censored the list! Just as Google has censored this website! The powers that be don't want you to know the truth! The Bible says, "We fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" Ephesians 6:12. WashingtonPost.com by Karen DeYoung (excerpts): The Obama administration will resume peace talks with the Taliban as soon as Afghan President Hamid Karzai formally blesses the negotiations, according to senior administration officials who indicated that the process could be underway within weeks. Marc Grossman, the senior US diplomat who shepherded a series of secret US meetings with the insurgents last year, will meet with Karzai late next week to ensure that he is on board, officials said. "If Karzai were to tell the Obama administration to go ahead, then we'd start talking again," said one of two officials who discussed the secret negotiations on condition of anonymity. A tentative US-Taliban deal, including the transfer of five Afghan detainees from the Guantanamo Bay prison to Qatar and an insurgent renunciation of international terrorism collapsed in December, when Karzai refused to go along with it. There have been no meetings with the insurgents since then. Although all parties have publicly said that they agree to one element of the deal - the opening of a Taliban office in Qatar, "We need now to make it real," one official said. Prime Minister Hamad bin Jasim al-Thani, for the first time acknowledging Qatar's support for the arrangement, said Wednesday that his government welcomed "any opportunity" to defuse tension in the region. Thani spoke after a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. One hurdle is that the Taliban prefers to talk to the United States and is "not willing to sit down with the Afghan government," one official said. Our job is to see if we can break through that door." Karzai has been under pressure from domestic opponents of negotiations to stand firm against the talks.
Commentary: The fact that our administration would even talk to these mass murdering torturers is outrageous. This is akin to Harry Truman wanting to sit down and have peace talks with Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Apparently, President Barack Obama doesn't see these murderous torturers wild people as real enemies. Any decent president aligned with the United States and the Constitution would not want to talk peace with Hitler, Stalin or these "towelheads" who are intent on killing us all, except the Muslims. They have tortured and killed enough people, including over 3,000 of our own citizens in the US, for us to know that we are dealing with the enemy, not anyone our president should want to have "peace talks" with, not unless he is secretly one of them.
Obama is frequently seen "talking with his hands." His speeches are tainted with hints towards dictatorial government and against Congress and the Constitution of these United States.
The Bible has information on everything: "Deliver yourself as a roe from the hand of the hunter and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. Go to the ant, you sluggard, consider her ways and be wise; which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provides her meat in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you sleep, oh sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? Yet, a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep; so will your poverty come as one who travels, and your want as an armed man. A bad person, a wicked man walks with an opposing mouth. He winks with his eyes, he speaks with his feet, he teaches with his fingers. Opposition is in his heart, he devises mischief continually, he sows discord" Proverbs 6:5-14. The message is "wake up America!"
