Jesus told His disciples of all the things that would happen to indicate His return was near, but he said only one thing would be an indicator that His return was imminent. This is a list of signs Jesus gave His disciples in their respective order in Matthew 24:
v.5 Many will come in My name saying "I am the Christ" and will deceive many.
v.6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but the end is not yet.
v.7 Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom.
v.7 There will be famines.
v.7 There will be pestilences (epidemic diseases).
v.7 There will be earthquakes in various places (all of these are the beginning of sorrows).
v.9 You will be afflicted.
v.9 You will be killed.
v.9 You will be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
v.10 Many will be offended, betray one another, hate one another.
v.11 Many false prophets will rise and deceive many.
v.12 Iniquity will abound.
v.12 The love of many will wax cold.
v.14 This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations, THEN THE END WILL COME.
Many believe in a pretribulation catching away of the saints, and it is my firm belief that is true. There are a number of scriptures which allude to the fact that the wrath of God is reserved for the wicked, not the righteous (Romans 1:18, Ephesians 5:6, Colossians 3:6, 1 Thessalonians 1:10).
According to Trinity Broadcasting Network (one among a number of Christian television networks that operate programs throughout the world), after they purchased their 21st satellite, they announced in April 2002, that their satellites were televising the gospel into every nation of the world (TBN). Even though there is some controversy about "what gospel" has been televised on TBN, we know that TBN has aired faithful men and women of God, who are anointed with the Holy Ghost, so the truth has been televised throughout the word. If TBN has anyone at all on their networks who preaches Christ and Him crucified, people are getting the gospel. Satellite television has been airing the gospel throughout the world since 2002, and that was the sign Jesus said would bring the end.
On 2/7/10, I had a dream of going up through the clouds in the daytime. The following morning, 2/8/10, I had a vision while I was (awake) sitting in my living room. I had a vision of going up through the clouds at night. After the vision and morning prayers, I began to study the Bible, as is my daily routine. I started reading where I left off the day before, at Genesis 41:32, which says, "Because Pharaoh had the dream twice, this means the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass." I was stunned when I read this passage. I knew immediately that the Lord revealed to me through my dream and my vision the following morning, that the rapture is imminent. I realized He was telling me right then and there why He gave me the dream, then the vision of the same thing twice! What is also incredible is that I rarely leave off in the middle of a chapter. Every day, as I study the Bible, I read through one, or several chapters, but very rarely leave off without finishing a complete chapter. As I sat down to study the Bible on 2/8/10, right after my vision, I began reading at Genesis 41:32. The day before, I left off reading only part way through Genesis 41. This is why I know for certain that the Lord will return any day now - He revealed it to me. * I had a dream of the rapture in the daytime, and a vision of the rapture in the night time because when the Lord returns for his people, it will be both day and night at the same time (while it is day on one side of the earth, it is night on the other side). USGS: Last 24 hours: The Kilauea volcano erupted on the big Island of Hawaii on 11/25/11, and is currently in "watch" status, with back to back DI (deflation-inflation) events continued, with the most recent DI deflation yesterday evening, followed by a drop in the summit lava lake. At Pu'u' O'o', incandescence was visible from sources on the crater floor and on the southeast flank. Lava flows were active southeast of Pu'u' O'o'. Seismic tremor levels were low and gas emissions were elevated. Commentary: The Word of God says, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood, fire and vapor of smoke" Acts 2:19. Reuters by Barbara Goldberg (excerpts): Black Friday turned into a black mark against American shoppers as riotous crowds brawled over games, waffle irons and towels, drawing international condemnation and even raising questions about the state of humanity.
One of the most outrageous incidents of the day was in the Los Angeles area, where up to 20 people were injured after a woman at a Walmart used pepper spray to get an edge on other shoppers in a rush for Xbox game consoles. Walmart seemed to have a worse day than many other retailers as shoppers screamed, shoved and elbowed each other to save a few bucks. Incidents across the country included a man shot by robbers in the parking lot outside the San Leandro, California store and shoppers pepper sprayed by security at a store in Kinston, North Carolina. A fight for bath towels purportedly committed at a Michigan store has become a YouTube sensation. Cheap towels also caused mayhem at a Walmart in Oregon, Ohio. "They were fighting over bath towels on sale for $1.88, as ridiculous as that sounds," Police Sergeant Jason Druckenmiller said. "A woman tried to get her hands on some towels when she was pushed from behind and that's when she came out swinging."
Commentary: As always, you can find it in the Word of God, "Know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. Men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" 2 Timothy 3:1-4. We are living in the last days and those who do not serve the Lord, serve Satan by default without even realizing it. The Bible also says, "No man can serve two masters; either he will hate one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (money)" Matthew 6:24. Jesus is implying here that if you are not serving God, you are serving the other "master" Satan. "The love of money is the root of all evil..." 1 Timothy 6:10. If people act like this over miscellaneous stuff they don't even need, God have mercy on the inhabitants of the world when food shortages hit America - and they will. It will behoove you to pray, serve the Lord and prepare for the hardships ahead in these last days. Farmers may think crops are healthy until harvest; the signs only show on roots.
BBC News by Matt McGrath (excerpts): UN scientists are warning that a virus attacking the cassava plant is nearing an epidemic in parts of Africa. Cassava is one of the world's most important crops, providing up to a third of the calorie intake for many people. The food and agriculture organization of the UN says the situation is urgent and are calling for an increase in funding for surveillance. None of the varieties of cassava being distributed to farmers in Africa appears to be resistant to the virus. Cassava is a global food source of particular importance in Africa, as it does well on poor soils with low rainfall, but like many crops, it is threatened by a number of pests and diseases that hinder its production. Viral infections have periodically wiped out the crop in some regions, leading to famine. Now the UN's Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) says that another virus is threatening the crop in large parts of East Africa. Scientists say the Cassava Brown Streak Disease (CBSD) is on the verge of becoming an epidemic. It first appeared in Uganda in 2006, but in the past few months has been found in Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo for the first time. Robson says that a particular problem with this virus is that farmers may think they have a healthy crop, until the harvest, as the symptoms only show on the roots.
Commentary: The prophets of old foretold the devastating drought, famine and crop failures in these last days, "Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore you will plant pleasant plants and set it with strange slips; in the day you will make your plant grow and in the morning you will make your seed flourish, but the harvest will be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow" Isaiah 17:10-11. Africans are dying from drought and lack of crops, but this virus is more grief, just as the prophet Isaiah said. God means business; He is God. There are people in this world who live whatever lifestyle they choose and think the day of judgment is never going to come, because God loves everybody so much. He does love his creation, but the law of God must be kept and there is a law of sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7). "We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it is good or bad" II Corinthians 5:10. There are several large Christian organizations working in Africa to get water, food and the Word of God to these people. We need to pray that the African people will receive the Lord and pray, which is their only true hope for relief. Judgment not only pertains to this life, but also eternity.

HuffingtonPost.com (exerpts): Bamako, Mali - Gunmen killed a German man in Mali's most famous city of Timbuktu and seized three men from the Netherlands, South Africa and Sweden, officials and witnesses said, as officials on Saturday ordered a plane to evacuate foreigners from the tourist destination. The Dutch and Swedish governments confirmed Saturday that their citizens had been taken. A fellow traveler said the other man seized was South African and she met the German man. Tour guide Ali Maiga was with the tourists during Friday's attack at a Timbuktu restaurant and gave the same list of nationalities. A witness and an official said gunmen burst into the restaurant, grabbed four tourists dining there and executed one when he refused to climb into their truck. Officials on Saturday evacuated foreigners from Timbuktu to the capital, said a man who owns a hotel in Bamako, where the tourists previously stayed. He asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation. Germany's Foreign Ministry said in a Saturday statement that the killed foreigner is "with a high probability a German national" and updated its Mali travel advisory to mention the killing. Also, Saturday, France's Foreign Ministry expanded the zone that it "strongly advises" French travelers to avoid traveling in Mali, moving the line southward from the Sahel region. Until a few years ago, Timbuktu was one of the most visited destinations in Africa, but it is now one of the many former tourist hotspots in Mali that have been deemed too dangerous to visit by foreign embassies because of kidnappings by the local chapter of al-Qaida. The groups footprint has grown dramatically since 2006, when the Algerian-led cell first joined al-Qaida. Security experts estimate the group has been able to raise around $130 million from ransom payments alone. Commentary: Approximately 43.3% Africans are Muslim, about 447 million. Vast areas throughout Africa and the Middle East are predominantly Muslim and kidnappings, church burnings, murders, stoning, amputations and decapitations are not uncommon. Jesus said, "They will put you (Christians) out of the synagogues; yes, the time will come that whoever kills you will think he does God a service, and they will do these things to you because they have not known the Father or Me" John 16:2-3. Very pitiful. When animals and people begin to die, it is too late to make preparation.
Sky News: Approximately 200 elephants have died of thirst in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park due to searing heat and water shortages, a local conservationist says. Zimbabwe, which as a southern hemisphere nation, is currently in summer, has been experiencing record high temperatures since October. "There have been 200 elephants that have died so far and they are dying every day," Johnny Rodrigues of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force said on Thursday. He said other game in the park, the largest reserve in the country, were also dying for lack of water. Adding to the troubles caused by the heatwave, pumps used to fill artificial watering holes have also broken down. To protect the few remaining watering holes, some of the elephants are now aggressively driving away other game, who are stranded with no means to quench their thirst, Rodrigues said in a telephone interview. The park is located in western Zimbabwe, close to the Kalahari desert, a very dry region with little water or vegetation. The death toll of 200 elephants marks a rapid increase from the official figure released last week, which said 100 of the giant land mammals had died from the heat. National Parks Director General Vitalis Chadenga announced that rangers were trying to "actively manage" the situation by pumping water from underground boreholes into surface level watering holes. Chadenga said there were too many elephants in the park, claiming there were an estimated 40,000 animals in a reserve that can only sustain around 25,000; but Rodrigues insisted the crisis is not being caused by overpopulation. He places the blame instead on a lack of maintenance and mismanagement of the facilities.
Commentary: This is outrageous, but as pitiful as it is, it is not as outrageous as the tens of thousands of people, human beings dying in Africa due to drought, in addition to the Muslim terrorists refusing to allow the dying to get food and water in different parts of Africa. Officials have stated that as many as 800,000 children are at risk right now (theAtlantic.com). What is more likely to be the underlying problem, that National Parks may not want to admit, is the fact that due to severe drought and water shortages, they are cutting the supply of water to these pitiful animals, because of the devastation among the people who are also dying of thirst. Any way you look at it, the people and the animals, practically the entire continent is tragic, but most of the world is not paying attention. Why do you suppose that is? America, Greece, Italy, Germany, Britain, Iceland, France, Italy, Pakistan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Argentina, just a string of countries are at risk of going bankrupt; and as financial panic sweeps Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America, not to mention the entire Middle East in complete and utter chaos, with people dying all over the place there, it seems the other nations have their own stressing issues at hand, if not mayhem in the streets. With all of the turmoil an devastating going on, it is a bit shocking to see that Americans are practically mowing one another down in the malls, the day after Thanksgiving, to purchase more than likely things they don't even need. It is very typical of the US, because the US media does a very good job of curtailing the facts regarding the real world crisis and the food shortages in 33 countries (the list is too long to name each one). The world is in a crisis and when water and food shortages start to occur, it is too late to prepare. The Bible says, "The land will mourn and everyone that dwells in it will languish, with the beasts of the field, the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:3. Jesus said that we will know the signs of His return when we see these things happen: "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. Huffington Post (excertps) by Erica Werner: They are fuzzy on some issues, but the Republican presidential candidates leave little doubt about where they stand. Rick Perry and Rick Santorum go pheasant hunting and give interviews before heading out. Newt Gingrich and Herman Cain speak to the National Rifle Association convention. Michelle Bachmann tells People magazine she wants to teach her daughters how to shoot because women need to be able to protect themselves. Mitt Romney, after backing some gun control measures in Massachusetts, now presents himself as a strong Second Amendment supporter. President Barack Obama, on the other hand, is silent on the issue. Democrats have learned the hard way that embracing gun control can be terrible politics, and the 2012 presidential election is shaping up to underscore just how delicate the issue can be. For Republicans, that means emphasizing their pro-gun credentials, but for Obama and the Democrats, the approach is trickier. "It's bad politics to be on the wrong side of the Second Amendment at election time," Said Wayne LaPierre, NRA executive vice president. "They are trying to fog the issue through the 2012 election and deceive gun owners into thinking he's something that he is not..."
Commentary: If you are going to vote for a president, wouldn't you like to know where he or she stands on major important issues? With regard to President Obama, it probably matters little one way or the other, if he speaks out, because according to the Political Facts gauge, he has made 55 false statements since his 2008 campaign, plus more half-truths than that. The bottom line is this, no Socialist/Marxist-Democrat believes in the Second Amendment (period). Historically, when governments turn Socialist/Marxist, one of the first things to go is private gun ownership. Of course, none of the unregistered illegal guns owned by criminals are confiscated, so that leaves all of the law abiding citizens unprotected, while the violent criminals stay armed. The president (dictator) and his/her staff keep all of their guns and security measures intact, so that leaves only the little people, like you and me, defenseless against criminals/murderers. Why do they confiscate guns? Simply because when they really get things into full-swing (oppression), like confiscating private businesses, homes, land, etc.. for the "good of all," they don't want anyone able to defend themselves or to protect their properties. Right now, people are focused on this upcoming "healthcare for all," but down the road a bit lies loss of freedoms and property, as well as slave labor, for the "good of the nation." These are the words of Jesus, "He said to them, 'Now, he who has a purse, take it, also his scrip; and he who does not have a sword, he should sell his garment and buy one'" Luke 22:36. Jesus advised his disciples to "sell their garment and buy a sword," emphasizing how necessary a defense weapon would be. He said this because he knew that the Roman army would invade Jerusalem and slaughter those who did not defend themselves or flee. Unfortunately, we live in a world full of unconscionable criminals and it is unwise to leave yourselves and your families unprotected and vulnerable, in the event criminals invade your home. Patrick Henry once said, "Give me liberty or give me death!"

FoxNews.com (excerpts): The allegations towards accused Penn State pedophile Jerry Sandusky continue with his grandson now coming forward with claims of sexual abuse. A complaint was filed against the former assistant coach by the wife of one of his adopted sons, Matt Sandusky, with Pennsylvania's Children's and Youth Services, his lawyer told ABC News. Sandusky has been charged with abusing eight boys over 15 years. He is currently out on bail awaiting trial.
New York Post (excerpts): State College, PA - The alleged victim who sparked the child molestation case against Jerry Sandusky has been forced to leave school due to bullying. The alleged victim - referred to as Victim One in the 23 page grand jury presentment - was forced to leave school midway through this senior year after fellow students at Central Mountain High School, about 30 miles northeast of Penn State University, reacted harshly to the firing of head football coach Joe Paterno. The now 17-year-old's psychologist, Mike Gillum, told Harrisburg Patriot News, the name calling and verbal threats became too much. School officials declined to comment on the situation, according to the report.
The investigation into Sandusky began in 2008, after Victim One's mother made Central Mountain officials aware of the allegations of sexual assault. The alleged victim testified to meeting Sandusky through the former Penn State assistant coach's children's charity, The Second Mile, in 2005 or 2006. Victim One testified Sandusky subjected him to multiple sex acts between 2006 and 2008. Sandusky has been assisting Central Mountain's varsity football program during that time and had "unfettered access to the school," according to the grand jury report. He was barred from the school district after the mother contacted officials and the matter was reported to authorities. The ensuing investigation culminated earlier this month in Sandusky being charged in a 40-count indictment of sexually assaulting eight boys over a period of 15 years. The 67 year old has maintained his innocence.
Commentary: They always maintain their innocence. While reading the article I posted on 11/24/11, Sixth Grade Teacher Charged With Raping Student, I couldn't help but notice that a former student said the teacher was "well liked; all the kids liked her; she is a good teacher; I am surprised this happened." Do you think you know your children's teachers? Do you live with your children's teachers? No? Well, you don't know them then and you shouldn't trust your children to people you don't know. I home educated my son and guess what? He was never bullied at school; he was never molested; he never got involved in gangs...I could go on and on. We were involved with a Christian home education network in our area, so my son was involved in group studies, park days, holiday events, group field trips, etc. When I quit my job to home school our son, it was traumatic financially, but we survived. I would do it again a million times over; I wasn't willing to put a price tag on my son's well being or his education. There are home educators in about every county throughout the US. Thanksgiving Day speech. President Obama drew heat from critics for not thanking God during his "Thanksgiving" speech. The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that the president didn't mention God in his address and that is not sitting well with some conservatives. Are we really surprised by that? As much as President Obama has even criticized the Holy Bible (see speech on that on News Videos page) and he did not say a single word during Easter, why should anyone expect him to give thanks to God on Thanksgiving? Besides, it doesn't happen to be a Muslim holiday. He actually doesn't look very happy to be giving this speech either. "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who know the truth, but are unrighteous still. When they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were they thankful, but became vain in their imaginations and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:18, 21, 22. Obama said during his speech, "We still give thanks to that most American of blessings, the chance to determine our own destiny." Now while President Obama is thanking his chance to determine his own destiny, the Word of God says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way" Psalm 37:23. Since Obama is determining his own destiny, we can only make one assumption, according to the Word of God.

Commentary: The graph below shows the drastic, incredible increase in earthquakes only since last year. Jesus said these would be the signs of His return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.
