AP (excerpts): Kabul, Afghanistan - A Taliban suicide bomber rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into an armored NATO bus Saturday on a busy thoroughfare in Kabul, killing 17 people, including a dozen Americans in the deadliest trike against the US-led coalition in the Afghan capital since the war began. The blast occurred on the same day that a man wearing an Afghan army uniform killed three Australian soldiers and an Afghan interpreter in the south - attacks that show the resiliency of the insurgency and are likely to raise new doubts about the unpopular 10-year-old war and the Western strategy of trying to talk peace with the Taliban. A spokesman for the fundamentalist Islamic movement, which was ousted in the 2001 invasion for its affiliation with al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the Kabul attack, saying the bomber had used 1,540 pounds (700 kilograms) of explosives. US soldiers wept as they pulled bodies from the debris, saying Noor Ahmad, a witness at the scene. "One coalition soldier was choking inside the burned bus," he said. "The bottom half of his body was burned," Ahmad said. NATO said five of its service members and eight civilian contractors working for the coalition died in the attack. A US defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity to release the information before a formal announcement, said all 13 were Americans. However, Lt. Col. Christian Lemay, a Canadian Defense spokesman, told the Associated Press that one Canadian soldier was among the troops killed. The discrepancy could not immediately be reconciled. It was the deadliest single attack against the US-led coalition across the country since the Taliban shot down a NATO helicopter on August 6 in an eastern Afghan province, killing 30 US troops, most elite Navy SEALS and eight Afghans.
Commentary: President Obama authorized the immigration of 80K Muslims to the US (see post dated 10/23/11 on this page). More recently, he just mandated removal of the word "Islam" from Terror Training manuals throughout law enforcement and national security communities (see earlier post on this page). Since we don't seem to be making any headway in the Middle East (all Muslim-dominated countries, except for Israel), one can't help but wonder if he is just trying to spread out the terrorists, maybe so no one country is inundated? There is confusion and terror in all of the (Muslim) nations surrounding Israel, yet Israel remains prosperous and peaceful, with exception to the bombs launched into it by the surrounding Muslim nations. That should tell us all something. What is President Obama thinking? "Better is a poor and wise child, than an old and foolish king (or president) who will no longer be admonished" Ecclesiastes 4:13. "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" Proverbs 14:34. Jesus said these would be the signs of his imminent return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. Let's pray daily for our troops who are in harm's way and risking their lives against Islamic terrorism constantly. Their families also need our prayers, especially those who have lost loved ones for such a cause as this. God bless them.

Azusa Street Revival building 1905-1908. Pastor William J. Seymour FoundationsInChristianity.org (excerpts), by Ken Horn: It was an old abandoned building on a run-down street. It had last served as a livery stable - before that, a warehouse. Just an "old tumbled-down shack;" but it became the tabernacle of the Lord's presence to people hungry for the glory of God. In 1905, Charles Parham opened a Bible school in Houston, Texas. An African-American believer named William J. Seymour eagerly received the teachings there regarding the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Earlier, a Baptist pastor in California, Joseph Smale, heard of a tremendous revival occurring in Wales under Evan Roberts. Smale went there and Roberts encouraged him to seek such a revival in Los Angeles. When Smale returned, he instituted prayer meetings and other similar prayer meetings began to break out in the area. While California believers prayed for a mighty move of God, the humble Seymour sat in Texas learning about the ways of the Holy Spirit. Next, God orchestrated a divine appointment that would launch the fledgling movement to unprecedented heights. A woman from one of the California groups met Seymour in Houston and was impressed by his Godliness. On her recommendation, Seymour was invited to pastor in Los Angeles. He accepted, but he preached about a fullness of the Holy Spirit accompanied by speaking in tongues. This message was foreign to his hearers' ears; thus, although many accepted the teaching, he was locked out of the church. He moved to a private home on Bonnie Brae Street to preach. Here, on April 9, 1906, seven worshipers were struck by the power of God and began to speak in other tongues. Soon people from all races and a rich variety of church backgrounds were attracted - and many spoke in tongues. It initially produced a movement that was color blind. Soon word spread that the Bonnie Brae house was too small. The meetings moved to an old building that had originally been an African Methodist Episcopal Church at 312 Azusa Street. This became the home of the revival. People visited the Apostolic Faith Gospel Mission there in large numbers. There was a continuous revival for three years. It was not uncommon for a meeting to go from 10 am to midnight; yet there were none of the trappings often associated with a large revival. In this, Azusa was much like its overseas companion, the Welsh revival. Offerings were never taken, but could be left at the door as people left. Spontaneity was the unofficial order of service. Even the messages were generally spontaneous. When the sermon was completed, the altars were opened and people flooded to them. Witnesses marveled that preaching so simple was attended by a power so great. As the Spirit moved, people would "fall prostrate under the power of God." They often got up speaking in tongues, with lives dramatically transformed. The movement did not exalt the gift of the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues. Seymour set the tone for Pentecostal doctrine early on, when he said, "Now don't go from this meeting and talk about tongues, but try to get people saved." He preached that a power for service could be found in the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire - and that tongues would surely follow this Baptism. The move of God changed people significantly. A tremendous conviction of sin turned people to Christ. It brought unbelievers and backsliders to the cross, worldly Christians to a deeper walk with God, and those who were seeking more of God, much of the Holy Spirit. The revival influenced people all over the world. They came and went - taking the fire of Pentecost with them - to Chicago, New York City, Oregon and throughout the US; to England, Norway, Sweden and other countries. Commentary: In the event that the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues is foreign to you, you can find the Biblical teachings about the gift of the Holy Ghost in Acts Chapter 2. It was originally given to the apostles, with over 100 other believers, on the Jewish Day of Pentecost, after Christ's crucifiction and ascension. This great outpouring of the Holy Ghost happened, just as Jesus said it would (Luke 24:49). Many people do not realize that the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, is still available to God's people today, to those who ask and seek after this gift from God. It is very sad how many do not experience the outpouring of God's Spirit. Instead, what you find are a lot of "dead" churches today, where you can't even hear true Bible doctrine preached, let alone have a "Holy Ghost filled service." You can find "Rock n Roll" style churches and "Progressive" churches, where people are taught that Jesus is not the only way to God and they are merging with other apostate religions! God forbid a minister should preach against sin in many of these churches. Jesus talked a lot about sin and the consequences of sin; He preached about hell on nine different occasions, as recorded in the Book of Matthew. Jesus spoke to the religious hypocritical leaders of the church in His day, saying to them, "You serpents, generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?" Matthew 23:33. Ministers today are afraid they will lose church members (and their offerings) and they don't want to "offend" people, so they stay away from the real truth. Their messages mostly consist of only half of the Bible truths, not all of them, only the blessing parts. A few photos below will give you an idea what some are doing; but the scriptures tell us, "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" 2 Timothy 4:3This is an abomination. Trying to mix the things of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ is against Bible teachings.

Relaxing Buddha idol amid chaos.
Washington Post (excerpts): Bangkok - Defenses shielding the center of Thailand's capital from the nation's worst floods in nearly 60 years mostly held at critical peak tides Saturday, as the waters began to recede after killing almost 400 people; but the threat to Bangkok was not over, the Prime Minister said, and the city's northern districts remained submerged along with much of the countryside. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra urged citizens to let the crisis run its course, as the flood waters slowly drain to the sea, with Bangkok lying in their path. The floods that have besieged central Thailand for weeks submerged entire towns across the country's heartland and shuttered hundreds of factories over the last two months.
Commentary: Unfortunately, Buddha doesn't see or hear the prayers of the people of Thailand, because he is just a hand-made idol, who can neither see or hear. If they would pray to the one and only true and living God, their creator, I am sure He would answer. "The rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, idols of gold, silver, brass, stone and wood, which neither can see, hear or walk" Revelation 9:20.

by Jim McElhatton, The Washington Times (exerpts): The US Department of State has bought more than $70,000 worth of books authored by President Obama, sending out copies as Christmas gratuities and stocking "key libraries" around the world with "Dreams from My Father" more than a decade after its release. The US embassy in Egypt for instance, spent $26,636 in August 2009 for copies of Mr. Obama's bestselling 1995 memoir. Six weeks earlier, the embassy had placed another order with the same book seller, Kalemat Arabia, for more than $9,000 for copies of the same book, federal purchasing records show.
Commentary: It looks like President Obama is very concerned about Muslims getting their hands on his book, which has many quotes favoring the cause of Islam. In his book, "Dreams of My Father," you will find such quotes as: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race (his mother is white) at the age 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites (page 15). "That hate hadn't gone away," he wrote, "blaming white people - some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." "There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white..." "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." While in college,' Obama wrote, (he) disapproved of what he called other "half-breeds" who gravitated towards whites instead of blacks."
All of the above quotes were taken from President Obama's book. They reek of prejudice against whites. Maybe he feels he has a right, after all that the blacks have been through. He should know that blacks participated in slave trading from Africa, as well as whites. There were also far more white people who hated slavery and wanted to abolish it than there were those who approved of and promoted it; that's why slavery was abolished in the end. His Muslim ties are deep and he is wreaking havoc in this nation with his sympathy for Muslim terrorists. The $70,000 he will receive from the sale of his books to the US embassy in Egypt (with our tax dollars) will help him with his campaign. It's a shame that the money couldn't have been used to feed starving children, who are literally dropping dead from hunger in Africa by the hundreds of thousands right now. "There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceeds from the ruler" Ecclesiastes 10:5. "Better is a little (money) with righteousness than great revenues (wealth) without right" Proverbs 16:8.
In his other book, "The Audacity of Hope," President Obama wrote, "I will stand with them [Muslims and Arab immigrants in the USA] should the political winds shift in an ugly direction (pg 261)." Yes, the chopping off of heads and hands and the genital mutilation of women is very ugly, but this statement appears to mean he will stand with the Muslims anyway.

Obama doesn't care... Imagine, this could be your child. Medecins Sans Frontieres (excerpts): After heavy fighting on October 20th in Dayniile, on the outskirts of Mogadishu, Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) was forced to suspend its measles vaccination campaign in the area. "Combined with malnutrition, measles is now the main killer of children in Somalia," says Duncan McLean, head of MSF programs in Somalia. During the first five days of the campaign, 4,831 children aged 6 months to 15 years were vaccinated in different parts of Dayniile; but clashes between the forces of the Transitional Federal Government, supported by AMISOM (the African Union Mission in Somalia) and al-Shabaab put a stop to the vaccinations. Commentary: I am still very curious as to how President Barack Hussein Obama can explain away the fact that he sent US troops to Africa to hunt down a "Christian" militant there, who was said to be killing people (possibly defending himself against the al-Shabaab Muslims who are decapitating people all over the region); yet these al-Shabaab terrorists have been blocking water and food to the dehydrated and starving, who are dying by the hundreds of thousands! and President Obama doesn't say a word about it and he doesn't lift a finger against these terrorists. Again, he sent US troops to hunt down a "Christian" militant, but ignores the Muslim terrorists who are cutting peoples heads off (slowly with knives) all over Africa and who are blocking aid to thirsty, hungry, dying children! Now we know why there is a hell! The Bible says, "Better is a poor and wise child than an old and foolish king (or president), who will not be admonished" Ecclesiastes 4:13. Isn't someone in the world giving some foreign affairs advice to this rogue president in the White House? Better yet, how about just some plain old advice on aiding these children who suffer so horrendously, by going after the Muslims who are blocking aid to them, instead of pouring so many billions of US dollars into the hands of Muslims! Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it not to the least of one of the least of these, you did it not to Me" Matthew 25:45. Reuters.com (excerpts): Fort Lauderdale, FL - As cash-strapped customers sell their gold to pay for everyday necessities, complaints against gold dealers have risen. The biggest offenders, according to a recent tally on the Better Business Bureau's website, BBB.org, are cash for gold buying companies advertising heavily to buy unwanted gold jewelry on cable television channels. One company had 369 complaints in the previous 36 months. The complaints range from pricing discrepancies and misleading advertising to customer service issues and claims for lost shipments. "Not every internet gold buyer is dishonest," says Michael H. Gusky, whose company, GoldFellow.com, has no complaints against it after serving more than 60,000 customers. "GoldFellow.com," according to Gusky, "was created to provide customers a safe, competitive and easy method to sell unwanted gold, sterling silver, and platinum." A 30+ year gold jewelry industry veteran, Gusky attributes his company's success and rapid growth to a higher level of trust achieved through his company's transparent business practices and higher payments. "The owners of GoldFellow are the most honest and ethical dealers I have ever had the pleasure to do business with," says Carla Stern, who first tried to sell her unwanted jewelry to two other internet gold buyers. "GoldFellow paid me $1,800 for the same package I had sent to a highly advertised on TV and internet dealer, who tried to pay me only $310." Gusky has a theory for why his pricing is so much higher than the competition's. "We could spend millions on television like the competition - or we could put the cash in our customer's pockets. Ask if you will be notified of your value before you are paid," he suggests, "and for goodness sake, never agree to drop your valuables in a regular mailbox. There's no record or proof that it has been mailed - and it's not insured, although many of our competitors would like you to believe otherwise." Gusky and his wife Robin, who is also active in the company, made their reputation during 30 years in the gold jewelry business. Their company grew to be the largest karat gold jewelry manufacturer in America, culminating with a sale to Warren Buffett's, Berkshire Hathaway in 2007.
Commentary: The current price of gold is 1,742.90 per oz. (goldprice.org). Of course, you won't be able to sell your jewelry for quite that much, but at least if you shop around and use wisdom in selling your gold, you can get the safest, best price for your gold. I think it's a great idea to sell off the gold if you need some money. Let's face it, we aren't taking it with us and times are hard. Even though gold is going up at an astronomical rate, I think selling gold for the immediate need is a much better deal than buying gold as a long-term investment. I'm sure you are taken aback by that comment, unless you already know what the Bible says is coming very soon. "They will cast their silver in the streets and their gold will be removed: their silver and their gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They will not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels (with food), because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity (in other words, gold [money] was their idol, to the extent it became sin, and it will not help them in the end)" Ezekiel 7:19. Those who are sensitive to the Spirit of God and know Bible prophecy realize we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus. If you know God's Word, or frequent this site, you understand that end times prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes, and much of the focus is on the Middle East. A day will come soon, after God's people have been taken from the earth, that people will only buy and sell with a mark, most likely an RFID chip. "No man can buy or sell, except those who have the mark, the name of the beast (Antichrist), or the number of his name" Revelation 13:17. The government has confiscated gold in the past and they will do it again, according to the prophecy of Ezekiel 7:19. Gold was confiscated in 1933 by Executive Order 6102, signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt. The order criminalized the possession of monetary gold by any individual, partnership, association or corporation. The possession of gold or silver coin, bullion or currency, was forbidden by law, punishable by a $10,000.00 fine, ten years imprisonment, or both. The excuse they used to confiscate gold and silver from US citizens is irrelevant, because the underlying purpose was to steal the true wealth of the people and replace it with worthless paper. Who do you suppose got all of that gold and silver? I think you're smart enough to figure that out.

Stacy Schuler sentenced to four years. Huffington Post (excerpts): A high school teacher was convicted Thursday of having sex with five students, some of them football players, after a judge rejected an insanity defense that argued the teens took advantage of her. Stacy Schuler was sentenced to a total of four years in prison for the encounters with the Mason High School students at her home in Springboro in southwest Ohio in 2010. She can ask a judge to free her from prison after six months. The 33-year-old Schuler, who could have faced decades in prison, cried as she was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom. The five teens testified that Schuler, a health and gym teacher, had been drinking alcohol at the time of the encounters and was a willing participant who initiated much of the contact. The teens were about 17 at the time. The age of consent in Ohio is 16, but it's illegal for a teacher to have sex with a student. "This is a noble profession that you have and I have heard a lot of good things about you, but I know that you had the opportunity, as all teachers do, to affect the lives of our children," Warren County Common Pleas Judge Robert Peeler said. "You crossed a line." Schuler's lawyers argued that she had medical and psychological issues and couldn't remember the encounters. Before sentencing Schuler on 16 counts of sexual battery and three counts of providing alcohol to a minor, the judge said it would be a "magnificent leap" to believe she didn't know her actions were wrong. Schuler didn't testify during the four-day nonjury trial and she and her attorneys declined to address the judge before he sentenced her; but parents of two of the teen victims made tearful statements. A father spoke of his son's depression and lost motivation and said the teen almost didn't go to college. He asked the judge to hand down a sentence to send a message that Schuler's acts are not acceptable and there are serious consequences.
Commentary: I have a been a long time proponent of home education simply because God instructed parents to teach their children in the admonition of the Lord, "You shall teach them (God's commandments) diligently to your children, and you shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up" Deuteronomy 6:7 (the entire 6th chapter focuses on teaching your children, and there are many other scriptures in the Bible relating to this). I thought I would look up the Mary Kay Letourneao story to strengthen my point here, but what I found during my search stunned me. I found a page on WorldNetDaily (wnd.com) with an extremely long list of women who were convicted of illegal sex acts with their students. The list was so long, I didn't want to count them. These are women convicted in only recent years; the list doesn't include male teachers. These women were convicted of single and multiple sex acts with students ranging from ages 10 - 17! Some of the teachers had encounters with a boy, multiple boys, or even a girl or multiple girls! One had sex with a disabled child! I didn't even read a fraction of the indictments, but I noted that two, whose charges I did read, were teaching in "Christian" schools! If this disgusts you and you still have school-aged children, I would like to invite you to read the Home Education page of this site for more information on how you can home school your children. * You are not required by law to have teaching credentials, at least in California; I am unsure of other states. Artist's rendition of 55 Cancri E Mail Online: Huge "waterworld" has boiling oceans hundreds of times deeper than Earth's.
A planet where a year lasts just 18 hours is a waterworld with a radius around twice the size of earth, a team of astronomers has discovered. 55 Cancri E is the innermost in orbit around a sun-like star known as 55 Cancri A that is around 40 light years from Earth. Now a team from the University of Liege in Belgium have revealed further details about the planet after conducting a new study. The team led by Michael Gillon observed the planet using both NASA's Spitzer space telescope and Canada's MOST space telescope. The use of the telescopes is significant as the astronomers could analyze the amount of light the planet blocks from its parent star as it passes. This allowed them to measure the planet's radius, which determined that it was twice that of earth. This discovery allowed Gillon and his team to deduce that while the planet is rocky, its size made it too large to be made from rock alone. The astronomers found that 55 Cancri E must therefore contain volatiles, which are compounds with low boiling points found on the planet's crust. They include water, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. The presence of volatiles led the group to investigate two possible outcomes. The first was that the atmosphere was made with hydrogen and helium, rather like atmospheres of ice giants, such as Jupiter or Saturn. However, they ruled this out because such an atmosphere would escape into space in just a few million years. Instead they concluded that an envelope of water, accounting for around 20% of the planet's mass was responsible for its size, making it a waterworld. By contrast, the water on Earth makes up only 0.023 percent of its mass. The waterworld on 55 Cancri E would bear little resemblance to that envisioned in the Kevin Costner film released in 1995. Instead, because of its close proximity to its sun, the water would be a state where liquid and gas phases become one. The planet may also be tidally locked so that one side is in permanent sunshine, while the other is in permanent darkness. The parent star of 55 Cancri E, known as 55 Cancri A is visible to the naked eye in the constellation of Cancer. The star is unusual in that it is just one of a handful that are known to have at least five planets. The innermost of these planets is 55 Cancri E. It was discovered in 2004. Commentary: The Bible says, "Beloved, don't be ignorant of this one thing, one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8. This scripture tells us that time does not exist where God is. That is very difficult for us to perceive, in that our existence here on Earth is so wrapped up in time observance. This article regarding 55 Cancri E's year only lasting 18 hours brought my mind to this passage in the Word of God. Of course, we already know that there are other time dimensions in space with regard to speed and distance, but a reminder of these facts should help us to understand more clearly that God dwells in a place in the heavens where time actually does not exist. Just because we don't understand it, that has no relevance regarding the facts. We should not forget that the Catholic inquisitors (evil men that they were) burned Giordano Bruno at the stake for saying such a "heretical" thing as the earth revolves around the sun! Jesus said to John the Revelator, "Behold, I come quickly, blessed is he who keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book" Revelation 22:7. Since a thousand years is as a day with the Lord, it has only been about two days since this revelation was given to John. We can see by the fulfillment of other prophecies, many of which are stated throughout this website, that the Lord's coming is eminent. Are you ready for His return? Here is one Progressive Church's "vision filter" - which looks pretty exclusive to me, excluding God that is!

Progressive Christians have a deep belief in the centrality of the instruction to "love one another" (John 15:17) within the teaching of Jesus Christ. This leads to a focus on compassion, prompting justice and mercy, tolerance, and working towards solving the societal problems of poverty, discrimination, and environmental issues.
Statements of contemporary Progressive Christian beliefs include: 8 Points produced by The Center for Progressive Christianity (TCPC):
1) Believe that following the path and teachings of Jesus can lead to an awareness and experience of the sacred Oneness and Unity of all life
2) Affirm that the teachings of Jesus provide but one of many ways to experience the Sacredness and Oneness of life and that we can draw from diverse sources of wisdom in our spiritual journey
3) Seek community that is inclusive of All people, including but not limited to: conventional Christians and questioning skeptics, believers and agnostics, women and men, those of all sexual orientations and gender identities, those of all classes and abilities
4) Know that the way we behave towards one another is the fullest expression of what we believe
5) Find grace in the search for understanding and believe there is more value in questioning than in absolutes
6) Strive for peace and justice among all people
7) Strive to protect and restore the integrity of our earth
8) Commit to a path of life long learning, compassion and selfless love
Commentary: All this sounds just heavenly (on earth), doesn't it? This is very interesting, in that these 8 Goals remind me of the United Nations' 8 Millennium Goals: 1) Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger 2) Achieve universal primary education 3) Promote gender equality 4) Reduce child mortality rates 5) Improve maternal health 6) Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases 7) Ensure environmental sustainability 8) Develop a global partnership for development
Most of the UN's goals are morally good, on the surface, but there is an underlying agenda which promotes homosexuality, and actually seeks to prohibit anyone from speaking out about their very public agenda in schools, universities and now "churches." Already in Canada the "hate crimes" legislature has landed ministers of the real gospel of Jesus Christ in prison for even speaking out about about this abomination committed by a minority (about 2%) of citizens. It certainly isn't any of our business what these people do in secret, but when they are trying to force their abominations into the minds of children attending public schools, universities and place them on billboards; it is up to men and women of God to take a stand for what is truth and speak about what the Bible says on these issues.
Addressing the 8 Points of Progressives (correspond by color to goals stated above):
First: The Bible tells us that there will be a one world government and a one world church: "All who dwell on the earth will worship him (the beast, AKA Antichrist), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" Revelation 13:8. "I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet" Revelation 16:13. The Progressive "churches" are going to help usher in the one world religion spoken of in the Book of Revelation 16.
Second: The second belief of the Progressive "Christians" is contrary to what the Bible teaches: "Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man can come to the Father, except by Me" John 14:6. Jesus said right here that there is no other way to get to God the Father, except through Him.
Third: The Progressive "Christians" want to embrace anyone and everyone as Christians, even those who are sexually perverted and those of all different faiths, idol worshipers, I suppose even those who worship Satan (they weren't excluded above). The problem with this is, it is contrary to the Bible: "Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils" 1 Timothy 4:1. "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears and they will turn away their ears from the truth and they will be turned to fables (lies)" 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
Fourth: Jesus said, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16. This same Jesus, as He noticed how God's Temple was desecrated, "made a scourge of small cords and He drove them all out of the Temple, and the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changer's money and overthrew the tables" John 2:15. Jesus loved the whole world; He died for the whole world; nevertheless, He stood for holiness and righteousness and against evil. He did not go around hugging everyone, telling everyone "You're okay - everyone is okay," in fact, He made the religious leaders of His day so angry, they crucified Him! "It is written, 'Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offense;' whoever believes in Him will not be ashamed" Romans 9:33. Jesus was truly a rock of offense; the church of that day crucified Him. In fact, Jesus said, "You will be hated of all men for My name's sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved" Matthew 10:22.
Fifth: God's Word is God's Word and it is absolute. We can question the facts of the Bible, in so much that we seek to have an understanding of God's Holy Word, but we are not to dispute or deny the facts of the Bible. Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will not pass away" Matthew 24:35. "Oh man, who are you that replies against God? Will the thing formed say to Him who formed it, 'Why have you made me like this?'" Romans 9:20. If we are seeking Biblical truth and understanding, that's different. The Bible says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and doesn't withhold, and it will be given to him" James 1:5. Seeking understanding of God's Word and disputing it are two very different things. God will respond to one; He will not tolerate the other.
Sixth: This is correct. The Bible teaches us, "If it is possible, as much as lies within you, live peaceably with all men" Romans 12:18.
Seventh: Preserving the earth is good, but focusing on it is not scriptural. Since God placed Adam in the garden and told him to "dress it and keep it" (Genesis 2:15), we are supposed to appreciate what God has given us and be respectful of it. Our focus, as Christians, though is to share the gospel. The last thing Jesus said before He ascended up into heaven was, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15.
Eighth: The Bible says, "Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that is not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth" 2 Timothy 2:15. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" Romans 1:22. The first and foremost purpose of each Christian should be to understand fully the Word of God.
