Japan Meteorological Agency: A major 6.2 earthquake hit Hokkaido, Japan on 10/21/11 at 17:03 JST at a depth of 190 km (117 mi). USGS declares this quake to be a 5.8 magnitude (they are often late revising their magnitudes).
Commentary: "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. There have been two major earthquakes in the last four days. According to the graph located within several articles under the "Earthquakes tag," major quakes are on an alarming rise.

According to Wars In the World (WarsInTheWorld.com), there are currently 56 countries involved in war as of 10/19/11, and there are 217 militant groups involved. Do you want to guess which religious group comprises most of those 217 militant groups? I will give you a little hint; they aren't Christians... Just remember that President Obama said, "Let me say this as clearly as I can: The United States is not and will never be at war with Islam." Are you tired of it? You can express yourself during our next presidential election. Who, besides Muslims, do you know are beheading people today? They are waiting for the arrival of their great leader, the Mahdi, who will soon come and rule the world. The Bible also talks about such a god-like dictator to come, who will behead people, if they do not worship him or his image. Think about that.

Gilad Shalit arrives in Israel.

Israeli officials criticized and Egyptian television interview with soldier Gilad Shalit minutes after Hamas militants freed him in a prisoner swap, saying the questioning was inappropriate and insensitive. A gaunt, pale and uncomfortable looking Shalit appeared to struggle to speak at points during the appearance on Egyptian state TV, and his breathing was noticeably labored as he awkwardly answered questions. The footage along with an earlier video showing Shalit being transferred to Egypt, where the first images seen of the soldier after more than five years in Hamas captivity. Hamas militants were in the area as the interview was being set up. One of them stood behind Shalit's chair, wearing a black face mask, a green headband of the Qassam brigades - Hamas' military wing and filming with a video camera in his hand. "You have known what it is like to be in captivity," interviewer Shahira Amin said to Shalit. "There are more than 4,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails. Will you help campaign for their release?" she asked in English. Shalit took a long pause before answering. "What has the experience brought you? Has it made you stronger?" she asked at another point. Brushing aside the fact that Hamas had barred anyone from visiting Shalit, she asked why Shalit only gave one interview while held captive. Shalit gasped for air, the handler suggested halting the interview because Shalit was not feeling well and he couldn't answer the question. Ms. Amin insisted Shalit had not been coerced to give the interview. An Israeli official questioned the ethics of the journalists involved. "We are all shocked that a so-called interview was forced on Shalit before he could even talk to his family or set foot on Israeli soil," the official said. Israeli security officials told Israeli Ynet news the interview was a violation of the deal for Shalit's release. The presenter even tried to get Shalit to credit the Egyptians, asking, "It was the Egyptian national security that mediated your release. There were previous failed mediation efforts, including one by the Germans. Why do you think this time the round of mediation was a success?" An ashen-faced Shalit answered a range of questions on his captivity and what he thought of the 1,027 Palestinian prisoners released for his freedom. He was then handed over to Israeli officials and only then given a medical examination, where doctors determined he showed signs of malnutrition and lack of exposure to sunlight. He called his family shortly afterward. Commentary: This interviewer, Shahira Amin, is obviously an unconscionable she-devil right out of the pits of hell, in my opinion. I did not provide Shalit's response to her questions in this article, because he was obviously under duress - so the idiotic interview doesn't count! It was a damnable attempt to distress the young soldier, who had already suffered immense, unimaginable torture for over five years in a dark Hamas terrorist's cell, as well as his family and countrymen who were watching. Amin said the interview wasn't forced; but while still in the hands of your torturers and their Egyptian friends, would you decline an interview? How utterly stupid can this woman get? In another report, Shalit was said to have fainted during the helicopter ride to Tel Aviv. It was obvious by looking at him, that he was shaky, frail and malnourished, sometimes barely standing, and he had difficulty negotiating stairs. Flooding in Vietnam.
DisastersCharter.org: After several days of heavy rain, at least 26 people have been killed due to flooding in parts of Central Vietnam. Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces are the worst affected areas and more than 34,000 people have fled their homes after days of torrential rain. Several major roads and highways have been cut off and rail services have also been disrupted after the flooding. The National Meteorology Center forecasts more heavy rain in the central coast of Vietnam. The center also advised that the water levels were dropping in the Quang Binh province while they continue to rise between the Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue provinces. A rescue operation is underway and food is being delivered to the worst affected areas.

Edition.CNN.com: At least 745 people have died in flooding in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and the Philippines since July, the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific said. Thailand has been hit the hardest, with 315 people killed in that timeframe, officials said. Monsoon rains across Thailand have affected millions of people in 61 of its provinces, the country's Flood Relief Operation Command reported. Cambodia, meanwhile, reported 247 dead since July.
Commentary: Most Southeast Asians worship idols and, just as God said in his Word, His warnings and plagues are going forth throughout the world. "The rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and of wood, which cannot see, hear or walk" Revelation 9:20.

This idol head in Tabasco is that of Olmec, the ancient priest who sacrificed children to Molech. These children were burned alive in the belly of the idol god Molech. If I lived in Tabasco, I would either get out of there, or get rid it (the statue).
Laht.com (excerpts): Villahermosa, MX - The torrential rains in the southeastern Mexican state of Tabasco have caused several rivers to overflow their banks and affected more than 90,000 people, officials said. Six of the 10 rivers in Tabasco, which is home to 2.3 million people, have overflowed their banks flooding nine cities. The Usumacinta, Grijalva, La Sierra, Puxcatan, Tulija and San Pedro Rivers all overflowed their banks, but the Usumacinta River did so by 2 meters (6.5 feet) the National Water Commission, or Conagua, said. Tabasco received a month's worth of rain during the first 15 days of October, Conagua spokesman Gilberto Segovia said. The situation is already an emergency because families have been affected by the rains and flooding, Tabasco Emergency Management Chief Roberto Lopez told Efe. The Usumacinta River, the largest river in southern Mexico, has damaged dwellings and farmlands in the cities of Balancan, Emiliano Zapata, Jonuta and Tenosique. The federal government has provided only enough assistance for 20,000 people, while the number of residents affected by the rains tops 90,000, Tabasco Governor Andres Grenier said.
Commentary: I have already written several articles recently about idol worshipers and how the wrath of God is poured out on those who do such things. Actually, Tabasco is primarily Roman Catholic, nevertheless, they do worship idols of the saints (not God) and they pray to them. The Bible tells us this activity is forbidden, "You will have no other gods before me" Genesis 20:3. "You will not make unto yourselves graven images, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" Exodus 20:4. These are God's commandments and it makes God angry when people worship images of anything made by hand! The Word of God says, "The rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone and of wood, which neither can see, hear or walk" Revelation 9:20. The Bible specifically makes reference to the fact that people who do such things suffer plagues.

Overcrowded refugee camps in Kenya and Ethiopia are receiving some 3,000 refugees every day, as families flee from famine-stricken and war torn areas. The meager food and water that used to support millions in the Horn of Africa is disappearing rapidly, and families strong enough to flee for survival must travel up to 100 miles, often on foot, hoping to make it to a refugee center, seeking food and aid. Many do not survive the trip. Officials warn that 800,000 children could die of malnutrition across East African nations of Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Kenya. Aid agencies are frustrated by many crippling situations: THE SLOW RESPONSE OF WESTERN GOVERNMENTS, LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND ISLAMIC TERRORIST GROUPS BLOCKING ACCESS, terrorist and bandit attacks, and anti-terrorism laws that restrict who the aid groups can deal with - not to mention the massive scale of the current crisis.

Commentary: If you read the article below, you already know that President Obama sent US troops to hunt down and kill a so-called "Christian" militant in Central Africa. At the same time, you can read about hundreds of thousands of Africans at risk of starvation in Somalia because Al-Shabaab's Islamic militants have been blocking food relief to the starving in Africa! Does President Obama have a heart? When it comes to Islam and Muslims and their issues maybe his thinking has become impaired. Why on earth would any president of any nation send troops running after a so-called "Christian" militant (true Christians do not kill people or cause terror), while at the same time tens of thousands are dying and hundreds of thousands are suffering and starving to death and millions more are at risk, because the same president did not send any troops to Central Africa to hunt down and kill Al-Shabaab and his band of Islamic terrorists who are blocking aid to the starving? A subdued Israeli homecoming ceremony for Shalit stood in stark contrast with the mood in the Gaza Strip, where buses carrying the first of 1,027 Palestinian prisoners freed as part of the exchange were escorted by heavily armed Hamas fighters. Hamas declared Tuesday a holiday and a mural depicted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreeing to the swap, as a gunman kicked his face into the ground. A spokesman for Hamas's military arm suggested that the group would continue to seek opportunities to kidnap Israeli soldiers. Shalit, 25, looked frail and dazed five years after Hamas fighters ambushed his tank, killed two of his comrades and dragged him into the Gaza strip in 2006. The captive soldier had little contact with the outside world, other than occasional access to radio and television news in Arabic, his father said. Shalit was visible only briefly Tuesday, as he was hurriedly ushered into Egypt through the Rafah crossing, plopped down for an interview with Egyptian state television and finally turned over to Israeli forces at a nearby border. Israeli doctors said Shalit showed signs of malnutrition and lack of exposure to sunlight. "He came out of a dark pit, a dark cellar," his father, Noam, told reporters.

Shalit appeared on Egyptian state television shortly after his release to discuss his captivity and offer his thanks. An Israeli official told the Associated Press Tuesday, "We are all shocked that a 'so-called' interview was forced on Shalit." He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was discussing a sensitive diplomatic matter, but said the sentiment was widely shared in official Israeli ranks. Galid spoke in Hebrew, answering questions posed by an Egyptian journalist. His remarks were translated into Arabic and English. He was asked questions before he entered Israel and before he spoke to his family.
* I did not include Gilad Shalit's responses to the most cruel and insensitive questions asked by the Egyptian journalist; also because he could not be expected to answer the biased questions posed, while still remaining in the hands of Arabs and not free yet, under the safe guard of the Israelis.
Commentary: Gilad Shalit was obviously emaciated and barely standing, as an interview was forced on him by the Egyptians, before he was in the safe custody of Israel. Most likely the only reason he was standing, or able to move at all, is Hamas probably "fattened him up" to the emaciation stage from the almost dead status he was in. He was so thin and frail, you could detect wabbling at times as he spoke to the insensitive and cruel "interrogation" interview conducted by the Egyptian journalist. She had the colossal nerve to ask him at one point about how he felt about his release, while many Palestinian prisoners "languished" in Israeli prisons. 1) Gilad Shalit was held in isolation, half-starved and most likely tortured in many ways during his imprisonment by Hamas terrorists. 2) None of the prisoners held in Israel are languishing, they are in fact on vacation in Israeli prisons, compared to Gilad's torturous treatment in Gaza. 3) Most of the prisoners being released in the exchange deserve the death penalty for their murders and terrorism, so they are all the more very fortunate to have been in the hands of Israelis. As she continued to interrogate/interview Gilad, he bowed his head numerous times, obviously finding it very difficult to answer her horrendous questions. The Hamas terrorists and many Arabs have openly called Israel "defeated" for trading 1,027 Palestinian terrorists and murderers in exchange for 1 Israeli, Gilad Shalit. Yes, Hamas, it's true; 1 Israeli is worth more than 10 billion Palestinian murderers and terrorists! Rejoice all you want, but your day of recompense is soon coming! Gilad is home and God has answered our daily prayers for him, because God is faithful. Unfortunately for you, God is also faithful to His Word concerning his wrath against you! You need only read Isaiah chapters 15-19. "Howl, oh gate; cry oh city, all of Palestine is dissolved, for a smoke will come out of the north and no one will be alone in his appointed time of judgment" Isaiah 14:31. Your demise was written long ago by God Himself!

WashingtonPost.com: Tel Nof Air Force Base, Israel - Militant Palestinian group released captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit Tuesday morning to the Egyptian government, Israeli and Egyptian media reported, the first and crucial step of a prisoner swap that includes the release of 1,027 prisoners in Israeli jails. Shalit, who had been held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, is expected to be turned over to Israeli officials shortly and will be flown to this air base, where his relatives are waiting. While Israeli officials made plans for a subdued homecoming ceremony for the 25-year-old soldier, whose abduction has engrossed Israelis for years, Hamas leaders were planning a big reception for the first group of 477 prisoners Israel has agreed to release in exchange for Shalit. Shalit's father, Noam, appeared Monday before the Israeli Supreme Court, where he came face to face with relatives of victims of terrorist attacks who oppose the deal. Several relatives filed motions urging the court to annul the deal, and according to Israeli new reports, some angrily confronted the soldier's father. Noam Shalit submitted a written response to the objections, arguing that the swap should be carried out. The court has refrained from stopping similar deals in the past and there was no sign that it intended to delay or stop Tuesday's. The Israeli Defense Ministry said Monday that Shalit will undergo a medical checkup in Egypt and will be greeted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials when he arrives at this air base. Officials said they would guard Shalit's privacy zealously. A corporal when abducted, Shalit was promoted twice while in custody, and again to Sergeant Major on the eve of his release. Once officials have custody of Shalit, they will give the green light for prison authorities to transport the 477 prisoners in the first of two groups to Gaza, the West Bank and a few other locations. Hamas leaders have billed the swap as a failure for Israel and have said it will embolden the movement's will to end what it calls the occupation of Palestinian land. Israeli leaders have said they reached the best possible deal for the release of a soldier whose 2006 kidnapping near Gaza triggered an outpouring of support in Israel.
Commentary: Any one of us should be quickly ready to say that we can place ourselves in the shoes of Gilad Shalit and his parents and that we too would be ready to swap a million prisoners for this invaluable young man. Gilad's life and liberty, freedom from torture before the eyes of the whole world, is worth so very much more than the vengeance of other parents, who in fact would want the very same if their children were not deceased, but in the place of Gilad Shalit. Bravo for Israel and all of those responsible for doing the right thing! Hamas is a cowardly lying bunch of terrorists, who will one day, in the not too far off future, pay the ultimate price under God's own hand for the mayhem they have ravaged on the Jews and, not only the Jews, but other innocent peoples. God is a just God! "Howl, O gate; cry O city, all of Palestine, you are dissolved, for smoke will come from the north and no one will be alone in his appointed time" Isaiah 14:31. Tommy, whose lesbian "parents" say is "confused" about his gender at the age of 11!
FoxNews.com (exerpts): A lesbian couple in California, who say their 11-year-old son Tommy, who wants to be a girl named Tammy, are giving their child hormone blockers that delay the onset of puberty, so that he can have more time to decide if he wants to change his gender. The couple's supporters say the hormone blocking therapy has only minor side effects and is appropriate for a child who is unsure of his gender. "This is definitely a changing landscape for 'transgender' youth," said Joel Baum, Director of Education and Training for Gender Spectrum, a California-based nonprofit group. This is about giving kids and their families the opportunity to make the right decision. Critics of the treatment say, 11-year-olds are not old enough to make life-altering decisions about changing their gender, and parents should not be encouraging them. They say its too soon to tell what the side effects of the treatments may be, and they say Tommy's parents, Pauline Moreno and Debra Lobel, are irresponsible for seeking them and allowing them to be administered. "This is child abuse. It's like performing liposuction on an anorexic child," said Dr. Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at John Hopkins University. "It is a disorder of the mind, not a disorder of the body. Dealing with it in this way is not dealing with the problem that truly exists. We shouldn't be 'mucking around' with nature; we can't assume what the outcome will be," McHugh said. Dr. Manny Alvarez, senior managing health editor of FoxNews.com, said the hormone blockers also may pose a medical risk. "I think that its highly inappropriate to be interfering with natural hormonal growth patterns," Alvarez said. "Potential long-term effects can include other abnormalities of hormones, vascular complications and even potential cancer. I think that if this child, as he finishes his puberty and teenage years, decides to undergo a transgender procedure, then there are proper channels to do so; but to do it at the age of 11 could be potentially dangerous to the health of this child," he said. Tommy's parents, Moreno and Lobel, say they support their child and feel this is the best way for him to find an answer to a question he's been asking all his life. They say Tommy, whom they call Tammy, began taking GnRH inhibitors over the summer so that he will remain a prepubescent boy until he turns 14 or 15. They say they want to give him more time to explore the female gender identity that he associates with.
Commentary: Wow, look how quickly these people changed the name of this poor child; talk about push and shove! There is no doubt he has been encompassed by all kinds of sexually promiscuous and perverted lifestyles, otherwise a normal 11-year-old generally doesn't pose these kinds of questions, and certainly not at a younger age! I thank God for these doctors who are bold enough to say the truth about this outrageous behavior - child abuse! These "parents" are obviously not as concerned about the "minor risks" and all of the potential damaging affects of this therapy, as they are VALIDATING their own sexually perverse behaviors through the life and mind of this poor child! I have read locally about two children recently who committed suicide and they were both gays. This lifestyle is not only an abomination in the sight of God, it is directly, or indirectly, the cause of the third greatest number of deaths globally. My case in point: HIV/AIDS! 1.8 million people died in 2009 of AIDS (2010 stats not available yet, source: avert.org). Can you fathom how many people have died from illicit sexual behaviors since the first AIDS case, if 1.8 million people died in 2009 alone? Isn't that proof enough of God's Holy Word? Leviticus 20:13 says, "If a man lies with mankind, as he would with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination and they will surely be put to death; their blood will be upon them." The same rule applies for "women with women" (Romans 1:26). This is the law of God. God is our creator and, even though many do not abide by His laws today, His spiritual laws are still in effect.

USGS: A major 6.3 earthquake hit the New Britain region of Papua New Guinea on 10/18/11 at 05:05:04 UTC, at a depth of 9.9 km (6.2 mi).Commentary: "Great earthquakes will be in various places, and famines and pestilences, and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11. There have been four major (>5.9) earthquakes throughout the world in the last six days, and statistics continue to climb as time passes. It is time to pray and draw close to our Heavenly Father, who "is our help in the time of need." "Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need" Hebrews 4:16. Now is the time of preparation. I'm not speaking as much about preparation for catastrophes that are coming, according to the scriptures, but preparation for our eternal destiny, heaven or hell. God is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9), but we all have a choice. God did not create puppets; He created man to come to know Him and love Him, and receive eternal life through His Son, Jesus.
