CNSNews.com (excerpts taken): The Obama Administration passed another fiscal milestone last week according to new data released by the Treasury Department. As of the close of business on October 3, the total national (visible) debt was $14,837,099,271,196.71 - up about 44.8 billion from September 30. That means that in the less than three years Obama has been in office, the federal debt has increased by 4.212 trillion - more than the total national debt of about 4.1672 trillion accumulated by ALL 41 US PRESIDENTS FROM GEORGE WASHINGTON THROUGH GEORGE H W BUSH COMBINED!! This 4.212 trillion increase in the national debt means that during Obama's term, the federal government has already borrowed about an additional $35,835 for every American household, or $44,980 for every full-time private sector worker. When Obama was inaugurated on January 20, 2009, according to the Treasury Department, the total national debt stood at $10,626,877,048,913.08. At the end of January 1993, the month that president George H W Bush left office, the total national debt was $4.1672 trillion, according to the Treasury Department. Thus, the total national debt accumulated by the first 41 presidents combined was about 44.8 billion less than the approximately $4.212 trillion in new debt added during Obama's term. Obama has been in office about 33 months. During that time, the debt increased at an average pace of $4.27 billion per day. Were that rate to continue until Obama's term ends on January 20, 2013, the debt would then stand at about $16.86534 trillion - an increase of more than $6.2 trillion for Obama's four years. That would equal nearly $53,000 for each American household, or more than $66,000 for every full-time private sector worker. The total national debt did not exceed $6.2 trillion until 2002, when George W Bush was president.
Commentary: President Obama has a socialist mind-set and Marxist agenda. Bankrupting America is on his "To Do" list and is necessary before everything can be herded under a socialist government rule - dictatorship. If you want more of the same, vote him in again next term. If you're fed up, I don't recommend him or Cain. FoxNews.com: Chongqing, China - Planes were dramatically diverted away from a major Chinese airport after reports of a UFO circling a runway, the Shanghai Daily reported Thursday. The mysterious object was spotted Wednesday afternoon floating high above Jiangbei International Airport in the city of Chongqing, an important aviation hub for southwestern China. Worried officials diverted several flights to other airports before it disappeared about 50 minutes later and air traffic was allowed to return to normal. The Chongqing government has not offered any explanation for the UFO, Shanghai Daily said. However, skeptical airport workers believe it was a sky lantern or a large balloon, the newspaper said. Wednesday's scare mirrors an incident in July last year when Xiaoshan airport in the eastern city of Hangzhou was closed after baffled air traffic controllers spotted a UFO on their radar screens. The object vanished, but footage of a strange glowing orb streaking across the night sky was posted on You Tube, sparking global interest in the supposed close encounter. Some of the most profound things I have ever seen were various video clips taken throughout Jerusalem on January 28, 2011, showing a UFO over Jerusalem at the Temple Mount. These photos show unarmed Israeli troops being attacked by people on the flotillas, as they attempted to stop the flotilla from illegally crossing the maritime blockade. Now, Obama wants Israel to apologize!
Israel Today (excerpts): Israel's largest daily newspaper Yediot Ahronot reported on Wednesday that the Obama Administration is threatening Israel to either apologize to Turkey over its interception of a Gaza "aid" (there was not one box of supplies resembling "aid" found on that vessel) flotilla last year, or risk strained ties with Washington. Israeli diplomats in Washington told the newspaper that they had received a communique from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton insisting that the rift between Israel and Turkey was harming American interests in the region, such as affecting regime change in neighboring Syria. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan demands that Israel publicly apologize for intercepting a May 2010 "humanitarian aid" flotilla that tried to break Israel's maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip. The flotilla had set sail from Turkey and nine Turkish nationals were killed when they and others aboard the largest ship, the Mavi Marmara, attacked the Israeli boarding party. Erdogan called the operation an act of piracy, and even though Washington and other Western powers agree with Israel that the Gaza blockade is legal and legitimate, the Obama Administration has decided that it is more politically expedient to simply have Israel meet Erdogan's unreasonable demands (as if that won't have any long-term negative consequences). A year ago, Obama actually pressured Erdogan to either make up with Israel, or risk his ability to purchase American weapons. Like other Middle East powers embroiled in conflict with Israel, Erdogan had learned that Western threats are fleeting and toothless. Obama never followed-through on that ultimatum. What's worse, the Obama Administration's pressure on Israel - the party it agrees is in the right - has also reportedly come in the form of a threat. According to the Israeli diplomats cited in the Yediot report, they were told that if Israel does not comply with Clinton's request to apologize to Turkey, the White House may suddenly find itself unable to continue building opposition to a unilateral Palestinian declaration of statehood at the UN next month. "God forbid we apologize," declared Israeli Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon at a conference of Likud activites on Tuesday. Demonstrating a firm understanding of Israel's regional antagonists, Ya'alon, a former IDF chief, noted that Erdogan "will never let go, even after we apologize." Most Israeli leaders maintain that the flotilla was legal and that the deaths, while regrettable, cannot be blamed on Israel. The Israelis fear that meeting Erdogan's demands will negate that position, and play into the hands of those who claim Israel is conducting a cruel and inhumane siege against Gaza. However, Israel is more easily pressured than its neighbors, and those same Israeli leaders are even more afraid of upsetting the White House. As such, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet has for weeks been debating not just if, but how to apologize to Turkey in a way that does the least harm to Israel.
Commentary: "Or risk strained ties with Washington?" I would like to ask the Obama Administration how much more "strained" it could get? With Obama preempting Netanyahu's speech before the US House of Representatives earlier this year, demanding that Israel revert back to their pre-'67 borders, compromising the security of their entire nation, how much more strained can it get? I have no doubt that after the 26 standing ovations Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received from our own House, right after Obama's offensive and embarrassing speech the preceding day, President Obama must be upset. Apologize? Apologize for being attacked by the flotilla occupants, as the unarmed troops boarded the flotilla to stop it from unlawfully breaching the maritime blockade? Those on the vessels knew they were breaking international law by trying to cross, then they attacked the Israeli troops, who had no alternative but to defend themselves. The US Congress and most of the peoples of this nation are for Israel, our current Administration is obviously opposing. The Muslims in Turkey keep chanting "death to America, death to America," which has nothing to do with Israel. As far as "affecting American interests, such as affecting regime change in Syria;" well, the Muslim Brotherhood, taking over Syria, are still going to hate this country apology or not. Associated Press: Atlanta, GA - Two children and a young man have died this summer from a brain-eating amoeba that lives in water, health officials say. This month, the rare infection killed a 16-year-old Florida girl, who fell ill after swimming, and a nine-year-old Virginia boy, who died a week after he went to a fishing day camp. The boy had been dunked the first day of camp, his mother told the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Those cases are consistent with past cases, which are usually kids - often boys - who get exposed to the bug while swimming or doing water sports in warm ponds or lakes. The third case, in Louisiana, was more unusual. It was a young man whose death in June was traced to tap water he used in a device called a neti pot. It's a small teapot-shaped container used to rinse out the nose and sinuses with salt water to relieve allergies, colds and sinus trouble. Health officials later found the amoeba in the home's water system. The problem was confined to the house; it wasn't found in city water samples, said Dr. Raoult Ratard, Louisiana's state epidemiologist. The young man, who was only identified as in his 20s and from southeast Louisiana, had not been swimming nor been in contact with surface water, Ratard added. He said only sterile, distilled or boiled water should be used in neti pots. The illness is extremely rare. About 120 US cases, almost all of them deaths, have been reported since the amoeba was identified in the early 1960s, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. About three deaths are reported each year on average; last year there were four. There are no signs that cases are increasing, said Jonathan Joder, who coordinates surveillance of waterborne diseases for the CDC. The amoeba - Naeglaria fowleri - gets up the nose, burrows up into the scull and destroys brain tissue. It's found in warm lakes and rivers during the hot summer months, mostly in the South. It's a medical mystery why some people who swim in amoeba-containing water get the fatal nervous system condition while many others don't, experts say. The cases that do occur tend to be tragic and there's only been one report of successful treatment. "It's very difficult to treat; most people die from it," Ratard said.
Commentary: Since health officials have stated that this is a very rare disease, I find it especially interesting that three cases have popped up suddenly only since June of this year. Commentary: This major quake hit very near the surface this time. Since the tsunami earlier this year, Honshu, Japan is rocking and reeling with major earthquakes on a regular basis. Generally they are much deeper, but this one must have really jolted Japan today.
