AP (excerpts): Kabul, Afghanistan - A military helicopter was shot down in eastern Afghanistan, killing 31 US special operation troops, most of them from the elite Navy SEALS unit that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, along with seven Afghan commandos. It was the deadliest single incident for American forces in the decade-long war. The Taliban claimed they downed the helicopter with rocket fire while it was taking part in a raid on a house where insurgents were gathered in the province of Wardak late Friday. It said wreckage of the craft was strewn at the scene. A senior US administration official in Washington said the craft was apparently shot down by insurgents. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the crash is still being investigated. NATO confirmed the overnight crash took place and that there "was enemy activity in the area," but it said it was still investigating the cause and conducting a recovery operation at the site. It did not release details or casualty figures. "We are in the process of accessing the facts," said US Air Force Captain Justin Brockhoff, a NATO spokesman. Once current and one former US official said that the dead included more than 20 Navy SEALS from SEAL Team 6, the unit that carried out the raid in Pakistan in May that killed bin Laden. They were being flown by a crew of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because families are still being notified. None of those killed in the crash is believed to have been part of the SEALs mission that killed bin Laden, but they were from the same unit as the bin Laden team. President Barack Obama said in a statement that the crash serves as a reminder of the "extraordinary sacrifices" being made by the US military and its families. The death toll would surpass the worst single day loss of life for the US-lead coalition in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001 - the June 28, 2005 downing of a military helicopter in eastern Kunar province. In that incident, 16 Navy SEALs and Army special operations troops were killed when their craft was shot down, while on a mission to rescue four SEALs under attack by the Taliban. Three of the SEALs being rescued were also killed and the fourth wounded. It was the highest one-day death toll for the Navy Special Warfare personnel since World War II. With its steep mountain ranges, providing shelter for militants armed with rocket-propelled grenade launchers, eastern Afghanistan is hazardous terrain for military aircraft. Large, slow-moving transport carriers like the CH-47 Chinook are particularly vulnerable, often forced to ease their way through sheer valleys where insurgents can achieve more level lines of fire from mountainsides. The helicopter was a twin-rotor Chinook, said an official at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The official who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he was receiving his information from an Afghan officer in Kabul. The crash took place in the Sayd Abad district of Wardak providence, said a provincial government spokesman. The volatile region borders the province of Kabul where the Afghan capital is located and is known for its strong Taliban presence. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that Taliban fighters downed the helicopter during a heavy raid in Sayd Abad. He said NATO attacked a house in Sayd Abad where insurgent fighters were gathering Friday night. During the battle, the fighters shot down the helicopter, killing 31 Americans and seven Afghans, he said, adding that eight insurgents were killed in the fight. There have been at least 17 coalition and Afghan aircraft crashes in Afghanistan this year. Most of the crashes were attributed to pilot errors, weather conditions or mechanical failures. However, the coalition has confirmed that at least one CH-47F Chinook helicopter was hit by a rocket propelled grenade on July 25. Two coalition crew members were injured in that attack. With casualties from the helicopter crash, the deaths bring to 365 the number of coalition troops killed this year in Afghanistan and 42 this month.
Commentary: These Navy Seals were sabotaged, no doubt about it! As recently as May, when Navy SEALs killed bin Laden, US officials were questioning whether or not the Afghan government had knowledge of bin Laden's whereabouts all along, before our military intelligence forces "found him." If our officials do not trust the Afghan government, why are our Navy SEALs running around the dangerous territories with Afghan commandos in a helicopter, who are also just as likely to betray our troops, especially the SEALS who killed bin Laden? Any way you look at it, I say sabotage! Is Obama so careless with his own security? I think not! I noticed that during President Obama's speech, it appeared that he was literally trying hard not to smile. Our young men keep dying over there, but the troops have not been returned home, as Barack Obama promised during his campaign - another low as you can get, lying politician! Not only that, one who, I believe, is very capable of betraying our troops! Now remember, Obama will NOT allow his administration, or any US government official, to say the words "Muslim terrorist!" How about this, Barack Obama, "Muslim terrorist, Muslim terrorist, Muslim terrorist!!" He is on the wrong side of this war - and we have no business being there in the first place! You need only place your own son or daughter in that helicopter to understand where I am coming from. What are we actually accomplishing there anyway? Nothing, except losing precious lives! Why would he even allow the same Navy SEAL Team who killed bin Laden to be there? Hadn't they risked their lives enough already? It was absolutely callous to allow them to stay in Afghanistan. Of course they were targets! I'm sure it doesn't matter to the Taliban whether they were the same men or not, same men - same team, one is just as good as the other to them. They know it will devastate this team, this nation either way! Does Barack Obama care? No, he actually has much more to be concerned about, like making sure no one says, "Muslim terrorist, Muslim terrorist - Muslim terrorist!" One of the reasons that whatever we are doing there must be futile, is that while our young men are coming home in boxes, he has openly stated he wants to talk with and strengthen ties with the Muslim Brotherhood! He isn't so stupid that he doesn't know the Muslim Brotherhood funds terrorists, like the ones who are killing our troops! Am I blatant, yes I am, absolutely! Jesus was blatant when he called the religious leaders of His day, who were also the political leaders, "vipers" (Matthew 12:34), "children of the devil" (John 8:44), and "white-washed sepulchres" (Matthew 23:27); and John the Baptist also referred to them as "vipers," Matthew 3:7. As Christians, we can't be "politically correct" and beat around the bush and spare everyone's feelings - type of people. We must call it what it is.

Elenin's nucleus could resemble that of Comet Hartley 2 seen here by NASA's Deep Impact mission.
A recently discovered comet named Elenin is racing toward our home planet. It is not an asteroid and there has been no prediction it will hit the Earth, but it is expected to be at its closest point to us during the culmination of God's annual holy days mentioned in the Bible, the Feast of Trumpets; which many Bible theologians have believed would correlate with the coming of Lord. This has sparked a wave of speculation that it could be a miraculous sign possibly heralding the anticipated return of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to Earth. A Russian astonomer, Leonid Elenin, discovered the comet in the United States on December 10, 2010, at the International Scientific Optical Network's robotic observatory near Mayhill, New Hampshire. Many are wondering what type affect it will have in the Earth's atmosphere. People speculate whether it may even hit Earth, but more scrutiny is given to the possibility of a strong magnetic pull, resulting in a shift of the Earth's axis, causing catastrophic earthquakes, tsunamis, and possibly a number of other cataclysmic disasters. It has been estimated that the comet will come to its closest proximity to Earth on October 16, 2011, during the Feast of Tabernacles, according to today's Jewish calendar. When the apostles asked Jesus what the signs of His return would be, He said, "There will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences, and there will be fearful sights and great signs in heaven" Luke 21:11. Hypothetically, this comet could cause major activity, such as an ecliptic "blood moon" and other wondrous or fearful signs in heaven, as Jesus mentioned in the Gospels. The prophet Joel said, "The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes" Joel 2:31. Jesus said, "The stars of heaven will fall and the powers in heaven will be shaken and then they will see the Son of man (Jesus) coming in the clouds with great power and glory" Mark 13:25-26. David Morrison, a planetary astronomer at NASA's Ames Research Center and senior scientist at the NASA Astrobiology Institute states emphatically that the comet does not have the magnetic pull to cause any such celestial or severe earthquake activity. Another astronomer, Colin Johnston, said Elenin will definitely not hit earth, nor will it have any affect on the Earth's atmosphere. Then there are theorists on the internet who allege NASA is trying to "cover-up" to stem fear and panic.
Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Washington, noted a coming rare phenomenon of four consecutive total lunar eclipses, known as tetrad, and often called "blood moons" since the moon often takes on a bloody color. He says that during this century, tetrads occur at least six times, but what's interesting is that the only string of consecutive blood moons that coincide with God's holy days of Passover and the spring and autumn Feast of Tabernacles (also called Succoth) occurs between 2014 and 2015 on today's Gregorian calendar. "The fact that it doesn't happen again in this century I think is very significant," Blitz explained. "So then I looked at last century and, believe it or not, the last time that four blood red moons occurred together was in 1967 and 1968, tied to Jerusalem being recaptured by Israel!" Then he started to notice a pattern of the tetrads. "What is significant to me is that even before 1967, the next time that you had four blood moons again was right after Israel became a nation in 1948; it happened again in 1949 and 1950 ... on Passover and Succoth. You didn't have any astronomical tetrads in the 1800s, the 1700s or the 1600s. In the 1950s, there were six, but none of those fell on Passover or Succoth." When checking the schedule for solar eclipses, Biltz found two - one on the first day of the Hebrew year and the next on the high holy day of Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the seventh Hebrew month. Both of these take place in the 2014-2015 year. Biltz says "You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse, two weeks later a total lunar eclipse on Passover and then the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse, followed two weeks later by another total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth, all in 2015." In February of last year, the astronomical community was dazzled with a spectacular unknown object that some felt could be a sign from God, as they said it resembled a flying cross or a Star of David. "The truth is, we are still struggling to understand what this means," comet expert David Jewett at UCLA told Britain's Daily Mail. "It's most likely the result of a recent collision between two asteroids."

Commentary: The Hebrew word for feasts is moadim, which literally means "appointed times." God commanded the Jews to observe feasts during specific time periods throughout the year, Leviticus 23. God actually provides a prophetic picture of His entire plan for His creation through observance of the Holy Feasts, which correlate perfectly with God's plan of redemption for sinful man through His Son, Jesus. The first four spring feasts were fulfilled literally right on the actual feast day in correlation with Jesus's first coming, death and resurrection. The fall feasts, it is believed by many, will likewise be fulfilled in correlation with the return of Jesus.
I have summarized each of the Holy Feast days and their correlation to Jesus, our Messiah:
Passover (Leviticus 23:5): God commanded the Jews to sacrifice a pure lamb during their captivity in Egypt on the night before the Lord would go throughout all Egypt and kill every firstborn. The Jews were instructed to place the blood of the pure lamb on the door posts, and God told Moses that as He went throughout Egypt killing all of the firstborn, He would "pass over" their homes and not slay their firstborn when He saw the blood of the pure lamb on the door posts. After this, they were instructed to observe the Passover every year in the same fashion, in remembrance of God's mercy and their deliverance out of Egypt. This is a type and shadow of Jesus's shed blood for our sins, so we would not be condemned to death. Jesus suffered in our place and paid the penalty for our sins, so we could have eternal life; if we only believe, receive this gift and follow God's commandments through the power of the Holy Ghost, which God provides to each one of us who receive the Lord.
Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6): God commanded the Jews, directly after the Passover, to eat unleavened bread for seven days, and to observe this feast every year after the Passover Feast. The Word of God makes eight references in the New Testament to leaven as signifying sin; one example is 1 Corinthians 5:8. The Feast of Unleavened Bread represents the sinless life of Jesus, our example, and which makes Him the perfect sacrifice (Holy Lamb of God) for our sins
First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10): God commanded the Jews to bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of their harvest to the priest, as an offering, after they arrived in the promised land. This signifies that Jesus is the "firstfruits" of the resurrection of the dead. The Bible tells us that, "Now Christ is risen from the dead and became the firstfruits of those who slept (the dead)" 1 Corinthians 15:20. Jesus was actually resurrected on this very day, which is why Paul referred to Him as the "firstfruits of the dead" in 1 Corinthians 15:20.
Pentecost (Leviticus 23:16): This feast occurred fifty days after the Feast of Unleavened Bread. God told Moses, "...after the seventh sabbath, count fifty days and offer a new meat offering unto the Lord" Leviticus 23:16. This signifies the outpouring of the Holy Ghost and the birth of the church on the actual day of Pentecost (Acts 2), following the offerings of "prayer and supplication" (Acts 1:14), and the apostles' waiting in the upper room for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, as promised by Jesus prior to His ascension into heaven (Acts 1:4-5).
Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24): This is the first of the fall feasts. God commanded Moses that this would be a holy gathering and blowing of trumpets on the sabbath of the first day of the seventh month. The Bible often signifies the "catching up" of the church, otherwise referred to as the rapture (taken from the Greek translation of the Bible, harpazo, meaning rapture), by the sounding of a trumpet: "He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to another" Matthew 24:31-. "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will forever be with the Lord" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:27): God told Moses to gather the Jews for this holy feast day to observe a sabbath, do no work, rest, and offer up a burnt offering to the Lord in observance of the atoning blood of the sacrifice for their sins. This feast points to the return of Jesus, who is the propitiation and atonement for our sins. We will rest and reign with our Lord after His return to set up His kingdom on earth for one thousand years, and we will continue to offer sacrifices of praise to the Lord for His atoning blood.
Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:34): The Lord told Moses to have the Jews prepare the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days. He went on to instruct Moses to have the people create and dwell in booths for these seven feast days, in remembrance of the fact that they dwelled in booths when the Lord delivered them out of Egypt's bondage. This alludes to the new heavenly bodies our spirits will dwell in after the Lord returns and we are changed (1 Corinthians 15:52). Paul said before his death, "Shortly, I must put off this tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me" 2 Peter 1:14. He spoke here of his earthly body as a tabernacle. He also said, "We know that if our earthly tabernacle is dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" 2 Corinthians 5:1. He spoke here of this earthly body (tabernacle) versus the heavenly body (tabernacle) which is eternal in heaven.

USGS: A major 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Kuril Islands on Thursday, 8/4/11, at 13:51:36 UTC, at a depth of 49 km (30.4 mi).Commentary: "There will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences, and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11. Have you noticed how many islands throughout the world are being hit with major earthquakes, and many, many more that are not quite on the scale of being a "major" (6.0+) earthquake? This is no coincidence. The Bible says, "Heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together and every mountain and were moved out of their places" Revelation 6:14. God gave John visions of things to come before the return of the Lord and John saw every mountain and island "moved." The shaking has begun!

Columbiamissourian.com: Columbia - Thousands of dead fish have surfaced at Corporate Lake due to high heat and lack of rainfall, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation. Water temperatures exceed 90 degrees in the man made lake on Sunday and Monday, Phillip Pitts, Fisheries Management Biologist for the Conservation Department said. Corporate Lake is located off Southhampton Drive, next to John Garry Drive. The restaurant Swan Lakeshore Dining overlooks the lake. These high water temperatures cause low oxygen fish kill, Pitts said, which means there is a depletion of oxygen from the lake and the fish suffocate in large numbers. The majority were sunfish and the rest were common carp, bluegill, crappie, golden shiners and several other species. Pitts said he visited Corporate Lake at about 12:30 pm Monday. "I saw a lake with thousands of fish piping towards the surface," he said. "It's low oxygen related and very common for this time of year."
Commentary: I have placed 22 articles about fish deaths since the beginning of the year, many when there was no heat - temperatures were very cold, then moderate, and now they are getting very hot. The 22 articles I have placed on this blog aren't even a tip of the ice burg with regard to the mass fish kills since the beginning of the year; I don't even have enough time to list them all. There have been many, many different explanations from oxygen depletion to "fish may have been lost" and went to close to shore! I have placed a map of the mass fish deaths throughout the world in one of these articles and the globe is full of fish deaths, with record numbers unheard of before. The experts may not know the Word of God, but I do, and God's Word tells us that these things will happen before the Lord returns, "The land will mourn and everyone that dwells in it will languish, with the beasts of the field, the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:3.

LiveScience.com (excerpts): A drought has left the OC Fisher Reservoir in San Angelo State Park in West Texas almost entirely dry. The water that is left is stagnant, full of dead fish - and a deep opaque red. The color has some apocalypse believers suggesting that OC Fisher is an early sign of the end of the world, but Texas Parks and Wildlife Inland Fisheries officials say the bloody look is the result of Chromatiaceae bacteria, which thrive on oxygen deprived water. "It's just heartbreaking," said Charles Cruz, a fish and wildlife technician with Texas Parks and Wildlife in San Angelo, TX. Texas is experiencing major drought this summer, with 75% of the state's area in an "exceptional" drought, the highest level, according to the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC). The state had hoped for some relief from Tropical Storm Don last week, but the system fizzled and brought only an inch or two of rain to areas near the coast. The drought has taken its toll on a number of reservoirs in West Texas, Cruz told LiveScience. OC Fisher has never been completely full, said Cruz, but it was stocked with catfish, bass, sunfish and other popular targets for fishermen. "We surveyed the lake, I believe it was last year, and we had a pretty good fish population out there," Cruz said. "It was pretty sickening going out there, watching lake levels just drop and drop and drop and seeing these nice trophy-sized bass just floating dead." As of last week, all that remained of the lake was a small pond a few feet deep, Cruz said. There were thousands of dead fish, he said, but no sign of life. Pictures of this blood red pool circulated online in fishing forums and caught the notice of Indiana preacher Paul Begley, who said in a YouTube video that the lake might be evidence of the apocalypse as predicted by the Biblical book of Revelation. "The second angel poured out his vial on the sea and became as the blood of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea" Revelation 16:3, the passage Begley cited reads. "The third angel poured out his vial on the rivers and fountains of water and they became blood" Revelation 16:4. Begley may not have any more luck at predicting the end of the world than Harold Camping, the radio preacher who set the date for May 21, 2011. For as long as the drought persists, the OC Fisher reservoir is a reservoir no longer. "I don't know what's left in there now. We haven't been back," Cruz said. "I would guess its probably pretty much gone already." Commentary: The scriptures often refer to the moon turning to blood, but the ancient scholars knew the reference was to a lunar eclipse, not literally a bloody moon. It is irrelevant that bacteria is turning the water red, the fact of the matter is the fish have died and the reservoir is the color of blood - the color is the point, not how it got that way. It would be good if these science journalists take a little course in Bible theology before they spout off their opinions about the Word of God. Yes, Harold Camping is a false prophet and a reproach, unfortunately, but Jesus also warned of false prophets in the last days too (Matthew 24). As Jesus spoke of the signs before His return, he warned of false prophets, "Many false prophets will rise and deceive many" Matthew 24:11. Another point here is that not only did the water turn red, but the fish deaths throughout the world today are unprecedented. If you click on the Tag to the right of this page "Fish Deaths," you will be taken to "umpteen" articles about fish deaths throughout the world since the beginning of the year. Any way you want to look at it, only a skeptic and unbeliever would scoff at what is happening in the world now and how it correlates with Bible prophecy. All of the signs Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 are happening right before our eyes. The Old Testament minor prophets also spoke of these fish deaths before the return of the Lord: "The land will mourn and everyone that dwells in it will languish, with the beasts of the field, the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away" Hosea 4:3. "I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of heaven and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; I will cut off man from the land, saith the Lord" Zephaniah 1:3. Christians do not have to worry about the wrath of God falling on a perverse world. The Word of God tells us that His children are not appointed to wrath: "For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" 1 Thessalonians 5:9. Yousef Nadarkhani and family I am going to post an article issued by Fox News on July 15, 2011, because it is of vital importance that the truth come out.
Fox News 7/15/11 (excerpts): Iran's Supreme Court says an evangelical pastor charged with apostasy can be executed if he does not recant his faith, according to a copy of the verdict obtained by a religious rights activist group. Christian Solidarity Worldwide says Iranian born Yousef Nadarkhani, who was arrested on October 13, 2009, and given the death sentence late last year, could have his sentence suspended on the grounds that he renounce his faith.
CSW.org.uk 7/13/11 (excerpts): Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, a leader in the evangelical Church of Iran denomination, was arrested in his home city of Rasht on October 13, 2009, while attempting to register his church. His arrest is thought to have come after he questioned the Muslim monopoly on religious instruction for Iranian children. He was initially charged with protesting, however the charges against him were later changed to apostasy and evangelizing Muslims.
The Supreme Court has asked the court in Rasht to reexamine a few procedural flaws in the case, but has ultimately given local judges a free hand to decide whether to release, execute or retry Mr. Nadarkhani in October. Since the court in Rasht had based its original verdict by fatwas by such important religious figures as Ayatollahs Khomeini, the father of Iran's revolution in 1979, Khomeini, the supreme leader of Iran, and Makarem Shirazi, currently the most influential religious leader in Iran, the Supreme Court may have been reluctant to overturn the verdict for fear of inviting controversy, even though THERE IS NO DEATH SENTENCE FOR APOSTASY IN IRANIAN CIVIL LAW. The decision also contradicts article 23 of the Iranian constitution which states that no one should be molested or taken to task simply for holding a certain belief.
The death sentence for the charge of apostasy is not codified in Iranian law. The ruling has deeply worrying implications for all Christians in Iran, and is yet another indicator of the regime's disregard for basic human rights and freedoms. Of particular concern is the fact that the Iranian regime often enacts death sentences without advance notice to prisoners' families, lawyers, or even the prisoners themselves. Consequently, the international community must urgently apply pressure on the Iranian regime to rescind this unjust decision. Commentary: I believe a key word in this article is "fear." Even the Supreme Court of Iran will not overturn a verdict handed down by a lower court in Rasht because of the devout Muslims in the nation that might even kill them, if they do go against the verdict. Obviously, the article 23 law is only applied to protect Muslims, definitely not Christians, since they are persecuted on a regular basis in Iran. It is difficult to know how many Christians have been killed in Iran already for "apostasy" or "blasphemy," as Muslims interpret these terms. What blows me away is how our nation is a member of a Muslim-dominated United Nations who extends the "right hand of fellowship" to Mahmoud Ahmadinajad, the President of Iran. There is no question to him whatsoever about the religious persecution going on in his country; no question to him about the crimes against humanity in his country, while people are literally being tortured for being Christians in that nation. In fact, we should not only not be a member nation of the UN, while they turn and look the other way and welcome Iran and say nothing about the atrocities there (no doubt, because about one-third of the other member nations do the same things, torture women and Christians)! We should have NO dealings with such people at all. Not only does our nation "rub elbows" with these devilish fiends who commit such crimes, but we are, with open arms, inviting the same criminals into the United States to commit their acts of crimes against humanity here as well! When will the madness stop; when will our nation stop looking the other way and address their atrocities against other human beings? "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people" Proverbs 14:34. "Woe to them who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20. "The time will come when they will not be able to endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" 2 Timothy 4:3. "Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth" 2 Timothy 3:7.

USGS: A major 6.2 earthquake hits near the South Coast of Honshu, Japan on Monday, 8/1/11, at 14:58:08, at a depth of 10 km (6.2 mi).
Commentary: There have been five major (6.0+) earthquakes within the last five days. The are coming in record numbers. "There will be great earthquakes in various places (you are seeing this now), and famines and pestilences, and and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

USGS: A major 6.8 earthquake hit near North Coast of New Guinea PNG on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 23:38:57, at a depth of 16.8 km (10.4 mi).Commentary: The major earthquakes continue a record breaking numbers. "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. The coming of the Lord is nearer yet. USGS: A major 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Vanuatu region on Sunday, 7/31/11, at 14:34:50 UTC, at a depth of 23.1 km (14.4 mi). Commentary: "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. Jesus told this to his disciples, when the asked Him what would be the signs of His return. These things are happening before our eyes right now. According to the scriptures, the church of God will be raptured, caught up from the world to meet the Lord in heaven before His return, so that makes the rapture even closer. "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and we will forever be with the Lord" 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Hillary and towel-headed terrorist friends
Israel Today (excerpts): There are two pillars that continue to hold aloft terrorist activity as an attractive proposition for Palestinian Arabs, and to keep the practice of murdering Jews a mainstream affair. The first is the cultural glorification of Palestinians who have murdered Jews, or who have died trying. This is especially prevalent among Palestinian children who are used to having their schools, soccer teams and summer camps named after such "heroes." Second is the knowledge that if one survives carrying out a terrorist attack, there will be few, if any, serious consequences, and many rewards. The most obvious reward is that the killer, or would-be killer, will be held as a champion of his or her people. Perhaps even more compelling, at least for some, is that the terrorist and his or her family will suddenly come into what amounts to a financial windfall in this region. The maintenance of these two pillars of the Palestinian terrorism industry is made possible in large part by American taxpayers. On Tuesday, Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch explained to US Congressional leaders how financial aid from America, Israel's greatest ally, is being cynically used to encourage the slaughter of Israeli Jews. Marcus first outlined what most should know by now - that the Palestinian Authority spends a huge amount of money honoring terrorists in the most public fashion. He also highlighted for the lawmakers a fact that most media outlets choose to ignore - that the Palestinian authority pays a generous monthly salary to nearly all of the Palestinian terrorists sitting in Israeli jails and provides many of their families with financial support. All of these activities - the glorification of terror and the financial backing of the terrorists themselves are funded by the PA's general budget. All of this costs a lot of money, especially paying the salary of terrorist prisoners, which comes to 5.2 million every month! As such, these expenses are heavily dependent on incoming foreign aid. The Palestinian Authority roughly receives 1.5 billion in foreign aid every year. The US contributes about $200 - $300 million in direct budget assistance, and another $400 million in other forms of assistance and investment. Marcus reminded his Congressional hosts that it is a violation of US federal law to provide financial assistance to a terrorist or terror-supporting entity; but Marcus was largely "preaching to the choir." A week earlier, Congressional leaders had put forward a bill that would end US financial aid to Pakistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, and the Palestinian Authority unless they met a list of stringent requirements. In the case of Lebanon, Congress insists that the terrorist militia Hizballah cannot hold positions of political power. Hizballah currently dominates the Lebanese cabinet! As far as the Palestinians are concerned, Congress wants them to immediately cease all of the nefarious activities Marcus outlined. Fully aware that these nations are never going to meet these conditions - in other words, are never going to stop supporting terrorism - US State Secretary Hillary Clinton lashed out at Congress. "The new bill would be debilitating to my efforts to carry out a considered foreign policy and diplomacy, and to use foreign assistance strategically to that end," Clinton wrote in a letter to Congressional leaders. Years ago, when she was a humble Senator from New York, Clinton stood beside Marcus as he presented a worrying analysis of the anti-Jewish Palestinian school curriculum. Clinton staunchly supported Marcus and demanded reform in the Palestinian education system. It would seem she no longer holds those convictions.
Commentary: "Clinton no longer holds those convictions." That is correct. In fact, if you will notice. Anyone who gets close enough to the White House administration or Barack Hussein Obama, will bow down, kiss the feet and lay down for the PA to walk right over them, yes, stepping and crunching them right into the ground! What a goon she has turned out to be, the closer she gets to Obama! My first question here is, What do we have to do with Palestinians and their terrorist causes anyway? Why are we sending hundreds of millions of dollars to these terrorists, while our nation is bankrupt and Barack Hussein Obama consistently threatens to cut Social Security and Medicaid from our elderly and poor, if he doesn't get the blank check he wants to support his terrorist friends?!! This is insanity! "Meet a list of stringent requirements?" This is ludicrous! Of course they are going to act as though they would meet any list of "stringent" requirements necessary to get our money; how stupid! Terrorists don't tell the truth, and those who aid terrorists don't tell the truth either!
As I was typing this article, before I finished, I scooted over to another window and brought up the home page of my Congressman. I sent him an email asking that he not support the Palestinian Authority, which supports terrorists against Israel and our own nation! I explained that a very secondary reason is that our nation should not support any Middle Eastern political cause because our own nation is bankrupt. If enough US citizens go to the home page of their Congressman and write an email, they may listen. Please don't wait; let your voice be heard today. If you don't know who your Congressman is, just write "who is my Congressman" into your search engine and you can select a government website that will allow you to put in your city, state, and zip code to locate your Congressman's home page. Every Congressman allows you the opportunity to send him/her an email from the home page. If bankrupt America gives one dollar to aid anyone, I wonder why we aren't making such efforts to provide food and water to those that are literally dropping dead of thirst and hunger in the dirt roads of the Horn of Africa. Contrarily, I don't see anyone in Gaza or the Middle East dropping dead of hunger. What in the world is wrong with the lame brains that run this nation? I think because many of them have turned away from God, they can't make a wise decision. "It is written, 'I (God) will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent" I Corinthians 1:19. Wisdom comes from God Almighty and without Him, all become foolish.
"The eyes of the Lord search throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. You have been foolish in this manner, therefore, you will have wars from now on" 2 Chronicles 16:9. God was speaking to Israel at the time, but the same rules apply to us today. If we, as a nation, seek God first, with a pure heart, God will intervene and raise up this nation and resolve the problems we have today. The reason this nation, as a whole, is toppling today is because most of the peoples have forgotten God. I'm not worried, nor should any other faithful servant of God worry; because in the midst of the storm, God will protect His own people ("A thousand will fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but danger will not come near to you" Psalm 91:7).
