AP: Chile - Dead fish float at the Nilahue river after the eruption of the Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano in Rininahue, southern Chile, Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The volcano erupted Saturday after remaining dormant for decades, causing the evacuation of about 3,500 people in the nearby area and carrying ash across the Andres to Argentina.
My Comments: It would seem that with millions of fish dying elsewhere on the planet, there is a connection to these volcanic eruptions, frequent earthquakes, fish and birds dying. The Bible says in Acts 2:19, "I will show wonders in heaven above, signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke." With regard to millions of fish and thousands of birds dying, the prophet Hosea wrote in Hosea 4:3, "Therefore the land will mourn and everyone who dwells there will languish, with the beasts of the field, with the fowls of heaven, yes, the fishes of the sea will also be taken away." You can't get much plainer than that. God said he would do these things before the return of the Lord and He doesn't lie.

BBC News (excerpts): Chile - The Puyehue-Cordon-Caulle volcano has been erupting for more than a week. Thousands of people are living in temporary shelters after being evacuated from the area around the volcano. Australian Airline Quantas cancelled 22 flights to New Zealand's South Island and Tasmania on Sunday. It is the first serious eruption of the volcano chain since 1960, when the area was hit by a massive earthquake. You can view a stunning video of this volcano erupting, with lightening flashing around it on the News Videos page. There is also a profound video of the volcanic eruption in Iceland on the same page, with lightning flashing around that one as well. I can see the hand of God in these eruptions.
My Comments: Acts 2:19 says, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke." With the record breaking wildfires in Arizona and Russia, volcanoes erupting, thousands of birds dying, millions of fish dying, killer storms raging, and high velocity earthquakes occurring throughout the world in various areas, we should all be aware that the end of the age and the return of the Lord is near, even at the door. Jesus said in Mark 13:8, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be earthquakes in divers (various) places and there will be famines and troubles; these are the beginnings of sorrows." These are the beginnings of sorrows for the ungodly; yet Jesus said in Luke 21:28, "When you see these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption is near." Those Christians who have accepted Jesus as their Savior and who serve the Lord will not fear, because we know that He will soon return to gather His people. If you haven't received Jesus as your Savior, I invite you to read the How Can I Be Saved page on this website. You need only say a simple sincere prayer to receive Jesus. The Bible says in Acts 2:21, "It will come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

BBC News: Russia is still fighting to extinguish nearly 600 wildfires in an emergency that has now claimed 50 lives.
Foreign reinforcements are arriving, including two Canadair water-bombing planes from Italy. Ukraine and Belarus are also sending firefighters. The defense ministry has ordered the transfer of all artillery and munitions from a military base near the capital. Seven regions were under a state of emergency. Russian officials say there are now 589 wildfires raging across 196,000 ha (484,326 acres). More than 160,000 firefighters have been deployed. Col. Alexei Kuznetsov, a defense ministry spokesman, told the Associated Press that a garrison near Naro-Fominsk, 45 miles (70 km) from Moscow, would be evacuated due to the danger posed by fires.
On Wednesday President Dmitry Medvedev sacked several top military officials for failing to stop wildfires from destroying a naval base outside Moscow. He made the announcement after halting his summer holiday to return to Moscow for emergency talks on the wildfires. Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu has meanwhile warned that fires in the Bryansk region - an area affected by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster - could produce radioactive particles. No details are available on the number of animals killed in the wildfires, which have spread amid a record heatwave, with temperatures soaring to nearly 40C (104F).
Forecasters expect Moscow's high temperatures to persist for several more days. Russia has announced it is banning the export of grain from August 15 to December 31 after drought and fires devastated about a fifth of its grain crop. More than 3,500 people have lost their homes in 14 regions of Russia in the past few days.
Commentary: Acts 2:19 says, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke. These catastrophic events are not letting up and, according to God's Holy Word, things will rapidly become worse, as the return of the Lord approaches. AP: Springerville, AZ - An eye stinging, throat burning haze of smoke spewing from a gigantic wildfire in eastern Arizona is beginning to stretch as far east as central New Mexico, prompting health officials to warn residents as far as Albuquerque about potential respiratory hazards. The 672 square mile blaze was no longer just an Arizona problem on Saturday as firefighters moved to counter spot fires sprouting up across the state line and lighting their own fires to beat it back. The forest fire remained largely uncontained and officials warned that the return of gusty southwesterly winds during the afternoon could once again threaten small mountain communities that had been largely saved just a few days ago. Levels of tiny sooty particles from the smoke in eastern Arizona were nearly 20 times the federal health standard on Saturday. The good news was that was down from roughly 40 times higher a day earlier, but it was all at the mercy of the ever-changing winds. "Sunday could get even worse," said Mark Shaffer of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. "Things got better, but they are still bad," Shaffer said Saturday. "The microscopic particles, about 1/28th the width of a human hair, can get lodged in the lungs and cause serious health problems, both immediate and long-term," Shaffer said. "Larger particles you breathe in and you cough and it seems to get rid of it," he said, adding that the tiny particles get "very, very deep into your system and are very difficult to expel." Shaffer said the forecast for Sunday was "pretty scary." More than 30 homes have been destroyed since May 29, thousands of residents have fled communities and the blaze posed a potential danger to two major power lines that bring electricity from Arizona to West Texas, although officials said Saturday they had so far been able to protect the routes. In Greer, a smoky haze clung to fields, graying out the sky, and scattered plumes of smoke rose from the forest where spot fires persist. The fire is the second largest in state history.
My Comments: There is no end in sight yet for the second largest fire in Arizona's history. This, and the fires in Russia, bring this scripture to mind: Acts 2:19, "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke." With birds dropping dead by the thousands, fish dying by the millions, wars and bloodshed throughout the Middle East and parts of Africa, and now record breaking fires; you must know that the coming of the Lord is near, even at the door. The greatest question yet is, are you ready to meet God and face eternity, because that is just around the corner.

Global News: A LOT of mauve stingers, a jellyfish, staked a claim on ten miles of beach and stayed through Memorial Day weekend, finally pulling out of town on Wednesday. The stingers, reddish and small, some no bigger than a golf ball - coated just about every inch of these beaches, sending a steady stream of screeching beachgoers to the lifeguard stations, despite warnings to steer clear. Lifeguards treated 1,800 people for jellyfish stings last week. A few were sent to hospitals after suffering allergic reactions. "It was by far the most jellyfish we have ever seen; you couldn't even walk down the beach without being stung," said Jeff Scabarozi, 30, the ocean rescue chief here. "People came out screaming and hollering that they had been stung. We hadn't seen these jellyfish ever. We had to Google it." There might have been millions. Biologists say the tiny creature could pop up in sporadic pulses for weeks, even as long as a year, depending on how long conditions favor its spread. "We don't fully understand the factors that drive these long sort of decade-scale fluctuations in these animals," said Monty Graham, senior marine scientist at Dauphin Island Sea Lab in Alabama. "There are going to be so many of them that they are not going to be kept in check by fish or sea turtles," Graham said.
My Comments: More animals are attacking people here and this type of jellyfish has not been seen before. They can Google it, but the real truth lies in the Word of God. * See the preceding article about the elephant rampage in India for more information.

CNN: Rescue workers in India continued to search for more than 500 people missing after flash floods and landslides struck a northern town, state run media reported Sunday. The death toll from the devastation has risen to 145, according to the official Press Trust of India. The landslides were triggered late last week after a massive rainfall took sleeping residents by surprise - snapping powerlines, flattening villages and upending vehicles. Rescuers were slogging through knee-deep mud as they searched for the missing in the City of Leh, the news agency reported. The town is about 300 miles from Shrinagar. About 6,000 soldiers were deployed in the relief efforts, Indian army Lt. Col. J.S. Brar said. Helicopters have also been called in as damaged roads made it difficult to reach the affected areas.
My Comments: Just yesterday, elephants rampaged Mysore, India, killing a number of people. Now they are suffering deadly flash floods and mudslides. People in India are predominantly Hindu (about 80%) and about 13% are Muslims, then various other religions. The Hindus worship many Gods and they worship some animals. There is a temple in Deshnoke, India, to the "rat goddess," where people dine with thousands of rats in the temple. The Hindus believe that people are reincarnated until all become "one with the universe." Is God angry with these people? The Word of God says He is: Romans 1:18-25 "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which can be known of God is manifest in them; for God showed it to them. The invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so they are without excuse. When they knew God, they glorified Him not as God; neither were they thankful, but became vain in their imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man and birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things. Therefore, God gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves, who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen" The chapter goes on to explain how God gives them over to a reprobate mind and vile affections. Of course, these are not exempt from the wrath of God. I look at the devastating photos above above and I silently ask these suffering people, "Do you really want to worship rats instead of the one and only true God of heaven and earth, the creator of all things?" Still, I pray for them, that they will open their hearts to God and cry out to Him for mercy. If they do, He will hear and save, "It will come to pass, that whoever will call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Acts 2:21.

The Scottsman (excerpts): A local cameraman captured incredible footage of elephants going on a rampage through Mysore, India. The video shows the elephants tearing through the streets in southern India, as locals flee for cover. A security guard was gored to death near a local market. The victim was identified as Renuka Prasad, 55. The elephants, from a nearby forest, are thought to have accidentally stumbled across the city early yesterday morning. Panic quickly spread in Mysore, as the elephants' aggression grew. One eyewitness said the elephants entered the city and started stomping over everything that came in their path. One of them entered a marketplace and crushed a man to death within minutes and a cow was attacked and gored in the street. Forest officials managed to tranquilize one of the elephants and another was trapped on a nearby farm. Two other elephants are reportedly at large on the outskirts of Mysore. All schools and colleges in the area were shut and people were advised to stay indoors. A spokesperson for the local forest authority blamed encroaching human settlements for causing the situation. Other animals have entered residential areas and caused casualties too and it will continue, if something isn't done. (This video was just too graphic to embed to the website and I was not able to continue watching it after I started viewing it myself.)
My Comments: Revelation 6:8 says, "I looked and beheld a pale horse and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him, and power was given unto them over a fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword and with hunger and with death and with the beasts of the earth." This is a vision given to John concerning the last days and the beginning of the tribulation period. As we move closer to the return of the Lord, these types of events will increase with more frequency. God is beginning to pour out judgment throughout the earth and it is time to pray, witness and be ready His return at all times; tomorrow could be too late.

AFP: Russia - Wildfires in Russia in 2011 are three times more extensive than during the same period last year, when the country was scorched by its worst summer blazes of the modern era, a ministry said Tuesday. Fires in Russia have destroyed some 618,000 hectares (~1.5 million acres) so far this year, an area much greater than the 215,000 hectares destroyed last year, with the increases especially impacting Siberia, the emergency ministry said. On Tuesday, fires ravaged the Krasnoyarsk region, leaving about 20,000 people without electricity in the town of Kodinsk and the surrounding areas, which include the construction site of the Boguchany dam, one of the country's largest infrastructure projects. The district has declared a state of emergency, the regional emergency ministry department said. Russia endured the worst heatwave in its recorded history last year. A record drought wiped out the harvest and wildfires spread out of control, killing dozens, burning down thousands of homes and threatening military and nuclear installations. The 2010 fires left Moscow shrouded in smoke for several weeks, forcing people to leave the capital in droves and causing mortality rates in the city to double. In April, President Dmitry Medvedev warned Russian officials they would be sent to personally douse the blazes if they failed to prevent fires this year.
My Comments: Acts 2:19 "I will show wonders in heaven above, signs in the earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor of smoke." Revelation 16:8 "And the fourth angel poured out his vial on the sun and power was given to him to scorch men with fire." We haven't even really entered into what is considered to be the actual "tribulation period" yet. Jesus said, "There will be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever will be" Matthew 24:21. This means we haven't seen anything yet. The Word of God says that He "is a consuming fire" Hebrews 12:29. Many people who do believe in God think that He is not capable of wrath, but the Word of God tells us an entirely different truth, which the world doesn't want to hear. God is serious; He means business; He is God. In fact, the Bible tells us that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom..." Psalm 111:10. You might say, "If God is good and kind, why should I fear Him?" God is the epitome of love, but He is also holy and He abhors sin and He will severely punish those who refuse to accept the remission of sin paid for by His only Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Jesus died a brutal death on the cross to pay for your sins and mine. Anyone who rejects that payment, will pay the ultimate price. The good news is, those of us who have received Jesus as our Savior will enter into everlasting life with Him. He will also protect us from His wrath, "...wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come" I Thessalonians 1:10. If you have received Jesus, you have nothing to fear.

The Christian Post: Arizona's Wallow Fire, the third largest wildfire in the state's history, is still out of control as of Tuesday. In less than two weeks, the fire had burned over 230,000 acres of land in eastern Arizona. Fanned by high heat and strong winds, the Wallow Fire has thwarted efforts by firefighters to contain it. It was still 0 percent contained as of late Monday evening. "We had a hard day today," said Joe Reinarz, an incident commander, during a town hall meeting in the small town of Greer on Monday, according to CNN. "I don't know exactly where that fire is at this moment, because it is moving so fast." Winds up to 35 mph were predicted for Tuesday in the area where the wildfires are raging. Besides the Wallow Fire, there are two other smaller wildfires in Arizona, the Horseshow Two fire and the Murphy fire, which have burned over 50,000 acres since they began on May 30th. The Wallow Fire started as a small fire on May 29th, fueled by dry brush and strong winds. The Apache County Sheriff's Department is investigating what started the fire, but fire officials suspect that an unattended campfire may be behind the raging blaze, according to the Arizona Republic. On Wednesday night, the Wallow Fire began its growth spurt from 6,000 to over 40,000 acres, and by Sunday it expanded to 144,000 acres of land. The latest figure is the Wallow Fire has scorched 233,552 acres.
My Comments: Troublesome times are here and earth's tribulation is ongoing - nonstop. We need to stay in prayer daily, asking God for mercy and protection, because these are turbulent times we are living in. It seems the wrath of God is being poured out on the whole earth, which is predominantly Godless, and it is said to get a lot worse, according to the Word of God. I have discovered that a lot of people really don't want to hear about these warnings. I can't help that. I am called by God to warn the nations over this website and, until God calls me home, I will continue to "sound the alarm." The last days are here. Many who detest what I am writing about these days will want to ask me at judgment why I didn't physically shake them, slap them awake, or something like that, but it will be too late then. I'm doing my best to warn as many as will listen, "The Spirit and the Bride say, Come; let him who hears say, Come; let him who is thirsty come and whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely" Revelation 22:17. "Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he who comes to me will never hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst" John 6:35. These are the words of life, everlasting life; will you receive them?

USGS: A 6.0 quake shook southern Peru on Wednesday June 8 at 3:06 UTC, 101.3 km in depth. It was felt as far away as Lima.
My Comments: Earthquakes of this magnitude have generally, in the past, been infrequent. However, earthquakes of this magnitude and greater are becoming more and more frequent, and we are going to see many more, according to the Word of God: "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. "Great earthquakes shall be in various places and famines, pestilences, and fearful sights and great signs will be in heaven" Luke 21:11. "The earth will reel to and fro like a drunkard and will be removed like a cottage, and transgression will be heavy upon it, and it will fall and not rise again" Isaiah 24:20.
