(Excerpt from Kim Kaplan's article of 4/30/11) Examiner.com: Our economy took a nose-dive in the first quarter of this year. Consumers held on to their money this past quarter as higher fuel prices, a continued anemic housing market and sinking consumer confidence sent economic activity to the lowest level in the past three years. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke claims the downturn is a temporary setback, promising that when gas prices stabilize the economy will grow at a 3% pace in each of the next three quarters. Exactly what does stabilize mean? Is Mr. Bernanke saying that we'll become accustomed to $4.00/gallon gas and return to spending? Is the air so rarified up on Mount Federal Reserve that he doesn't understand when it costs $100.00 to fill your tank, the average person simply doesn't have as much left over to buy TVs, cars and houses? Gas prices are still going up and if the stabilization he's hoping for settles in at $5.00/gallon, there's nothing an optimistic attitude at the Fed can do to replace the lost dollars in our wallets. Everything we purchase gets to the store shelves by vehicles fueled by petroleum products; so not only does the cost of filling our tanks skyrocket, but so does the cost of a head of lettuce and a loaf of bread. Builders reduced project spending by 4.1% this past quarter and that represents jobs; a lot of jobs. The Labor Department says applications for unemployment benefits jumped 25,000 to a sensationally adjusted 429,000 for the week ending April 23. Mr. Obama is walking a fine line with the American people. A majority believe the country is headed in the wrong direction. His poor ratings on the economy are only, pardon the pun, trumped by the ratings of Congress. If President Obama is successful in raising the taxes on upper income earners to the levels during the Clinton administration in the midst of a sagging economy, it may very well be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
My Comments: I happened to see a news flash last month, as President Obama was speaking about the unemployment ratings. He said basically, "You business owners need to start hiring people," as if they can just turn to the Federal Reserve Bank's endless bankroll (as Obama does), and just start hiring people. How ridiculous is that? The message behind the statement was apparently that he (Obama) felt he just needed to remind business owners to "get hiring," because they must have forgotten to do that. How pathetic is that for taking care of the unemployment rate? Jesus said in Mark 13:8, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, there will be earthquakes in various places and there will be famines and troubles; these are the beginning of sorrows." He also said in Mark 13:29, "When you see these things come to pass, know that it is near (His return), even at the doors." It is not a time for Christians to fear, only the ungodly. It is a time for us to "Look up, our redemption draws near" Luke 21:28.

6/3/11, USGS: A 6.4 earthquake hit off the east coast of Honshu 10 km deep, Japan at 5:04 UTC. It is unknown yet whether a tsunami warning will be issued. This is the same area which suffered the devastating 9 earthquake in March this year, hitting 32 km deep.
My Comments: The reports are consistently pouring in, day after day, of devastating storms and earthquakes, as well as other disasters and animal deaths plaguing the nations. According to the scriptures, we are truly living in the last days. It is not a time to be afraid, for those of us who are ready, it is a time to rejoice and "look up, for our redemption draws near." Luke 21:28 "When these things come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near."

TempleInstitute.org: In his recent USA speaking engagement tour (January 2011), Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute revealed to the public for the very first time detailed construction plans for the Chamber of Hewn Stone: the seat of the Great Sanhedrin which is a central component of the Holy Temple complex on the Temple Mount. These plans, drawn up by a top Israeli architectural firm hired by the Temple Institute, take into account the specific requirements of the Sanhedrin assembly hall, known historically as the Chamber of Hewn Stone. At the same time, these plans incorporate modern technological infrastructure necessary to a twenty-first century facility: this includes internet ports, wireless communications systems, computer data storage, elevators, air conditioning and underground parking. All these modern amenities, and many more, have been integrated into the Sanhedrin structure without compromising the integrity of the great assembly's physical or spiritual character.
No land can be prepared, no foundation can be laid, no wall can be erected without a detailed architectural plan first being drawn up, approved by engineers and presented to the appointed site manager. The plans (you can view through this link to the News Video page) fulfill every requirement necessary for the immediate commencement of work on this aspect of the Holy Temple complex. The Sanhedrin Chamber of Hewn Stone is but a single chamber in the northern wall of the Holy Temple. It was chosen as the initial focus of the blueprint project, not because of its architectural significance, per se, but because of its overwhelming spiritual significance to the world. The seventy elders of the Sanhedrin have been vested with the authority of the seventy elders whom G-d commanded Moshe to appoint in the desert:
"Then HaShem said to Moses, 'Assemble for me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the people's elders and officers, and you shall take them to the tent of meeting, and they shall stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there and I will increase the SPIRIT that is upon you and bestow IT upon them. Then they will hear the burden of the people with you so that you need not bear it alone.'" Numbers 11:16-17
These elders are not only judges, but also teachers whose task it is to ensure that "For out of Zion shall the Torah come forth and the Word of HaShem from Jerusalem." Isaiah 2:3 This being said, it should also be noted that the Chamber of Hewn Stone sits in close proximity to the Ark of the Covenant, from which the sages draw Divine inspiration.

My Comments: According to Bible prophecy, the third Holy Temple will be built, and as the prophetic time-clock brings us closer to the tribulation period, the Holy Temple also will soon be built, II Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God (speaking of the Antichrist) or that is worshiped, so that he, as God, sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." This will occur in the middle of the seven-year tribulation, so the Holy Temple will have had to have been built by that time. We are getting very close to the very last days before the return of Yeshua and these blueprints for the Holy Temple are another vital piece of the end times prophetic puzzle!

Associated Press: London - Scientists on Thursday blamed Europe's worst recorded food-poisoning outbreak on a "super-toxic" strain of E. coli bacteria that may be brand new. While suspicion has fallen on raw tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce as the source of the germ, researchers have been unable to pinpoint the food responsible for the frightening illness, which has killed at least 18 people, sickened more than 1,600 and spread to at least 10 European countries. An alarmingly large number of victims - about 500 - have developed kidney complications that can be deadly. Chinese and German scientists analyzed the DNA of the E. coli bacteria and determined that the outbreak was caused by "an entirely new super-toxic" strain that contains several antibiotic resistant genes, according to a statement Shenzhen, China-based laboratory BGI. It said the strain appeared to be a combination of two types of E. coli. "This is a unique strain that has never been isolated from patients before," Hilde Kruse, a food safety expert at the World Health Organization, told the Associated Press. The new strain has "various characteristics that make it more virulent and toxin-producing," than the many E. coli strains people naturally carry in their intestines. Some scientists suspect the deadly E. coli might have been in manure used to fertilize vegetables. The outbreak is already considered the third largest involving E. coli in recent world history and it may be the deadliest.
My Comments: More have died since the onset of this outbreak and today it has been reported a super-toxic gene. I'm not surprised that the US experienced an outbreak of measles this year, which had basically been thought to have disappeared in the US, to see super flu strains, as well as the report that 1.8 million people died from AIDS in 2009 (the 2010 report is not available yet). These are just some of what we will see, as prophecy is fulfilled: Luke 21:11 "Great earthquakes will be in various places, famines and pestilences and fearful sights and great signs from heaven." Israel Today: As they have every year for the past 44 years, Israeli Jews on Wednesday marched through the streets of central Jerusalem waiving Israeli flags and celebrating the unification of their ancient capital. The path of the annual parade takes marchers through or near to several Arab-dominated neighborhoods, as it closely follows the partition line that divided Jerusalem from 1948 - 1967. Most years, the parade is a peaceful exercise and the celebrating Jews and local Arabs rarely clash in any significant way. This year was different. With the international community increasingly backing Arab demands regarding the future control of Jerusalem, tensions were high on Wednesday as the estimated 40,000 Israelis made their way toward and through Jerusalem's Old City. Those local Arabs who support eastern Jerusalem becoming the capital of a Palestinian state (not all of them do) saw the Israeli march as a statement that the Jewish state has no intention of meeting Arab demands. At least one local Arab described the march as a "provocation," ignoring the fact that the Jews have been praying for 2,000 years for their return to Jerusalem. While violence was kept to a minimum, thanks to a large police force, there were three injuries as groups of Israeli Jews and Arabs clashed. At least 24 people were arrested. In some areas, Arab counter-demonstrations were joined by leftist Israeli Jews who support surrendering Jerusalem to the Palestinian Authority.
My Comments: President Obama is largely to blame for inciting more uprisings and hostility towards Israel by surrounding Arabs and Muslims throughout the world, as he preempted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's speech before the US Congress on May 24th, and made inflammatory statements such as, "Americans want Israel to return to the 1967 borders," and he termed Israel's West Bank settlements as an "occupation." The US government sends $500 million a year (of bankrupt America's tax dollars) to the Palestinian Authority - bad enough; but now Obama's administration has thumbed their nose in America's face by embracing Hamas, the terrorist organization committed to destroying Israel! Who is Hamas? * They are the ones who praised Osama bin Laden as a hero. * They rebuked the US for eliminating bin Laden. * They are committed to the annihilation of the Jews. * They recently shot a missile into an Israeli school bus. * They are so reviled, even the Palestinian Fatah party kept them at arm's length for four years, but now Fatah and Hamas are united. Come September, the United Nations will actually vote on where to recognize a Palestinian State - Hamas and all! You have to know what spiritual condition the Obama administration and the UN are in when the support terrorists such as these. I sometimes wonder why God doesn't destroy them all; but then I am reminded of how the Lord allowed Pharaoh of Egypt to continue for a time (and because of his sore treatment of the Jews, the Lord Himself even hardened Pharaoh's own heart, until the day of judgment, when they were all drowned). EU Times: Rare killer tornadoes slammed western and central Massachusetts, destroying buildings, flipping vehicles and leaving four dead and dozens injured. At least three tornadoes struck the City of Springfield, Massachusetts alone, with a fourth unconfirmed twister possibly touching down in the city, Mayor Dominic J. Sarno said. Many of those storms also blasted the areas surrounding the city of more than 150,000 residents 90 miles west of Boston, according to ABC News. Governor Deval Patrick declared a state of emergency and mobilized 1,000 National Guard troops. "It is early going yet, so those are not final numbers, although we are hoping and praying and working as hard as possible to keep the fatalities limited to those four," he said. An estimated 55,000 homes were without power, reports Los Angeles Times. Since 1950, Massachusetts has had about two tornadoes a year and there had been more since 2008, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said, informs Detroit Free Press.
My Comments: According to the scriptures, there will be signs in the heavens, earthquakes and seas roaring, Luke 21:25 and Luke 21:11. It is time to pray diligently and make certain we are in the center of God's will. The Bible says, "Blessed are those servants, whom when the Lord comes shall find watching..." Luke 12:37.

According to USGS, a 6.4 earthquake hit just 7 km off shore of Bio-Bio, ten miles deep. I am unable to locate any news on this yet, so I am not aware if a tsunami warning has been issued. I did find one video from a "watcher" on YouTube, which I have planted on the News Video page.
The Bible tells us in numerous places that there will be earthquakes in the last days, here are a few: Matthew 24:7, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom; there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places." Mark 13:8, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and there will be earthquakes in various places and there will be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows." Luke 21:11, "Great earthquakes will be in various places and famines, pestilences and there will be fearful sights and great signs in heaven." It is time to make certain we are saved and in God's perfect will. It is also time to pray for many around us who are not ready for the coming of the Lord.

Associated Press: Berlin - European health officials tracking one of the worst E. coli outbreaks on record might never know where it came from. Its a sad fact of life in food poisoning cases: There is often no smoking gun. Germany's national health agency said Wednesday that more than 1,530 people there had been sickened by a dangerous E. coli germ, including 17 dead, 470 suffering from a kidney failure complication that was previously considered rare. Most patients who have been interviewed said they ate lettuce, tomatoes or cucumbers, but officials testing produce across the continent have yet to find any vegetables with the particular strain involved. Illnesses can occur days after tainted food is eaten and leftovers thrown out, "so the trail gets cold pretty quick," said Bill Marler, a Seattle attorney who specializes in food poisoning cases. "They might never find the cause of the outbreak," said Paul Hunter, professor of health protection at England's University of East Anglia. "In most foodborne outbreaks, we don't know definitively where the contaminated food came from." The outbreak has hit at least nine European countries, but virtually all the sick people either live in Germany, or recently traveled there. Two people who were sickened are now in the US and both had recently traveled to Hamburg, Germany, where many of the infections occurred. The outbreak is already considered the third largest involving E. coli in recent world history, and it may be the deadliest. Twelve people died in a 1996 Japanese outbreak that reportedly sickened more than 12,000, and seven died in a 2000 Canadian outbreak that also made thousands ill. Where the dangerous germ came from is just one of the questions health officials have. Another is why patients are suffering from life-threatening kidney complications in an unusually high percentage of cases. It might mean the strain is particularly virulent, but it's also possible that thousands of less serious cases of food poisoning have gone unreported. People with less severe symptoms may contact health authorities later, or not at all, Kruse said. Kruse said the outbreak is different, in that it affects mainly adults and predominantly women. Some experts say that likely has to do with the diet - women tend to eat more fresh produce. The bacteria being tested is one of the few dangerous types among the hundreds of different E. coli bugs. People and animals carry various E. coli in their intestines, but only a very small percentage are deadly. One of the most notorious was a strain that killed four children in the US in 1993 and was linked to contaminated hamburgers at a fast-food chain. In Germany there are no spot checks of imported food coming from the 25 countries that are part of a zone that lacks internal border patrols. In the US, labs regularly check for dangerous E. coli type in stool samples from people with food poisoning symptoms, but only a small percentage of the labs test for other forms of E. coli that make people sick. In recent years, investigators have found that a wider variety of E. coli bugs are also causing illness.

Examiner.com: 200 dead cows were reported in Wisconsin and 7,000 buffalo and cows were reported dead in Vietnam earlier this year. These reports add more mystery to the dead bird and fish reports since January. The dead cows in Wisconsin were discovered by a farmer, who believed his cows died of a virus. Officials in Vietnam are attributing the buffalo and cow deaths to the freezing winter they experienced. They have seen as many as 700 per day due to the freezing winter.
My Comments: Questions have not been answered regarding the death of the cows, in that it has been said the cows died of pneumonia, but why so many cows dying of pneumonia all at once? Since when did 200 cows all die of pneumonia at the same time? I think 7,000 buffalo and cows dying due to the cold is so far fetched. Since when do these animals die of cold temperatures? They have always survived cold temperatures.
Millions of sea shells have been beaching in Pakistan since last near, but there hasn't been any news coverage. Dolphins have beached there too and even when people tried to place them back into the ocean, they refused to go and beach again. You can see videos regarding this news on the News Video page.

EU Times: At least 100 have been injured after police clashed with demonstrators in Barcelona amid protests against the economic crisis and sky-high jobless rate in Spain. Policeman swiped at protesters with batons, dragged then on the ground, and even fired rubber bullets on them Friday, as they sought to disperse demonstrators and also dismantle their camp in the city's Catalunya square, AFP reported. This is while activists say cleaning the square was only a pretext to violate their democratic rights and have vowed to come back. The situation remains tense and some 200 people are at the square and hundreds in the surroundings. Since mid-May Spain has been witnessing nationwide demonstrations against the government's austerity measures and economic policies. The protesters form part of the M-15 movement, which brought thousands of people to the streets ahead of Sunday's local and regional and regional elections. Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero's ruling socialist party suffered heavy losses in the elections. Massive protests sparked across Spain after the government of Zapatero introduced a slew of drastic austerity measures, including the cutting of civil servant wages as part of its plan to curb the budget deficit from 11 percent a year earlier to within 3 percent of the GDP by 2013. Spain has the highest jobless rate in the eurozone with 21.3 percent and is saddled with a record 4.9 million people unemployed.
My Comments: Spain has been governed by a socialist regime and this is what always happens in such cases. They have a 21.3 jobless rate and 4.9 million people are unemployed. Barack Obama's ideology is socialistic. The Word of God tells us that in the last days "...there shall be distress of nations with perplexity" Luke 21:25. There were riots in Greece in March, with over 60,000 people in the streets protesting against the austerity measures taken by their government and economic failure. There have been 52 documented riots throughout the nations so far in 2011 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_riots). The numbers have climbed drastically over the years. For example, there were 21 riots in 2006, 17 in 2001 and 7 in 2000. Can you see the trend? Do you suppose we are seeing "distress of nations with perplexity?"
