EU Times: A 14-year-old girl from the Republic of Mari El in central Russia has committed suicide, allegedly because she was afraid of the upcoming doomsday predicted by the American Radio preacher Harold Camping. Nastya Zachinova believed the news that the world would end on May 21, her family told the tabloid LifeNews. The once lively teenager became angst and withdrawn. On the Saturday in which the rapture had been predicted to start, she committed suicide after returning home from school. Her personal diary shows she was terrified of the perils of the apocalypse, which she believed humanity was about to endure. "We are not righteous; only the righteous will go to heaven and we'll stay on earth and face terrible suffering," one of the entries says. A farewell text message says she didn't want to die with everyone else and would take her life in advance. "She took this date too close to heart," Nastya's mother Lyudmila told the tabloid. Harold Camping and his supporters launched a world-wide campaign to inform humanity about the upcoming rapture, the date of which he predicted based on a series of convoluted calculations taken from the Bible. A few adds promoting his message were put on billboards in Russia as well. After the prediction proved false, Camping recanted his original claim, stating that the end of the world will now come in October.
My Comments: First, "Harold" "Camping" needs to "hush" his mouth and "camp" out somewhere else besides a radio station. What a tragic situation for this poor child. Second, Mr. Camping camps out at his radio station preaching, preaching, preaching, but I wonder if he has actually comprehended anything he has ever read in the Bible, obviously not. If this man knew the Word of God, as he proclaims, he would know that Jesus Himself said in Mark 13:32 "No man knows of that day and that hour, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son (Jesus Himself), but only the Father (God) knows." What is it about "no man knows the day or hour" that Harold Camping doesn't get! God doesn't want us to know and He made it very clear we will not know the day or hour. We will know when it is close, by the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, but not the day or hour. In fact, the apostle Paul said in I Thessalonians 5:2, "You know perfectly that the day of the Lord will come as a 'thief in the night.'" Third, this guy, Harold Camping, is a false prophet and no one should listen to him. The Bible tells us that a prophet's "words will not fall to the ground," meaning every word that a prophet says will come true. Samuel was a true prophet of God and the Bible says that "The Lord was with him (Samuel) and did not let any of his 'words fall to the ground,'" I Samuel 3:19. This is a prophet; Harold Camping is not a prophet. In fact, I will go further than that. Either we are inspired by God, or the devil, there is no middle ground. Jesus will return and I believe He is coming very soon, but the message has to be one not of "doomsday," but of "get ready for the coming of the Lord, He loves you and He doesn't want you to suffer eternally." This child in Russia obviously had the fear of God and she didn't deny Jesus. In fact, she took her own life because she believed and was afraid, but she didn't know how to respond. I believe Jesus met this child on her way out and she's much better off than Harold Camping right now!

AP: London - Airlines moaned in Europe and passengers groaned as ash from an erupting Icelandic volcano brought days of uncertainty to thousands of air travelers. Hundreds of flights were cancelled Tuesday, as winds blew a cloud of ash from the Grimsvotn volcano over to Scotland. Experts say particles from the ash can stall jet engines and sandblast planes' windows. Ash has swept over Norway and is headed for Scotland; Germany could be affected tomorrow.
My Comments: Acts 2:9: "I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath; blood, fire and vapor of smoke" Revelation 8:7: "The first angel sounded and there followed ail and fire mingled with blood and they were cast on the earth, and a third of the trees burned up and all green grass burned up." As we near the very last days, I believe we will see more volcanic eruptions, which would explain the description of the wrath of God poured out, as it is described in Acts and Revelation. BBC News (excerpts): Tornadoes sweeping the US Midwest have struck near Oklahoma, hitting vehicles on a section of motorway west of the Oklahoma State Capital. Officials said at least five people had been killed and many others injured.
The new storms come, as rescue workers search for hundreds of people missing in Joplin, Missouri, about 200 miles (320 km) to the north-east. At least 122 people were killed on Sunday by a powerful tornado that cut a wide swathe through the city.
The Oklahoma tornadoes hit rural areas to the west and south of Oklahoma City, officials said. State officials said at least five people had been killed. The tornadoes formed from storm systems that began in western Oklahoma State and began travelling north-east in the afternoon. A weather monitoring site in El Reno recorded winds at 151 miles per hour (243 km/h). As the storms built up, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin warned people to take shelter. "This is a very dangerous time right now," she told CNN. Television reports showed tornadoes forming and striking the ground.
Two more people were reported to have died in Kansas storms there on Tuesday. The storms were forecast to move over Joplin, Missouri, bringing the possibility of more tornadoes for the badly damaged city. Rescue workers were sifting through the wide path of debris Sunday's twister left, hoping to find some of the hundreds of people still unaccounted for. Much of the south side of Joplin is reported to have been leveled, with churches, schools, businesses and homes reduced to rubble.
My Comments: Apparently the storms are not over and more tragedy is hitting throughout the midwest. We need to continue praying for those affected throughout Missouri, Kansas and now Oklahoma. We need to pray, not only for their safety during upcoming storms and their recovery, but we need to ask God to move on the hearts of Americans to turn to the Lord; our help, and more importantly, the only source of our eternal help and security is in Him, while there is still time. The devastation has been nonstop for many months throughout the US and the world. We are truly living in the last days and, according to the scriptures, God is allowing the warning signs of permanent devastation for those who refuse to call on his name (Revelation 16:11). He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9 and Acts 2:21).

Fox News: The Supreme Court ruled that California's prisons must release 37,000 inmates due to overcrowding. This injunction issued by the court is the nations most radical ruling in history, with the prospect of releasing so many felons into the population. Infractions such as 54 inmates sharing one toilet were cited.
My Comments: While Barack Hussein Obama is sending 700 million dollars to the Middle East to redecorate Muslim mosques and Michelle Obama can't live with one or two assistants in the White House, but must have 22 (adding 6 million in costs), California will be releasing 37,000 dangerous criminals into society because we have nowhere to house them! I can't help but name this president Barack Insane Obama! Come on people, if the Lord tarries, why not vote someone into the White House that will try to salvage this catastrophic financial mess we're in, rather than seek out "Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos," with their spend, spend, spend and spend some more policies. On Thursday, he had the gall to suggest that we give Egypt 2 billion dollars of our "borrowed" money that we don't have! This is truly insane. I sincerely hope Sarah Palin runs, but if she doesn't, I believe I would cast my vote for Herman Cain. Sarah Palin has Christian values, while Herman Cain is articulate and he is a business man with a level head, and knows what this nation needs.

AP: Joplin, Mo - A massive tornado that tore a six mile path across southwestern Missouri killed at least 89 people as it slammed into the City of Joplin, ripping into a hospital, crushing cars like soda cans and leaving a forest of splintered tree trunks behind where entire neighborhoods stood. Authorities warned that the death tolls could climb as search and rescue workers continued their efforts. Their task was made more miserable as a new thunderstorm with strong winds and heavy rain pelted part of the city with quarter-sized hail.
My Comments: This could have very well been you or I in the perilous times we are living in. I hope everyone remembers these Missouri residents in prayer, and we need to pray for ourselves and our families, because these catastrophic events will become more frequent, as we read in the scriptures (Matthew 24, Revelation 6-22). "Today is the day of salvation" II Corinthians 6:2; tomorrow could be too late!

AP: Joplin, MO - A massive tornado that blasted a four mile path across southwestern Missouri slammed into this city with cataclysmic force, ripping into a hospital, upending cars, and leaving only a forest of splintered tree trunks behind where entire neighborhoods once stood. An unknown number were killed in Joplin on Sunday night, and officials struggling to communicate without power and cellphone service were leery of putting a hard figure on a death toll they feared would rise after daybreak. Asked about a report that 24 people died, city spokeswoman Lynn Onstot said grimly that officials were afraid it may be more. "Our fear is that's a low number," she said. The Missouri National Guard planned to search for the injured throughout the night. "You see pictures of World War II, the devastation and all that with the bombing. That's really what it looked like," said Kerry Sachetta, the principal of a flattened Joplin High School. "I couldn't even make out the side of the building. It was total devastation in my view. I just couldn't believe what I saw." The same storm system that produced the Joplin tornado spawned twisters along a broad swath of the Midwest, from Oklahoma to Wisconsin. At least one person was killed in Minneapolis. But the devastation in Missouri appeared to be the worst of the day, eerily reminiscent of the tornadoes that killed more than 300 people across the South last month. Onstot said the twister believed to be between one and a-half to three quarters of a mile wide was on the ground for nearly four miles. It hit a hospital packed with patients and a commercial area, including a Home Depot construction store, numerous smaller businesses and restaurants and a grocery store. Jasper County Emergency Management Director Keith Stammer said an estimated 2,000 buildings were damaged in this city of about 50,000 people some 160 miles south of Kansas City. Details about fatalities and injuries were difficult to obtain even for emergency management officials because the tornado knocked out power, landline phones, and some cell phone towers, said Greg Hickman, Assistant Emergency Management Director in Newton County. Among the worst-hit locations in Joplin was St John's Regional Medical Center. The staff had just a few moments notice to hustle patients into hallways before the storm struck the nine story building, blowing out hundreds of windows and leaving the facility useless. In the parking lot a helicopter lay crushed on its side, its rotors torn apart and windows smashed. Nearby, a pile of cars lay crumpled into a single mass of twisted metal. Matt Sheffer dodged downed power lines, trees and closed streets to make it to his dental office across from the hospital. Rubble littered a flattened lot where a pharmacy, gas station and some doctor's offices once stood. "My office is totally gone. Probably for two to three blocks, it's just leveled," he said. "The building that my office was in was not flimsy. It was 30 years old and had two layers of brick. It was very sturdy and well built." Early Monday morning, lights from a temporary triage lit what remained of the hospital that once held as many as 367 patients. Police officers could be seen combing the surrounding area for bodies.
My Comments: Here it is again, "warning, warning, warning...." This is the "beginning of sorrows" Matthew 24:8. America needs to get on her knees before God and pray because we are hitting cataclysmic weather, earthquakes and national disasters in record numbers; but this is foretold in the scriptures for the last days. God, believe it or not, in His mercy will shake everything that can be shaken in this world to get people to cry out to Him for salvation and mercy; because after He arrives to cast judgment on the nations, it will be too late then. "Now is the day of salvation" II Corinthians 6:2. Tomorrow may be too late!

Excerpts from Israel Today: Israeli officials on Sunday had harsh criticism for US President Barack Obama a day after he sided with Arab "peace" and strongly suggested that Israel is the obstacle to peace in the region. In a televised foreign policy speech last Thursday, Obama stated that "The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines," and insisted that "The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves and reach their full potential." A day later, Obama met with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at the White House. During their joint press conference following the meeting, Netanyahu flat-out rejected Obama's premise that peace must be based on the 1967 borders. "While Israel is prepared to make generous compromises for peace, it cannot go back to the 1967 lines because these lines are indefensible and because they don't take into account certain changes that have taken place on the ground," explained Netanyahu. Right-wing Israeli lawmaker Yaakov Katz (National Union) was less forgiving, cautioning in a letter to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC): "Don't fall for Obama's magical oratory. He put a gun to Israel's head and asked it to commit suicide."
My Comments: Well, first of all Mr. President, the "full potential" of the Palestinians is to "Kill every Jew and wipe Israel off the face of the map!" This whole idea of "peace talks" with people who continuously and blatantly call for the "death to all Jews and Israel" is a farce! Honestly, could you see Americans trying to make peace with Mexico, if mainstream Mexicans were at the border always screaming "death to all Americans, we will wipe American off the face of the map!" If this were the case at our borders, everyone knows that we Americans wouldn't hesitate to drop a nuke on Mexico and "wipe it off the face of the map!" My honest opinion, which I already know would never happen (because it is not Biblical), is that Israel has just cause to wipe all of his surrounding enemies off the face of the map! These people are much more tolerant and peaceful than Americans are. If we were in Israels shoes, don't deny it; we all know that our surrounding enemies would be history! Shoot fire, is this whole world in a Satanic daze? God forbid Mexico would consistently shoot missiles over the border into the US; we would have nuked them all a long time ago! God bless Israel and God bless the Jews! I also need to add that during their closing speeches on Friday, Obama's posture was pathetic! What an insult his posture was to Netanyahu! He looked as though he was completely bored, with his face smashed into his hand, but the manner in which he grasped his chair with his left hand appeared as though he wanted to jump right out of it and attack the Prime Minister of Israel! What a pathetic display! You might say I am too radical in my way of thinking about this whole issue, but if you do, I dare say, you are not in tune with what God Himself has to say about it:
"Behold, in those days and at that time, when I will bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations and bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and parted my land." Joel 3:1-2 "Yea, what have you to do with Me O Tyre and Zidon (Lebanon today) and all the coasts of Palestine? Will you give Me compensation? If you compensate Me, I will turn and give it back to you on your own head, because you have taken My silver and have carried it into your temples, my good and pleasant things. You have sold the children of Judah and Jerusalem to the Grecians, that you might remove them far from their border. Behold, I will raise them out of the place where you have sold them and I will return your compensation on your own head." Joel 3:4-7 "Let the heathen be awakened and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there I will sit to judge all the heathen." Joel 3:12 In the event this is not all clear to you yet, God is going to gather together all of the enemies of Israel, including the Palestinians and He is going to judge them. Revelation 19:19-21 tells us that when God judges the nations who persecuted His people, He is going to "kill them with the sword of Him who sat upon the horse...and all the fouls were filled with their flesh" Revelation 19:21. I dare say, God is much more angry than I could dare ever be over the persecution of His people and the division of His land! Come to think of it, I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of Barack Hussein Obama for all the money in the world!

AP: Reykjavik, Iceland - Scientists say a plume of ash, smoke and steam from a volcano in Iceland has risen 12 miles (20 kilometers) into the air, but there is no sign yet that it will disrupt international air traffic. The Grimsvotn volcano began erupting Saturday for the first time since 2004. Police closed a main road near the volcano on Sunday, as heavy ash fell in the sparsely populated area. Air officials ordered a no-fly zone of 120 nautical miles (220 kilometers) in all directions around the volcano, which lies under the uninhabited Vatnajokull glacier. In April 2010, ash from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano was blown toward Europe. Officials closed the continents air space for five days, fearing the ash could harm jet engines. Some 10 million travelers were stranded.

Fox News: President Obama's call for 2 billion in loan assistance to Egypt has left many political figures scratching their heads, as they try to figure out why a debt ridden US would commit that much money to a country whose new government may not end up friendly to America. In Thursday's sweeping address on the uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa, the president said he wants the US to forgive roughly 1 billion in debt owed by Egypt and to provide another billion in loan guarantees to free up money for job creation efforts there.
My Comments: This is the straw that "broke the camel's back!" America is bankrupt, Obama wants to give 1 billion to Egypt, forgive another 1 billion loan, after he already sent 700 million to the Middle East to refurbish mosques. The Egyptians must be laughing at us all the way to the bank. For one thing, did anyone miss the splendor of the massive, gold-lined palace that the former Egyptian President lived in? Since when do they need our money! I would say this has to be a case of "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine!" If the American people are stupid enough to vote Barack Hussein Obama into the White House during this next election, then I suppose you all deserve what you get!

At the 2008 meeting of AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee), candidate and Senator Barack Obama spoke to the crowd and made a promise that "Jerusalem should always remain the capital of Israel and NEVER be divided." He blatantly contradicted yesterday's speech (5/19/11) at the State Department, when he said, "Americans want Israel to revert back to the post 1967 borders," which would divide Israel and give the Palestinians East Jerusalem.
