Associated Press: A slow migration unfolded in central Mississippi on Thursday, with people and animals seeking higher ground to escape the flooding from the Mississippi River and its tributaries. In Louisiana, water poured over a century-old levee, flooding 12,000 acres of corn and soybeans despite farmers' frantic efforts to shore up the structure. Downstream, officials with the port of New Orleans said the Coast Guard could close the river to ships as early as Monday, halting traffic on one of the world's busiest commercial waterways. After swamping low-lying neighborhoods in Memphis, TN, earlier this week, the rising water is bringing misery to farmers and small waterfront communities in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. The Corps of Engineers is considering whether to open the Morganza spillway, which would flood thousands of homes and acres of farmland along a 100-mile stretch in Louisiana, but take the pressure off levees and help to protect Baton Rouge, New Orleans and the oil refineries in between. A decision is expected in the next several days. In Yazoo City, Mississippi, Brett Robinson drove slowly down River Road near his farm Thursday staring at corn fields that are beginning to look like lakes. He stopped his truck, pulled out a rifle and shot a wild hog swimming through his corn. He knows he'll lose his crops to the flood anyway, but that hog could be a nuisance even longer than the water. "We lose a lot of crops to them," he said, of wild pigs. We can lose 40 acres a night. They can give birth three times a year and have 15 in a litter. In Bunche's Bend, in the northeastern corner of Louisiana, there was heartbreak in the voice of farmer Ted Schneider, as he watched the muddy river creep into his 2,800 acres of soybeans. "It's kind of discouraging to look out here and think about all that work and money and know it's all going to be gone in a few days," said Schneider, who has farmed the land since 1984.
My Comments: The catastrophic tragedies haven't let up in the last several years, and as you can see, they are becoming more frequent, as Jesus told us in Matthew 24. There are many other scriptures in the Bible which foretell the selective judgment which will come upon all the earth in the last days. This is it; we live in that generation foretold by Jesus and the prophets. Are you ready for the coming of the Lord? It is time to get ready, stay close to Him, watch and wait. The Lord said, "When you see things things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws nigh."

Fox News: If you watched the entire Glenn Beck Show today, you will have also noticed that he had a special guest on his program, Loretta Honeycutt, to talk about the public school curriculum which teaches children socialism, racism, and promotes treason in our country. In fact, children in Arizona were incited to protest so violently that riot police were called to break up their protest against the school district for making their controversial curriculum voluntary, versus mandatory.
My Comments: Forget now that Barack Obama "kicked dust" in the face of Texans and refused to help with wildfires, while sending cargo planes to battle fires in Mexico. This Administration's school czars have crept into public schools with radical curriculum, which is literally destroying the minds of the children in this nation, and also causing them to become radically violent about their extremely liberal beliefs. Wake up America!! Once they have infected the minds of the children, America has been destroyed from within! No wonder FEMA is erecting "concentration camps" throughout America.

Fox News: You may have already heard on the Glenn Beck show today that President Obama did not respond to Texas's call for help battling wild fires, which burned 2.2 million acres last month; but President Obama did respond to Mexico's call for help battling wildfires there. President Obama sent cargo planes to help put out wildfires in Mexico, but did not help Texas!
My Comments: This adds to all of the evidence piling up, which demonstrates that President Barack Obama is working against America, to tear it down, plunder it economically and socially in order to bring about a socialist One World Order. If you don't believe me, that's okay. There will be plenty more news to come. You will eventually get it; it may be too late, but you will get it.

Fox News Latest: Catastrophic situations are expected, as the Mississippi is ready to crest at any moment. Hundreds of homes have been destroyed and emergency centers are full in Vicksburg, MS. The water is right up to the levees and Vicksburg is expecting another 5-6 feet of water and over 50 feet of waters are predicted.
My Comments: As you are reading this update, please pray for all of the people being affected by these floods in Mississippi and Tennessee.

Associated Press: Memphis, TN: The Mississippi River crested in Memphis at nearly 48 feet on Tuesday, falling short of its all time record, but still soaking low-lying areas with enough water to require massive cleanup. To the south, residents in Mississippi Delta prepared for the worst. National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Borghoff says the river reached 47.85 feet at 2 am local time Tuesday and is expected to stay very close to that level for the next 24 to 36 hours. Hitting the high point means things shouldn't get worse in the area, but it will take weeks for the water to recede and much longer for inundated areas to recover. "Pretty much the damage has been done," Borghoff said. In states downstream, farmers built homemade levees to protect their crops and engineers diverted water into a lake to ease the pressure on the levees around New Orleans. Inmates in Louisiana's largest prison were also evacuated to higher ground. The Memphis crest is below the record of 48.7 feet recorded during the devastating 1937 flood. Surrounding Shelby County and four others were declared disaster areas by President Obama, which means that they'll be eligible for much-needed federal disaster aid. Bob Nations Jr., Director of the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency, described on Monday what he expects to be a slow and costly retreat by the high water. "They are going to recede slowly; it's going to be rather putrid; it's going to be expensive to clean up; it's going to be labor intensive." The slow-moving disaster is headed downstream to Mississippi and Louisiana, where residents are bracing themselves. Scott Haynes estimated he will spend $80,000 on contractors to build levees around his house and grain silos, which hold 200,000 bushels of rice that he can't get out before the water comes. Heavy equipment has been mowing down his wheat fields to get to the dirt that is being used to build the levees and he expected nearly all of his farmland to flood. This is just one of the many, many stories in the areas of devastation.
My Comments: You can believe this is not only going to devastate many farmers, unless we pray and call on the name of the Lord for help, but it will also effect the already crushed economy.

Associated Press: In Cairo, Muslim mobs set two Cairo churches on fire overnight during sectarian clashes that left 12 dead and more than 200 injured. The deepening persecution against Christians in military-ruled Egypt exacerbated an already chaotic and lawless transition to "democracy." Mobs of Muslims attacked the St. Menas Church in the Cairo slum of Imbaba late Saturday, following rumors that a Christian woman, who married a Muslim man, had been abducted.
My Comments: Muslims have declared Jihad ("holy war") throughout the Middle East, in preparation for their Mahdi (Messiah). The Muslim "holy book" (Qu'ran) commands Muslims to war against Christians and Jews until they are all subdued, and end up dead after the Mahdi arrives. Furthermore, Muslims have no regard for the desires of women. A Muslim man can marry a Christian woman, for the purpose of converting her. However, a Muslim woman who marries a Christian man will be killed. These uprisings, riots, killings and political takeovers in the Middle Eastern Muslim nations all point to the return of Christ, as well as the return of their Mahdi, who they believe will arrive on a white horse. Does that sound familiar? It should. In Revelation 6:2, we read that the Antichrist will ride in the scene on a white horse, "And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat on him had a bow and a crown was given unto him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer." Jesus also arrives on a white horse in Revelation 19:11, "who is called Faithful and True." He will arrive to judge and make war with the Antichrist. The Word of God tells us that the Antichrist, the Muslim's Mahdi, will conquer and rule the nations (being the reason he is given a crown) and you are seeing this happen before your eyes.

Fox News: In what may be his last recorded words, Osama bin Laden warned President Obama that US support for Israel would continue to imperil America's security. The audio tape released after Bin Laden was killed by US forces more than a week ago, had been expected. A US official told Fox News last week that a tape was in the "pipeline" and would contain the same "tired subject matter." Agence France-Presse (AFP) first reported on the content of the message, which was posted on the Al-Qaeda-affiliated website Shamikh1.net. The news service said Bin Laden warned that US security is tied to conditions in the Palestinian territories. "America will not be able to dream of security, until we live in security in Palestine. It is unfair that you live in peace, while our brothers in Gaza live in insecurity," Bin Laden said, according to AFP. He also appeared to claim credit for the failed bombing attempt on a Detroit-bound plane in December 2009. Though the authenticity was not immediately confirmed, there has never been a fake tape purported to be from Bin Laden or one of his deputies. According to a senior US intelligence official, a copy of an audiotape discussing the recent unrest in the Middle East was also collected at Bin Laden's compound during the Navy SEAL's raid last weekend. However, the official could not confirm whether the audio published on Middle East websites Monday is the last Bin Laden tape, representing his "final will and testament."
My Comments: Every time the Palestinians attack Israel, to start a major war, Israel defeats them. Israel reclaimed Jerusalem during the Six Day War, which the Palestinians initiated against Israel. So many in the world complain that the Palestinians are abused by Israel, but I have never seen a country more charitable to a group of warmongers and thugs as Israel is to the Palestinians. Much of the world is insane and can't see clearly; they must be demon possessed in these last days, in their attempts to accuse Israel for anything against Palestinians! Israel has done nothing but try to assist Palestinians, all the while they are shooting rockets into Israel. Israel does nothing to provoke the attacks, yet the Palestinians continue to shoot rockets into Israel and Israel does little in retaliation; still, the world accuses Israel! It wouldn't do the Palestinians any good at all to torment me with rockets, because I would have blown them all to their destiny a long time ago. This is absolutely a sign that we are at the time of the end.

USGS: A 6.2 earthquake hit approximately between the Antarctic and New Zealand today. Quakes also continue to roll Japan within the 4.5 - 5.8 range. Three quakes within this magnitude have hit Japan so far today and seven hit yesterday.

Ynetnews: Sources in Cairo are expressing great optimism and claiming that a prisoner swap for abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit may be finalized by the middle of June, Palestinian newspaper al-Manar reported today. The credibility of the east Jerusalem paper's report is unclear at this time, as reports regarding progress on the Shalit front were proven overly optimistic. A Cairo source told the paper that new Israeli chief negotiator, David Meidan, will arrive in the Egyptian capital in the coming days and hold meetings with senior Egyptian officials regarding the swap. According to the report Meidan will also be meeting with the German mediator who recently discussed the Shalit affair with top Hamas figures in Cairo. According to the source, Egypt boosted its efforts as of late in a bid to finalize a prisoner deal between Israel and Hamas. The commander of Hamas's military wing, Ahmed Jabari, was reportedly in Cairo recently and discussed the swap with Egypt's intelligence chief. Earlier this week, Hamas's Politburo Chief Khaled Maashal said that while some progress was achieved in recent months in respect to a prisoner swap, Palestinian demands have not yet been met.
My Comments: This young Israeli soldier, only 25 years old, was kidnapped on 6/25/06, by a Hamas cross border raid. He has been held hostage in the Gaza strip at an unknown location for the last five years. I have seen the anguished face of this young man's mother and I can't even imagine what I would do in her position. This young soldier is being held where "Satan's seat is," among Palestinian's Hamas terrorists and is suffering God only knows what. Gilad has been on my daily prayer list for the last year and I am trusting God that these news reports have validity, that God's hand is intervening in this tragic situation and that the Lord will restore him to his family very soon. If you haven't heard of Gilad, please pray for him; please pray for his safety and soon return to his family, and please pray for his family. Let's pray, believing God, as if this was your own son, or my own son. Thank you and God bless you.
