4/18/11, Fox News: Syria is scheduled to be elected next month to the UN's top "human rights body" and Iran is on the UN's top "women's rights body." Syria's government, accused of shooting peaceful protesters, is bidding at the United Nations for a seat on the Geneva-based Human Rights Council, less than a month after Libya was suspended for attaching demonstrators. More than 90 people have been killed in Syria as the government cracked down on dissent.
4/18/11, RightTruth.typepad.com: Iran has officially become a member of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Although Iranian women are subjected to blatant discrimination and oppression, the Islamic Republic will now help set UN policies on the advancement of women.
My Comments: There is an agenda going on here. Muslims are rising up all over the world and many radicals are declaring "Jihad" (holy war) throughout the nations. Now they are infiltrating the UN with their Sharia laws, while the world sleeps! These things are all foretold in the Word of God and the world will see a dictator arise from the UN, the Antichrist, in the very near future. His days will be short though. Isaiah 5:20 "Woe unto them that call good evil and evil good, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

4/18/11, Fox News: UN PREPARES TO DEBATE WHETHER "MOTHER EARTH" DESERVES HUMAN RIGHTS STATUS United Nations diplomats will set aside pressing issues of international peace and security to devote an entire day debating the rights of "mother earth" on Wednesday. A bloc of mostly socialist governments lead by Bolivia, have put the issue on the General Assembly agenda to discuss the creation of a UN treaty that would grant the same rights found in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to "mother nature." Treaty supporters want the establishment of legal systems to maintain balance between human rights and what they perceive as the inalienable rights of members of the Earth community - plants, animals and terrain. Communities and environmental activists would be given more legal power to monitor and control industries and development to ensure harmony between humans and nature. Two years ago, the General Assembly passed a Bolivia led resolution proclaiming April 22 as "International Mother Earth Day." The measure was endorsed by all 192 member states. Bolivian President, Evo Morales, envisioned much more, vowing in a speech to UN delegates that a global movement had begun to lay out a "Declaration on the Rights of Mother Earth." Morales, who repeatedly says, "The central enemy of 'mother earth' is capitalism," called for creating a charter that defends the right to life of all living things. Morales, who was named "World Hero of Mother Earth" by the General Assembly, has since made great strides in his campaign. In January, Bolivia became the first nation to grant the natural environment equal rights to humans. Bolivia's law of Mother Earth is heavily influenced by the spiritual indigenous Andean world outlook that revolves around the earth Pachamama, roughly translated to "mother earth." The Bolivian law establishes 11 rights for nature that include: the right to life and to exist, the right to pure water and clean air, right not to have cellular structure modified or genetically altered, the right to have natures processes free from human alteration. The law also establishes a Ministry of Mother Earth to act as an ombudsman, which will ensure nature is not being affected by mega-infrastructure and development projects that affect the balance of ecosystems and the local inhabitant communities. Emboldened by his triumph, Morales's goal is to emulate his domestic achievement as a UN treaty. In a 2008 address to a UN forum on indigenous people, he said the first step in saving the earth is to "eradicate capitalism" and to force wealthy industrialized countries to pay their environmental debt. Morales presented ten points, or Evo's Ten Commandments, as they are affectionately called by devotees to save the planet. Among them is the call to end the capitalist system (meaning your and my freedoms), and a world without imperialism or colonialism. Respect for mother earth is Commandment 6.
My comments: I believe in taking care of our environment, for sure, but this focus goes beyond ridiculous, when they haven't given much thought to humans. Why not establish a national day of "Helping the Poor" or "Feeding the Hungry" or "Sheltering the Homeless?" These people "worship" the earth and have little regard for most of humanity. In fact, the UN delegates are comprised of elitists who want to hone the population of what they refer to as "useless eaters," which puts everyone in danger. Hitler started out killing basically Jews, which is horrifying enough, but in little time began doing away with anyone who opposed him. When these socialists converge and begin exalting the earth, which they believe you and I are harming, watch out! Barack Obama "loves the UN;" he loves it so much that when Arizona refused to allow open borders with MX, Obama took our sovereign matter to the UN for intervention! Barack Obama has a socialist mentality (if you have read his books, Audacity of Hope and Dreams from My Father, you will know this to be true) and his dream of a One World Order for this nation is ultimately a dictatorship by the UN and loss of our freedom as we know it in America. Ten Commandments for "mother earth?" These wicked people don't acknowledge the Ten Commandments of God Almighty, but they want to honor ten commandments to "mother earth!" This is BLASPHEMY!

4/17/11, Israel Today: The Israeli Army confirmed on Sunday the arrest of two young Palestinian Arabs for the slaughter of the Fogel family settlers in the Jewish community of Itamar on March 11th. An army spokesman told Israel Radio that 18 year old Hakem Awwad and 19 year old Amjad Awwad confessed to the murders of Udi and Ruth Fogel and three of their children, and that they showed absolutely no remorse.
The young suspects told security officials that they went into Itamar at about 9 pm armed with knives. The entered a home that was empty and stole an M-16 rifle they found there. The killers then broke into the Fogel home and found the bedrooms of 11 year old Yoav Fogel and four year old Elad Fogel and stabbed them to death. They then entered the parents' room, where they struggled with and overcame Udi and Ruth Fogel. After exiting the house, Amjad Awwad told officials that he could not resist the urge to go back in and kill 3 month old Hadas Fogel who was crying amidst her parents' blood. Amjad also said that had he known there were two other children sleeping in the house, he would have killed them too.
Following the attack, the youths returned to their nearby village, where an uncle helped hide the knives, burn the bloody clothes and get rid of the M-16 rifle they had stolen. Other family members helped cover up the murders in other ways.
Among the Palestinians, these youths are lauded as national heroes, which increases the motivation to commit such violent acts of murder against Jews, especially settlement Jews.

4/16/11, Associated Press: A suicide bomber strapped explosives to his vest and, disguised in an Afghan army uniform, detonated the explosives killing five coalition and four Afghan soldiers. The explosion also injured four Afghan soldiers and four translators, spokesman General Mohammad Zahir Azimi said. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

4/16/11, Associated Press: Tornadoes hit Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Tennessee back to back, causing ten fatalities in the worst storms of the season.
A mobile home was tossed for a quarter of a mile in Alabama, killing the man inside. Four separate tornadoes hit west-central Alabama over the span of about five to six hours and the Alabama Governor declared a state of emergency for the entire state.
Five tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma and at least three in Mississippi, where a state of emergency was declared for 14 counties there.
Arkansas Governor, Mike Beebe, said he had never seen the state suffer so many deaths from straight-line winds - sudden, violent downbursts that struck with hurricane force in the middle of the night, trees blowing on peoples residences. "I don't recall anything even approaching this," said Beebe.
The worst damage in Oklahoma was suffered in the small town of Tushka, where residents wonder what will become of their community after a twister damaged or destroyed nearly every home along their two main streets. Their only school was all but gone. Oklahoma Governor, Mary Fallin, declared a state of emergency for 26 counties affected by the storm.
My Comments: There is no doubt in my mind that these are Biblical "signs in the heavens" spoken of in Luke 21:11 and Acts 2:19. God is "shaking this earth" to wake people from their spiritual sleep. He wants people all over this nation, many who have forgotten God, to call on Him and pray. Often people won't turn to God, unless they suffer great loss. Nevertheless, better tragedy with repentance, than souls lost forever. I am not saying this with a hard heart. Personally, I prayed many times for my son to turn his heart to God, and because time is short before the Lord returns, I began to pray, "Lord, whatever it takes, please save him." My son went on to be with the Lord at the age of 24, but I give all praise, honor and glory to God that he turned his heart to the Lord on his sick bed. I grieve for my son every day and I would give "almost anything" to have him back with me now, but not at the cost of his eternal soul.

4/14/11, The Daily Sentinel: Roger Vangheluwe, former Bishop of Bruges (but still active in the Catholic church), admitted sexually abusing two of his nephews and said, matter of factly, he has no intentions of leaving the priesthood, during an interview yesterday with the Associated Press. He said he paid one nephew tens of thousands of dollars in support, but denied it was meant to keep him silent. He called the 13 years of abuse of one nephew, "a little piece of intimacy." He said the abuse of a second nephew was brief. The acknowledgement of more abuse and his attempts to minimize it caused an outcry. "I had the strong impression my nephew didn't mind at all." Vangheluwe complained during his interview that the church was targeted in abuse probes, but other sectors, like sports organizations, were not. "Why is it different for priests, and why should the church pay compensation and there is no compensation in other professions?" he said. During the interview, Vangheluwe sat relaxed, sometimes smiled and shrugged his shoulders, while trying to minimize the abuse. He said that, despite the abuse, he would never forsake the priesthood. He said he made his vows and would not break them. Earlier this week, the Vatican used its new rules to crack down on sex abuse by high-ranking churchmen, by ordering Vangheluwe to no longer work as a priest, while officials determine his punishment. Pope Benedict XVI will eventually decide his fate. He could be stripped of his priesthood. The prosecutor's office determined that the statute of limitations had run out.
My comments: This paedophile appears pretty confident that "he has no intention of leaving the priesthood." Might that possibly be because the problem is so rampant in the Catholic church, he already knows basically nothing will happen? Or, possibly he has his superiors "over a barrel." First, because this crime is so heinous against innocent children, I firmly believe it deserves the death penalty. If people can be shot for treason, you have to ask yourself, "Is defrauding your country more important than the life of a child, possibly your child?" The Word of God tells us that this is an "abomination" in the sight of God and is worthy of the death penalty, Leviticus 20:13. This was the law, before men began to compromise to the point now that this behavior is being taught as "good and acceptable" in our public elementary schools (among adults, which also leads to paedophilia)! This guy is worried about "the church paying compensation." He wouldn't be worried about the church paying monetary damages to his nephews, if the consequence for this crime was the death penalty, with no statute of limitations! A statute of limitations on such a crime might as well be a statute of limitations on murder! That's what's wrong with our country today. The laws of our country are relaying a message to these demon possessed infidels that what they are doing is not so bad. Has the whole world gone insane? He said he "made his vows and would not break them." What kind of vow was that, never to get caught? And get this, what the Vatican said about how they are cracking down on "high-ranking churchmen." What about the low-ranking ones? What about anyone who commits such crimes? Can you believe they are making a distinction? Did you catch that he has been relieved of his duties "while his punishment is being determined." There was no emphatic statement made like, He has been terminated from the priesthood! He has already confessed the crime, but there is still complacency and leniency! "The Pope will decide his fate; he could be stripped of the priesthood." Oh brother! How about the death penalty! What's that you say; you might have to condemn many among the Catholic clergy? Am I angry? I'm a lot more than angry; I'm furious with a Godly indignation! If these people had to face capital punishment for their crimes, they might get serious, repent and really get saved before they euthanized and then split hell wide open!

4/14/11, Israel Today: Israelis are growing anxious over the international community's renewed rush to impose a peace settlement on Israel and the Palestinian Arabs. The world's impatience is being fueled by Palestinian threats to unilaterally declare statehood in September, even in the absence of a final peace treaty. Palestinian leaders have publicly announced that they will declare independence in September and seek UN recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state. "The admission of Palestine to the United Nations has become an inevitable reality by next September," Israeli Arab lawmaker Ahmed Tibi told told Palestinian Authority reporters on Tuesday. Before he became an Israeli Knesset member, Tibi was an advisor to former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The UN itself on Tuesday suggested Tibi's assessment is more than wishful thinking, when it declared that the Palestinian Authority is capable and ready to function as an independent state and is only being held back by the "Israeli occupation." At a donors' meeting in Brussels a day later, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund together with representatives of nations that regularly finance the Palestinian Authority agreed with the UN.
It seems unfortunate for all of these "big wigs" that they leave out one very important factor in all of this speculation and agreement among their haughty selves, and that is what "GOD has to say about a Palestinian state within His holy borders. If the Palestinians had any intention whatsoever of living peaceably side-by-side with Israel, it might be plausible, but their only intention is to "wipe Israel off the face of the map." With that, GOD is going to destroy those who come against Israel; it is in the Word of GOD.

4/13/11, Israel Today: A growing number of Egypt's 8-10 million Christians are looking for ways to get out, as Islamists increasingly take advantage of the national revolution which toppled long-standing dictator Hosni Mubarak in February. Egypt Daily News reported on Tuesday that lawyers who specialize in with Coptic Egyptians say that in the past few weeks, they have received hundreds of calls from "Copts" wanting to leave Egypt. They are insisting on leaving Egypt because the "risks of staying are too great," Naguib Gabriel, a Coptic human rights lawyer told Egypt Daily News. "Many Christians are afraid of the future because of the fanatics in the mosques." At least 20 Christians have been killed in sectarian violence with Muslims since Mubarak was ousted, and groups like the Muslim Brotherhood have been taking an increased role in forming Egypt's next government. Coptic leaders have said that they are being left out of the decision-making process, raising fears that the Egypt of tomorrow will be far less free and democratic than the Egypt of Mubarak.

4/11/11, Israel Today: On Monday, the Israeli army published figures regarding the enormous amount of material and food supplies delivered to Gaza, while missiles were being fired into the southern borders of Israel. Hamas and its allied terror groups fired more than 90 missiles and mortar shells at communities in southern Israel in March. That number has increased significantly during the first two weeks of April. Food, medical supplies and building materials have been delivered to Gaza in the way of free humanitarian aid. Nevertheless, much of it is subsequently stolen by Hamas and sold to the local population at exorbitant rates to fund terrorism. Romans 12:14 says "Bless them who persecute you, bless and curse not." Israel has returned good for evil and they continue to operate under God's commandment to bless those who persecute them.

As a prelude to the Y2K scare, the FBI compiled and issued what is known as the "Megiddo Report" to police and law enforcement agencies. The report could previously be viewed online at http://www.cesnur.org/testi/FBI_004.htm, but the link is now broken. Excerpts of the report, or possibly in its entirety, can be viewed at various locations online if you search "Megiddo Report." The copies I have found show deletions in the original documents, so none appear to be intact. The report basically warned law enforcement agencies that those who believe in Bible prophecy, end times, homeschooling, the book of Revelation and the battle of Armageddon are potential terrorists. The report was top secret and was not to be published at the time, but it was leaked to the internet, after which time it is said to have been posted by the FBI on their own website. If it is published, I doubt it contains the original content. Of course, Christians are everywhere, no doubt among FBI personnel, and certainly many police officers are Christians. I used to attend Bible study with Santa Ana Police Officers. I heard later that one of the police officers, our Bible study coordinator, was reprimanded for sending an e-mail from his office with Christian content. I doubt very seriously whether any Muslim would be addressed for sending an e-mail regarding a Muslim gathering from a public office; there would be such an outcry of discrimination against Muslims. I can only assume my friend sent his e-mail during break, because he was such as man of integrity, but he was persecuted for leading police officers and DA's Office employees in a weekly Bible study group. This is just a prelude to what the Bible says will be persecution on an unimaginable scale. The Bible tells us in Mark 13:12 "Now brother shall betray brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents and shall cause them to be put to death."
