Fifty cattle have died on a Colorado ranch and the Colorado Department of Agriculture is investigating.  They have determined that at least one of the cows was infected with anthrax.

People living on the ranch, the cattle and equipment have all been quarantined and are being monitored. 

Officials report that anthrax can lie dormant in the soil for years, until the right conditions allow the bacteria to grow.  Of course, the bacteria could have been introduced by other means.  The cause and me...
