Mt Etna, Europe's tallest and most active volcano, erupted Thursday, spewing hot lava and ash.  This is the volcano's sixth eruption in 2012.  The Sicilian volcano has erupted three times in the last month, with regular 12-day pauses, reported 7news. 

The eruption is not far from the Zafferana Etnea village, but Italian authorities have not issued a warning of danger to houses or people at this point.
