POPOCATéPETL VOLCANO ERUPTS

The Popocatépetl volcano erupted on Saturday again, having erupted twice over the weekend. Popocatépetl is located near Puebla Valley, about 80 miles east of Mexico City.

The volcano emitted hundreds of short, low intensity bursts of gas and ash, which fell on the surrounding towns.

BARDARBUNGA VOLCANO ERUPTS

Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano has been erupting since August 16, 2014, and surface eruptions began August 28. Lava now covers about 2.8 square miles (7.2 square km) and continues at approximately 3,530 cubic feet per second (100 cubic meters per second), the Met Office reported.
