THREE VOLCANOES ERUPT IN THREE DAYS

Mount Rinjani erupted on Monday; Mount Gamalama erupted late Tuesday; and Mount Sinabung erupted in Indonesia on Wednesday.

The eruptions have disrupted flights in the area and hot ash rolled from Mount Sinabung about 2,000 meters (6,562 feet). Sinabung has remained on high alert status since 2015.

These volcanoes are among those along the Pacific “Ring of Fire.”
