Dallas, TX:  Health officials in Dallas declared a public health emergency after nine people died from the West Nile virus so far this year, stating the virus has become an epidemic.

The West Nile virus is primarily transmitted through mosquito bites.  It originates from the West Nile region of the East African nation of Uganda.  In 80 percent of cases, the virus is initially asymptomatic.  Symptoms later include fever, headache, chills, excessive sweating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, weakness, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite; in some cases the victim enters a near-coma state, going in and out of consciousness.

Jesus said, concerning the time of His return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7.  He went on to say in verse 14, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come."

The gospel has been taken to all nations in some form or another already, not a nation has been excluded, thus, the Lord could return at any time - the signs that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 are all around us.  If you haven't received Jesus as your Savior, please visit the How Can I Be Saved page of this website.  There's no time to lose.  Those who make the right decision before Jesus returns will be spared the wrath of God that will come upon all the earth, spoken of by Jesus in Luke 21:36, "Watch therefore and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man (Jesus)."  God bless you.
