In the space of one generation we have advanced from horse and buggy to supercomputer.

The Lord told Daniel, "Oh Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end.  Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased" Daniel 12:4.

We are living in the time of the end spoken of in the book of Daniel 12, Matthew 24 and Revelation.  It has only come about in the last hundred years that we transitioned from horse and buggy to the automobile.  Now we have commercial jets and trains hosting luxurious cabs with theaters included!

One hundred years ago, most children were home educated and their parents used the Bible as the principal curriculum.  Today, there are schools in every city and supercomputers can operate at a petaFLOP (a thousand trillion floating point operations per second).  The fastest supercomputer in the world, the Titan (pictured above), was built by Cray and is located at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.  This supercomputer can operate at 17.59 petaFLOPS, which is mind-boggling.

If man can accomplish these modern-day miracles, why do some find it so difficult to believe in God?

When the angel of the Lord told Daniel that knowledge would increase, he was also referring to the knowledge of Bible prophecy.  As we advance toward the return of the Lord and the onset of the great tribulation period, we are able to understand more about written prophecy with increased knowledge and advanced technology.  For example, until man created supercomputers and microchips, it was next to impossible to understand how the Antichrist would regulate buying and selling with "a mark in the right hand or forehead" Revelation 13:16-18.

Jesus said, "Of that day and hour (His return), knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my father only" Matthew 24:36.  Nevertheless, He said we would know when it is near, "When you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors" Matthew 24:33.

God has given His people the Spirit of discernment and He said in His Word that we would know the season of His return, "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; when his branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near" Matthew 24:32.  Jesus, with this parable, was speaking about His return, following along the subject of the entire chapter of Matthew 24.

Jesus said, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilence and earthquakes in diverse places" Matthew 24:7.

In the last one hundred years, we have experienced two world wars and there are rumors of World War III.  In recent years, we are seeing natural disasters, great earthquakes around the world, fierce storms and fires raging in greater numbers.

The signs are all around us that the return of the Lord is near.  Are you prepared to escape the wrath to come upon the earth against the wicked, as the Lord returns for His people?  If not, please visit the How Can I Be Saved page of this website.  There's no time to lose and everything to gain.  Your eternal destiny depends on your decision, whether or not to receive God's gift of salvation.  God bless you.
