A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit 148 km NNE of Palue,
Indonesia, on December 5, 2016, at 01:13:04 UTC, reported USGS.
713 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places
worldwide over the last 1,387 days. Among these were 84 7.0+
and 6 8.0+ magnitude quakes. (Sources:
