A major 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Philippines Islands
region on April 10, 2017, at 10:38:55 UTC, reported Geoscience Australia.
At least four near major quakes have hit at, or close to this
region within the last three days.
769 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places
worldwide over the last 1,507 days. Among these were 88 7.0+
and 9 8.0+ magnitude quakes. (Sources:

Major to super magnitude earthquakes have increased to more than
one every two days on average during the last 50 months.
