magnitude earthquake hit Solomon Islands on March 19, 2017, at 15:43:29 UTC, at
a depth of 38 km, reported Geoscience Australia.
763 major (6.0+) to super (8.0+) earthquakes hit various places
worldwide over the last 1,485 days. Among these were 88 7.0+
and 9 8.0+ magnitude quakes. (Sources:
