6.3 Major Earthquake Hit Kuril Islands Region

A major 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit the Kuril Islands region on Friday, April 19, 2013, at 19:58:41 UTC, at a depth of 20 km (12 mi).

Right now, there are approximately 500 active volcanoes throughout the world (UniverseToday.com), not including those under the ocean. We frequently see the islands throughout the world shaken with great earthquakes, PNG, Solomon Islands, Santa Cruz Islands, Sandwich Islands, Grecian Islands, Kuril Islands, Japan and Indonesia, more than any other areas in the world.

The Word of God tells us about John's vision of the Lord's return, "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together and every mountain and island were removed out of their places" Revelation 6:14. 

There have been 57 major (>5.9) earthquakes in various places over the last 78 days; among them were eight 7+ and one 8.1 magnitude quakes!

Jesus said, "Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, famines and pestilences and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11. 

During the previous 28 months, there have been at least 276 major (>5.9) earthquakes reported on this site.    

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places" Matthew 24:7.

Jesus also said, "Blessed are those servants whom the Master, when He comes, will find watching" Luke 12:37.
