Ft Lauderdale Mayor Jack
Seiler supports and defends laws that criminalize feeding the homeless
Arnold Abbott was arrested twice for feeding the
homeless in Ft Lauderdale, FL. He faces jail time and a $500 fine.
Abbott runs a nonprofit Christian organization, Love Thy
Neighbor, which has fed the homeless in Ft Lauderdale since 1991.
I never thought I would live to see such cruelty against the poor and afflicted in the United States. In fact, 33 cities throughout the US restrict feeding the homeless. Albeit, I venture to say that the police wouldn't try arresting a Muslim for doing the same thing in the US.
Mayor Jack Seiler said that providing the homeless with meals
only continues a cycle of homelessness in Fort Lauderdale, which is “not
productive.” He also staunchly backs laws which limit the storage of
personal property in public, and he hopes to eliminate the poorer population from
his city.
Seiler is a Democrat.
Jesus said concerning the last days,
“Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”
Matthew 24:12.
The Prophet Isaiah said,
“The vile person shall no more be called liberal, nor the churl
said to be bountiful; for the vile person will speak villainy and his heart
will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy and to utter error against the Lord,
to make empty the soul of the hungry and he will cause the drink of the thirsty
to fail. The instruments of the churl are evil. He devises wicked devices to
destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speak right” Isaiah
32:5-7.
We are living in the last days preceding the Lord’s return,
friends.
