ASIA BIBI'S FINAL APPEAL - A CALL FOR PRAYER

Asia Bibi is a Pakistani Christian wife and mother of five children, who was accused by her Muslim coworkers of committing blasphemy against their prophet Muhammad. For these verbal accusations by her coworkers, Asia Bibi was charged and later sentenced to hang for blasphemy.

Asia Bibi has been languishing on death row for five years and 11 months, still clinging to her faith in Jesus Christ - in the face of death.

Asia Bibi’s final appeal will occur in just three days, on October 13, 2016. For the statements of her Muslim coworkers, this mother of five was sentenced to hang and this will be her final appeal. 

Asia Bibi’s “crime,” deserving of capital punishment, was maintaining her Christian faith and refusing to become a Muslim before her accusers.

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) sent an emergency letter to Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, demanding Asia Bibi’s freedom. They are also collecting names for their petition to free Asia Bibi.

I have also requested prayer previously for Asia Bibi’s release from prison and I am asking again that everyone join me in prayer through October 13th, when her case will be heard. If you are able, please fast with me for Asia, which God's Word tells us is effective with prayer (Matthew 17:21). Asia is a mother of five and her very life hangs in the balance.

God can do anything – against all odds. The entire nation of Pakistan, except for a minority of Christians there, are demanding Asia’s death, but still, God has the last say!

Jesus said this would happen preceding His return,

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you (Christians) and you shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake; and then shall many be offended and shall betray one another (like coworkers?) and shall hate one another, and many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many” Matthew 24:9-11.

One day, you or I could be in Asia Bibi’s place for the name of Christ!
