Jesus said concerning the last days before His return,
“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill
you and you shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake” Matthew 24:9.
He also said before He ascended to heaven,
“Then He said to them, But now, he who has a purse (supply bag),
let him take it, and likewise his scrip (wallet), and he who has no sword, let
him sell his garment and buy one” Luke 22:36.
