HURRICANE PATRICIA AFTERMATH - MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

Excerpts taken from The New York Times

I rushed off to prayer meeting early yesterday evening, as I waited for Hurricane Patricia to touch down near the coast of Mexico.

After I arrived, those who gathered prayed for the residents of Mexico who were in Hurricane Patricia's path. We prayed there would be no loss of life and that people in Mexico would also pray for themselves.

The latest news, reported by The New York Times, quoted the director of Mexico’s civil protection agency, Luis Felipe Puente. He said there were no reported deaths. “The final result is a recognition that everybody paid attention,” said Mr. Puente.

The storm hit ground at 6:15 pm Friday, within a Category 5 range, landing near Cuixmala in Jalisco. Densely populated areas were missed, as it hit between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo.

Roberto Sandoval, the Governor of Nayarit said that with the storm's detour, Mexico avoided a catastrophe. He said it was “a work of God.”

Thank you, Mr. Sandoval, for giving proper credit to Whom it is due - the Lord God Almighty!

Roofs were torn from homes, there is flooding and the potential for mudslides, but overall, God spared southwest Mexico!

The greatest category storm to ever hit the Western Hemisphere tore through a poverty stricken area of Mexico, with no reported fatalities at this time. God is merciful to the poor, and He hears and answers the prayers of His people. Glory to His name!

The prophets foretold of great storms in the latter days, and more will come. These are pretribulation warnings, warnings for people to pray and receive the Lord as Savior, if they haven't already done so. *One day, it will be too late for many to pray that prayer.

The Word of God tells us,

“Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, which is a tempest of hail, and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to earth with the hand” Isaiah 28:2.

Other catastrophes will also come upon the earth with greater intensity than ever before, as we draw closer to the Lord’s return.

“You will be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, earthquake, great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire” Isaiah 29:6.

Nevertheless, the Lord is merciful to those who will call upon His name.

Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those remaining will surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and give an account of the life you have lived on this earth? If not, salvation is only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page - your eternal destiny depends on it. God bless you.
