Adam Lanza drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut, entered the school, shot the office administrators, then entered a classroom and opened fire, according to the Associated Press.  

Twenty children were killed during the massacre, seven adults, and the shooter also committed suicide.

Adam Lanza lived with his mother, Nancy Lanza.  Lanza shot his mother in the face this morning, then drove her car to the school, where he then killed 26 others, before killing himself.

A relative told ABC News that Adam was "obviously not well."  Family friends in Newton described Lanza as troubled and Nancy Lanza as rigid.  "Adam was not connected with other kids," said Barbara Frey, who also said he was "a little bit different...kind of repressed." 

State and federal employees believe Nancy Lanza may have once worked at the elementary school where Adam went on his deadly rampage, although she was not a teacher, according to relatives, perhaps a volunteer, reported ABC News. 

Nancy and Adam's father divorced in 2009.  When they first filed for divorce in 2008, the judge ordered that they participate in a parenting education program.

22 Children Attacked in China

It was also reported in the news today that a knife-wielding man injured 22 children and one adult outside a primary school in central China, as students were arriving for classes on Friday, which is the latest in a series of periodic rampage attacks at Chinese schools and kindergartens. 

The attack in the Henan province village of Chengping happened shortly before 8 am, said a police officer from Guangshan county, where the village is located.  The attacker, 36-year-old villager Min Yingjun is in police custody.

No motive was given for the stabbings, which echo a string of similar assaults against schoolchildren in 2010 that killed nearly 20 and wounded more than 50.  In one of the worst incidents, an unemployed doctor killed eight children with a knife in March 2010. 

Both of these horrifying events took place in the morning hours of December 14, 2012.  If you contemplate these attacks and massacres in the natural mind, it will never make any sense whatsoever.  Of course, murder and mayhem never make sense.  Yet, if you have spiritual eyes to see what is happening in the spiritual realm, you will at least understand what is happening prophetically.  The Bible says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come; for men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" 2 Timothy 3:1-4. 

This describes the general population throughout the world.  Jesus said, "...love your enemies, do good and lend, hoping for nothing again..." Luke 6:35.  The Apostle Paul said, "Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another" Romans 12:10.  He also said, "Charity suffers long and is kind; charity does not envy; charity does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up" 1 Corinthians 13:4.  The Bible says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ's sake, has forgiven you" Ephesians 4:32.  Lastly, "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering" Colossians 3:12.  These are the characteristics of God's people, few and far between in this world today. 

Jesus said, "Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold" Matthew 24:12.  The entire chapter of Matthew 24 speaks concerning events that will happen in the last days, pointing to the Lord's return. 

Why so many attacks against children today?  Satan has a short time to work (Revelation 12:12 - [today is 12/14/12]) and he knows it.  Satan has fledged an attack against the children of this nation since prayer was removed from schools, evolution and the monkey charts were hauled in, and now homosexual programs have been established throughout this nation in public schools, to encourage children to become and remain homosexuals.  In addition to this, abortion was legalized (Roe v Wade) in 1973.  During the early 70s also, divorce rates began to soar and teen pregnancies began to surge throughout the nation. 

What we are seeing in schools today and the rampant violent attacks against them are indicative of the spiritual warfare taking place against the children of the world, which is becoming more and more fierce, as we see the Day approaching.
