God Is The Epitome of Love  -  God Is The Epitome of Wrath

Have you recognized the love of God in your life, in this world?  If you haven't received Christ as your Savior, or you don't believe you have experienced God's immense love in your life, I invite you to read the God's Love page of this website before you proceed to read this page.

If you listen to the pastors of mega-churches today, or sometimes smaller denominations, you will never hear many of them talk about the wrath of God and you will almost never hear them utter the word hell; they don't want to scare anyone and, God forbid, they should run anybody off with a "negative" message.  Nevertheless, half of the teachings of Christ included warnings about hell and eternal punishment for the wicked.  Unfortunately, that is what popular preachers are very good at, half of the truth, but never the other half.  2 Timothy 4:3 says, "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."  That is very true of the day and hour in which we live; people only want to hear what sounds good and appealing to them and their lifestyles.  Galations 1:8 says, "If we, or an angel from heaven (even an angel from heaven!), preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed."  Today, there are at least 24 popular translations of the Bible, not to name those that are more obscure, and "ministers and translators" of the Bible today don't seem to have the slightest care or concern about tweaking the Bible just a bit to fit with their own beliefs, which coincidentally fits their own lifestyles.  Nevertheless, I would tremble, at the least, to change one jot or tittle of the original Hebrew and Greek, if for no other reason, because the Lord warns us not to: Revelation 22:18-19 "I testify to every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man will add unto these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.  If any man takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book."  "...add to him the plagues...take away his part out of the book of life," I take that to mean this person isn't getting into heaven no way, no how.  In fact, I would be scared to death to "touch" a word of God's Holy Word!  People have no fear of God in this world today!  The Bible says in Psalm 111:10, "The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."  The world today wants to associate God with: Santa Clause, gift-giver, provider, life saver, love, mercy, prosperity/wealth, health, goodies, a real good time, happiness, fun, games...the list goes on.  Although God does provide a number of these things, it is a fearful thing to willfully turn a deaf ear, to neglect the other half of God's Holy Word.  The Holy Word of God which also describes God as:  "...vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord" Romans 12:19.  Jesus said in Luke 12:5, "I will forewarn you whom you should fear: Fear Him, which after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear Him."  You can't get any plainer than that!  This kind of talk comes as a shock to many, because they aren't hearing it in church, but it's the BIBLE - the words of Jesus.  It's almost as if the world is saying, "What - fear my Santa Clause?  Who ever heard of fearing God - my Santa Clause?  If God has been your kind, loving, merciful, full of blessings and full of grace God; this is all good and well, because He is the epitome of all that; just do not forget that God is also "a consuming fire, even a jealous God" Deuteronomy 4:24; and will "cast the wicked into hell and all the nations that forget God" Psalm 9:17; and "whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" Revelation 20:15.  Who is it, who do you suppose casts everyone whose name was not written in the book of life into the lake of fire?  I can tell you this much, it wasn't Yahoodi - it was God!  Yes, the same loving, kind, merciful, good, gracious God, who has waited patiently for you to accept the "sacrificial Lamb" that He sent to earth to die for your and my sins, His only begotten Son, whose blood many have trampled under foot; it is GOD ALMIGHTY who casts judgment on those who have rejected Him, His sacrifice, His precious blood!  God, at that time, will no longer tolerate the world trampling under foot the precious blood of His Son - He will cast them all into hell once and for all.  Did you know that the Bible says we "cannot serve two masters and keep them both pleased?" Matthew 6:24.  Jesus also said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments" John 14:15.  "He who says, 'I know Him' and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him" I John 2:4.  Did you know that you can't serve God and Satan at the same time?  It is time to decide whose servant you are: "Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" Romans 6:16.  You can't have it both ways.  God wants all of your heart, or nothing.  "I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot; I would rather you be cold or hot.  Because you are lukewarm, I will spit you out of my mouth" Revelation 3:15-16.  God is actually saying to His people, I would rather you are for me with your whole heart, or against me, but because you are in the middle, I will deliver Myself of you.  God can deal with the heart of a sinner and He appreciates the heart of a faithful servant, but He cannot tolerate hypocrisy.  God knows every heart and at judgment, the truth will come out.

"Let us consider the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man" Ecclesiastes 12:13

"The Lord said, 'My Spirit will not always strive with man'" Genesis 6:3
